There’s a Tiefling racial feat, Fiendish Heritage that lets you roll on the table three times and take your favorite result. Can I take it, rerolling any result that would give a stat bonus?

GM of the Crusade |

Is it fine for me to take the narrative hook of one campaign trait, but the mechanics of another?
I won’t enforce any “taking a trait means you must take that mythic path” restrictions, so don’t worry about that. I’d prefer for you to use the traits as is. Send me a PM with some explanation for what backstory you’re going for and I’ll see what I can do with adapting the trait backgrounds.
Her glows silver in moonlight (which she likes), and bells ring whenever she passes by (which totally irritates her)
I assume you mean her hair for the first one, which is perfectly fine. The second one seems too general, so I’d likely change it to be something with more specific actions, such as bells ringing the first time she meets someone new or something like that. Constant bell ringing isn’t good for anyone, I wouldn’t imagine.
If we eliminate any of the '+2 to a Stat' entries from the list, would you be willing to go with a random roll and then let me choose between the result or See Invisible?
That seems fair to me. I think the only rolls I’ll remove are the Stat bonuses and the fly speed. Anything else is fair game! Feel free to roll it here, now.

That seems fine to me as well, with the only caveat being the levitate ability is also rerolled. Adventures aren’t usually designed with at-will flight/levitate at low levels.

I am still minus time on sleep, clearly. Yes, her hair glows silver in moonlight. The exact wording of the bell one is: nearby bells ring when you pass by. There weren't a lot of bells in Kenabres after the fall. :D And 'nearby' is up to the GM's discretion. So any bell within 10' is going to have far less impact than any bell within 60'. It became a minor side-quest for my character to figure out where there were bells (or Gods forbid) a bell shop in Kenabres and then be sure I was on the other side of the street. But I'm happy with you adjudicating how it works as you please.
That seems fair to me. I think the only rolls I’ll remove are the Stat bonuses and the fly speed. Anything else is fair game! Feel free to roll it here, now.
Hand o Fate: 1d100 ⇒ 57 = You gain a +2 racial bonus on Heal checks.
Not a tough decision there. I'll stick with See Invisible and have awesome hair and irritating bells! Thanks for entertaining my cockeyed ideas!
The guts of my character will be done either tonight or tomorrow.

A couple reasons. NG just fits the character concept I have better. And with the other class line, I'd like to eventually get the arcane trickster prestige class but that has a prerequisite of being non-lawful. So something would have to budge and as I said NG fits the character better. But if the GM doesn't want to allow it, I guess I'll just have to come up with something else.

I think I have a fairly interesting concept:
Gunslinger/Empyereal sorceror
Party roles: Arcane, ranged, actually a bit of buffing and healing via the celestial bloodline spells.
Lore: Kellid refugee, with a degree of Aasimar heritage (but is human) that traveled far, ending up as a refugee in Galt of all places, figuring out guns and hightailing the hell out of there before the Grey Gardners got interested in her.
Figured out "F$@% this, I got a gun, lets retake our lands and shoot some demons". Which nearly went really badly but someone bailed her out (Chance encounter trait)
Ended up in kenabres and joined together with the other PC as an impromptu Guerillia group.
Alignment: CG fundamentally, but more trending CN because she has seen some unpleseant things.
Playstyle: High dex and high wis make her an ok scout. By no means does she intend to be on the frontline. She can shoot pretty decently and quite accurately, but not that much damage (uses arcane strike and spell cartridges), but the damage gets a major bump at level 5.

