Really appreciate your patience. I'm doing way better and will do my best to get up to speed if you're still willing to keep me around. :)

Bludgeoning or slashing projectiles can't pass through the wall, and piercing projectiles have their range increments halved if they pass through the wall.

The rules of aquatic combat apply to creatures traversing the wall of water, targeting creatures within the wall, or passing through the wall. For instance, a bludgeoning or slashing melee attack targeting a creature in the wall would take a –2 circumstance penalty.

Then again, this is a large enough effect it may be able to reach over the wall and attack from above. Also this spell only lasts 1 minute. If the effect takes 1 minute we may be able to wait it out.

GM, since this is physical damage, can I reduce it using my shield block reaction?

What is the text?

While you have your shield raised, you would take damage from a physical attack.

Depends on what you consider to be a "physical attack." I adjusted my HP as if the answer was no.

Aiobhean - can you share a link or copy of the text?

Looks like it's >Shield Block< Trigger condition.

For me, I'm probably leaning more towards the oracle - Doc Ling. Mainly because Osh would like a dedicated healer.

Don't mind me, just going to waltz right in and begin healing with no explanation.

I'm caught up on the thread. You've guys had a tough time, hopefully Doc can make that a bit easier for you all. Thank you, those who said they wanted Doc in the game. I'll do my best (dice forgiving) to make lives a little easier to live.

I plan on adding botting instructions and special actions to Doc's profile tonight when I'm not on mobile.

Also, to make sure, placatting the curse (spirit?) is 2 actions and requires an Expert Religion check, yes? I'll give it a shot on my turn unless something stops me by then.

Not sure if I want to run or fight at this point, will wait to see what others do.

Doc's up next, and I'm going to try to disable it.

Also, mentioned in the post but good to mention here, but Max is actually the one with Shield Other on him. Osh just has Life Link. I wasn't sure about hard corners and healing someone around it, so he just got hit by the Life Link.

It looks like the tracker has Shield Other on Osh instead of Max, but that's an error.

What is Doc's Curse?

Life Mystery

As your life force seeps outward, it becomes more difficult to keep your body functioning. Effects that restore Hit Points to you take a status penalty equal to half your level (minimum 1) to the number of HP you recover.

Minor curse is just less healing and, because I think I'm cute, I have it as Resistance 5 Healing in his character bar.

@Max, I'll take the rounded up number today, but when everyone is in better standing I'll take the rounded down damage.

I'm glad for Doc Ling's sudden appearance, but at this point we need a hasty retreat. Doc can handle this cursed whirlwind and the semi-friendly repentant ghost when we're not dead.

This stupid whirlwind stole two of our feathers!

When we bot each other, can we only bot attacks and actions or saves as well? I might bot Osh.

Ugh. Paizo has been so finicky for me lately. It didn't notify me that there were new posts so didn't realize I was up. Sorry about that.

I hate when the forums bugs out and doesn't tell me when there are no posts.

Doc Ling, that was the best timed 20 we could have hoped for.

So, should we risk resting to heal for the night? Or should we move on? Seems like every room has some cursed ghost trap lying around.

Osh still has to escape, unfortunately. At least he'll get to go before the Sandstorm.

Doc can get everyone up to full rather quickly with Ward Medic and Continual Recovery, so hitpoint-wise everyone will be good. So it'll be up to everyone's resources. This is the start of Doc's day so the only spell slot used was a second level slot.

That said, the rest of the party has gone through a hell of a day. He'll understand the need to rest.

Also Doc - what is your plan to track Battle Medicine?

Added it to the top of his profile for easy access.

Thanks to Medic Dedication people are only immune to Doc's Battle Medicine for 1 hour instead of a day, and once a day he can ignore the temporary immunity towards the feat.

Osh is kind of in a bad spot, I'm afraid to bot him in the event my botting kills him, anyone else want to. Fighting could kill him, running away will blind him, doing anything else might provoke.

I'd don't think the sandman can provoke. Cirri was blind and swam out of the waterwall without provoking.

I'll try to move Osh and make a lucky Fort Save. Good thing he has speed 40.

Edit: Alrighty, then! Osh, you owe me a lucky 20!

I have no idea what's wrong with Paizo. It hasn't been telling me that I'm up. Really sorry about that.... Gonna do some digging to see what's up.

Will post for them when I get home and access to my computer later if someone else hasn't yet already. Don't want to post for them when Slides doesn't want to work properly on my phone, hence the wait.

Who has Religion or Occultism? These DCs are pretty brutal for what we need to accomplish.

Hopefully the sandstorm dissipates if we beat the sandman. Otherwise I don't know how we can reclaim those feathers in a timely manner.
