Cirri - you seem to be reading over the "Prepare" part of rules here.
As it is unclear, I'm going to rule that the Prepare activity takes an equivalent number of actions as the activity to be Aided, or (◆↺) to Aid (◆), (◆◆↺) to Aid (◆◆), and (◆◆◆↺) to Aid (◆◆◆).
Might be best for Osh to Delay until after the sandman so he doesn't have to stray so far into enemy territory, though I'm not sure if the sandman has a ranged attack.

I'm not ignoring any. It's 5 feet of movement to leave the room (unless outside the room is also difficult terrain). I can't be moved into Cirri's space, so that pulls me back 10 feet. I then have either 30 or 35 feet of movement remaining, which even with the difficult terrain is enough to get me out of the room.
If that wouldn't be enough to get me out in a single Stride action, then instead of picking up the staff I'd have left it and used two actions to Stride out of the room.

Your movement triggers the reaction, interrupting and knocking you back 15 feet, past Cirri, and then you have to contend with overlapping blindness and sandy difficult terrain.
Your alternative suggestion would be using future knowledge of the outcome of a die result and then retconning your declared action based upon that future knowledge.
Hey guys, sorry for being absent lately. I've had a very rough last few weeks. Mom was hospitalized after a pretty nasty accident then got COVID pretty bad. Still slowly recovering, but not 100% yet.
I'm going to read over the game to see what I've missed and try to push out a post tonight. May not be until tomorrow though.
It's not based on prior knowledge, as I made the decision to pick up the staff after mathing out the movement I thought I'd need to leave. We already had full knowledge of the effects of the reaction and I assumed I'd fail (since I could only succeed on a nat 20). It's the sort of thing that, if we were at a table, we could have clarified very quickly before I took any actions at all, so I don't think it's unreasonable to just change whether I picked the staff up. I'm out of the fight regardless.

Aiobhean, I'm going to ask you to step down at this time - GMing for you has been difficult, and I do not see it being something I am looking forward to for the next couple years of this AP.
To the rest, I am prepared to move on with a four-person team, and unless I hear otherwise (publicly or privately), my assumption is that we are moving on with four.
That's fine. Playing with you has been difficult, and this game had become a source of stress rather than something I looked forward to each day. The fact that I only found out I had been dropped because the game was suddenly missing from my campaigns, rather than any direct communication from you, is emblematic of why.
I encourage you to consider why you have lost 5 players in as many months, and to work on improving your communication and interaction with your players. In particular: if you think a player has made a mistake, be clear about what that is and offer an explanation, rather than ask open-ended questions that may only invite more confusion. Be willing to consider a counter-argument or compromise. Finally, assume good intentions.

For both the "Bonmu" and "Temple of Irori" maps, I am using clouds to cover up the areas the party has yet to explore. A version of the Hexploration rules is used to track time, with a scale that is 1/48th: instead of measuring turns in days, they are measured in half-hours. In Campaign Tabs, I am tracking the following metrics:
With "Time" measured from Before Sunrise to 16 hours later After Sunset. Each "□" is one turn (or one feather). As the game has progressed, I have tracked these metrics ongoing. Feel free to favorite this post as a sort of "Legend"? Will use "quorum of two" for now before progressing the game!
Hey - I'm still here and interested in playing. Sorry for lack of communication on my end. It's been a stressful past month and haven't been in the best head space. But I'm feeling much better and ready to continue.
A creature hit by the spider’s web Strike is restrained and tethered to the spider, preventing it from moving farther away from the spider. The spider can have one creature tethered at a time, with a DC to Escape or Force Open. The tether can be severed with a Strike, but this doesn’t free the restrained creature.
Considering these things can climb walls and Osh is all melee, it might be hard for me to bot him. They could go back up the ceiling if they want to and that would make Osh hard to do anything. I'll bot him if I have to, but I'm giving someone else the honors.
A quick glance through Osh's character sheet shows that he has a 15 foot climb speed and Quick Climb, so depending on the walls he could get up there. Time to suplex spiders off the top ropes?

Also, Osh will heal for 6, 3, and 5 (total 14) for being the creature closest to me when casting non cantrip spells. The 6 from last turn, and 8 for this turn.
I'll be on a vacation this weekend. The hotel should have wifi but if you don't hear from me for the next 40 hours you know why.
If Cirri needs to be botted, she will use her unarmed strikes on the baby spiders (+21 attack, agile, 2d4+4 nonlethal bludegeoning) and then raise her shield to boost her AC to 31. She also has Poison Resistance, giving +1 saves and 5 resistance to poison damage.
Whenever you finish casting a non-cantrip spell, you restore Hit Points equal to the spell level to your choice of either one target of the spell or the creature nearest to you. You can't heal yourself in this way. This healing has the healing, necromancy, and positive traits, as well as the tradition trait of the spell.
Since Osh is next to Doc, he is eligible for this healing.
