Cirri's memories return her to a trip with a Shoanti hunter as they traveled through a lush jungle. The hunter's ancestors had been disturbed by some blundering Taldanes. To avoid an international incident, Cirri agreed to help guide the hunter and a priest to the site to return what had been stolen, and to consecrate the area.

She didn't expect the burial ground to be so cold. The hunter realized his ancestor's curse was in full effect, and the priest was able to calm them while Cirri figured out where to best bury what had been stolen.

There, she saw it: a large plant, shaped like a viper. Coiled into a ball, it hoped to conserve body heat against the cold. With the curse lifted and warmth returning to the jungle, the plant shook in place and stretched. Feeling her footsteps, the plant erupted with pollen and tried to bite her. The pollen felt warm, inviting.

The priest dragged Cirri away while the hunter distracted the plant. He said it was the family guardian and it was best to keep their distance. The pollen Cirri inhaled made his words difficult to understand, but she was well rewarded.

Now, she sees the plant again. "Max, we could use some of your ranged... uh, Max?" She looks at the half-elf's eyes. "Jeez. Zurrus, can you break the enchant- ugh."

Cirri tries to use her staff as a wedge to Aid Ryushi on his attempt to escape the plant's grip.
