If we want to retreat, we need to get Zurrus and Max away from this plant. Zurrus needs to resist the pollen AND she needs to escape its grasp before she retreats.
Assuming that happens, how do we help Max? I think he has to walk up to the plant and stay right in front of it. We'd have to force him away.
- I could cast >Hydraulic Push< on Max to knock him back 5 feet back, and then run away. But the vines have enough reach it can still grab him, since it grabbed Zurrus and she was further away.
- My other plan was to try to >Shove< Max away. That's a Fort Save, though and Max Gain has maximum Fort.
Max, do I have permission to potentially deal damage with Hydraulic Push? I gotta get confirmation before I attempt it.
If Zurrus doesn't escape this is a moot point; Cirri wouldn't leave her to die and would continue attacking.

Running is an option, but also Ryushi could bust out some high level spells. He's not damage though and the best he can do rn is summon a flame Drake. He has a Freedom of movement as well so should be able to get Zurrus out, but then we have to maybe kite it. Does Cirri know the vine's speed?

DM, does Cirri know the vine's movement speed? My guess is that it's stationary, or anchored to the well.
Freedom of Movement to free Zurrus, and then I try to drag Max out of here. Would Max be able to intentionally fail his saving throw against Hydraulic Push or Shove?

Yeah, it seems like running isn’t an option unless we leave someone behind. If I manage to save against the pollen I have some stuff that can help with being grappled, and I can spam my slots on Soothe to at least keep us in the fight.

So it's a large creature, it has draconic frenzy which for two actions allows two fang and a tail attack and it has an attack of opportunity reaction with fangs.

In the end anything in the stat block could become relevant but the traits in addition to summoned are:
CE Large Dragon Fire
It might be simplest if I run the summoned creature as just attacking to the best of its ability as I am familiar with the statblock.
Summoned creatures are far lower level than Ryushi so they're really there for distraction more than actually doing damage.

Click on the Summoned trait and look for other traits - not the ones in the dragon's statblock - maybe we can call them subordinate traits? - What do you see?

I have Restoration as a signature spell, so I have plenty of slots to use on it. Just have to actually beat the flat check to cast it on my stupefied self.

Offf, we're basically health tanking this thing and running out of HP very fast. If Guillas gets out I think he should flurry and move out of range. Anyone who's an actual threat (Guillas and Cirri) should hit and move back forcing it to chase, those who are fascinated can take their turns getting beat on, and hopefully the dragon is one of them.
Maybe getting damaged will help people snap out of stupor and they can get out of pollen range? Guillas and Cirri should be able to kite this thing.

Seems like this creature is immobile and relies on the pollen to drag its prey nearby.
If people snap out of it, they should definitely back off and fight it from range, but we'll need some good Will saves. I lucked out and got a Critical Success right off the bat.

Alright, I've got a Freedom of movement and neutralize poison spell both at touch range. Freedom of movement is guaranteed so I'll use it on one person next turn if need be.
Can that person then pull me out of range of the monster please? Lol.
If haste is an option Ryushi would be able to move in cast spell and move back.
Neutralize poison isn't guaranteed and I'm not sure how it reacts to this poison effect. I believe after I cast it I'd have to roll 15 or above to get my +18 to 33 and successfully counteract.

I can easily provide hit and run tactics, I just thought it better to sponge up some of these attacks and give others a chance to get away.
With a 65' movement and flurry for two attacks, it's something I expect to do fairly frequently... under other circumstances.

Question GM, if I'm able to sucessfully counteract a poison on either Selshine or Max, would they able to take their turn to get out of range of the pollen this turn?
Next question... It seems to me Selshine might be able to be out of pollen range, move in to toss a bomb and then run out again? or is better for Max to do some range stuff in the same fashion?
Either way if Max and Selshine are done with the turn it would make more sense for Ryushi to wait for next turn to do the Neutralize Poison and this turn would just try to hit the thing.
Also Ryushi just had the one hero point right?

The issue I think is that unless the spores are moved or we are, before our turn begins, we will have to make another save or be fascinated again. Technically, unless there is something I am missing, we keep having the fascination broken every round as the creature continues to attack our allies but then our turn begins and we become fascinated again.
Unfortunately I am not able to move as a reaction. I am not sure if Max can. Maybe it would work if you readied an action to cast it on our turn so we could take our actions and move out. I could certainly stay out of the range and try to hit it with a bomb or two in this case.

Ugh, ready action only allows a single or free action to work so can't ready a two action spell. I'll hang around in case freedom of movement becomes valuable but for now I'm going to do the hit and run thing as well.

Cirri is trained in Medicine and Nature. She can use >Natural Medicine< to Treat Wounds with a +23 bonus. She's a Master of Nature, so there are 2 healing options.
- A DC 30 Master check will heal 2d8+30 HP.
- A DC 20 Expert check will heal 2d8+10 HP, but I cannot critically fail. I may hit DC 30 anyway, critically succeeding and healing for 4d8+10.
I don't know whether you want the guaranteed heal or the big heal, so please roll a +23 Nature check to Treat Wounds.

DM rainzax, not sure if the ??? in your list of what people have in their hands means you aren't sure what Seishine may be holding or if you understand he has nothing in his hands normally. Either way, Seishine will usually have empty hands so he is better prepared for alchemy things.

Guillias is attuned to the First World and heals 44 HP with a 10 minute rest (on top of any treatment of his wounds) so unless we have Ward Medic amongst us, he should be the last healing prioritized.

If you're referring to division/multiplication rules, I was incorrect because I should have rounded "half my level" to 5? Making it 5x4 or 20 x2 = 40 not half (my level times my Con modifier) which is incorrect, and the way I did it.