I’ve got a character concept for Elyma a witch // bard (chronicler of worlds). She was born and raised by cultists in the Worldwound and managed to escape in her teens with the help of her witch patron. Since then Elyma has spent time in Kenabres learning everything she can and trying to adjust to life outside of the cult. Now with the attack on Kenabres she’s going need to survive and fight back to avoid returning to a life under the rule of demons.
Mechanically Elyma has a lot of arcane casting which along with bardic performance and witch hexes provides a wide variety of buffs, debuffs and some healing. Investment in Use Magic Device will further expand her magical utility. Additionally she’ll have a large number of skills due to her Intelligence focus and bard abilities, these will include Knowledge, Linguistics, Spellcraft.
Questions
1. For the campaign trait, I’m thinking Chance Encounter or Exposed to Awfulness would work with slight story adjustment story to fit with Elyma being from the Worldwound. Let me know if that works for you?
2. How much of the mechanics need to be decided for the application? I’ve got a busy week at work and won’t be able to get everything finalised or the statblock written up. Plus some stuff will probably need to finalised only if I’m selected to join based on what will provide the most support for the party.
3.Let me know if there’s anything else you need for my application.
- Race: Human (Comprehensive Education) (Focused Study)
- Class: Bard (Chronicler of Worlds) // Witch 3
- Ability Scores: Str 8, Dex 16, Con 12, Int 18, Wis 12, Cha 8
- Skill Points: Kn (arcana) 3, Kn (planes) 3, Kn (religion) 3, Linguistics 3, Perception 3, Spellcraft 3, Use Magic Device 3, 12 skill points + 3 background skill points
- Languages: Common (Taldane), Hallit, Abyssal, Celestial, six languages
- Traits: Pragmatic Activator (magic), Unintentional Linguist (social), campaign trait
- Feats: Skill Focus (Linguistics), Lingering Performance, third level feat
- Bard Favored Class Bonus: +3 bard cantrips known (ghost sound, mage hand, one cantrip)
- Bard Scrivener’s Versatility: one of Bluff, Diplomacy, Disable Device, Heal, Intimidate, Profession (scribe), Sense Motive, or Survival
- Bard Spells Known: cantrips (detect magic, oath of anonymity, open/close, prestidigitation, scrivener’s chant, one cantrip), four 1st level
- Witch Familiar: bat
- Witch Hexes: first level hex, second level hex
- Witch Patron: patron
- Witch Spells Known: cantrips (all), nine 1st level, two 2nd level
- Equipment: 1,000gp
1. Name: Elyma (she/her)
2. Age: 19
3. First Glance: human, scrawny, pale skin, blond hair, grey eyes, burn scar on left hand, simple robes, bat familiar
4. Additional Attributes: quiet, reserved, watchful
5. Born & Raised: to cultist parents in the Worldwound, not a good childhood
6. Parents: are cultists and were alive when Elyma left, current status unknown
7. Family & Friends: bio family included three older siblings current status unknown. Some acquaintances in Kenabres met as part of her efforts to learn (someone associated with a library or theatre would be good) also maybe someone who Elyma deal with the inquisitors at some point, would like discuss further if selected in terms of what might make sense in terms of connections to PC’s and NPC’s
8. Marriage & Kids: none
9. Alignment: TN
10. Moral Code: protect your own, learn and share knowledge, let people make their own choices
11. Goals: prevent demons & cultists from expanding beyond the Worldwound, find true friends and family, live a happy and peaceful life
12. Religion: gods are powerful but that is not enough to deserve worship
13. Personal Beliefs: that she should understand and make decisions herself rather than relying on others opinions
14. Personality Quirks: introvert, socially awkward, curious, slow to trust
15. Why Adventure: to oppose demons & cultists , difficultly with living a ‘normal’ life
16. My Role as an Adventurer: who better to oppose the demons of the worldwound then someone who is (unfortunately) familiar with how they operate
17. Distinguishing Marks: a number of scars from childhood, most not immediately visible
18. Getting Along With Others: wants to develop good relationships with others, but has been held back by her upbringing leaving her lacking in social skills and trust
19. Hates: demons, cultists, extremist inquisitors, lies
20. Fears: being forced to return to the cult, dying

I find answers like interesting.
To my mind, making alignment restrictions make sense should be one of the first steps to developing a sensible interpretation of alignment. Yet it seems rather common for people to want to break alignment restrictions to better fit the character, though I wonder how often it's more about mechanical optimization rather than rp characterization.

Xotikeidēs "Xoti" |

Here's Xotikeides, Cleric of Pharimia, and Admixture Evoker Wizard: Xotikeidēs Pharimias
In terms of why she's there, three-fold reason of religion, other religion, and out-to-prove herself... so some nut that is there all the way from Iblydos to ask the demons for their license to the portal to the Abyss (half-joking, but Alseta is one of her goddesses and one-third of her reason for being there).
In terms of party composition, she's intended to primarily fill the slot of healer and spellcasting powerhouse, though not in any traditional sense on the latter like a Sorc/Oracle would be. Might rearrange the skill ranks to fit the party better should I get in. The ability to send out potentially admixed burning hands and Cleric Domain abilities (not admixed) was too tempting over Alseta's domains, but the character is still the same either way.
Was thinking of a gunslinging witch, but seeing as someone already submitted a gunslinger.

That could potentially work! I think the main categories they’re lacking in are healing, casting, and a bit of rogue skills when Raban isn’t here.
So, for someone with limited PF1 experience, what would fill all of those roles with 2 classes? It's the adding in the rogue skills that I can't think of attaching to the other two unless there's a Wisdom based Rogue...

Combinations of rouge or slayer/some caster.
Combination of Bard (have pretty good rouge skills) or Skald with some likely dex based other class.
Slayer or rouge are obviously good "non magic" gestalts, Slayer is probably superior to rouge on account of having full bab.
Ranger with a wisdom caster on top was something I considered as well, I went for Gunslinger with a wisdom based sorceror, more casting less utility kind of.
Swashbuckler/Skald is surprisingly potent (you dont actually have to be dex based as a swash, the only parts demanding dex basedness is the free weapon finesse and swashbuckler dodge), i was considering it but its melee.

Sounds like you're looking at a Wisdom caster for one half of the gestalt to handle the casting & healing. For the other half with rogue skills (assumed to be Disable Device and Stealth) you'll want a class that'll grant you both as class skills and give you the trapfinding ability so you can also disarm magical traps. Rogue and Investigator both offer this as a core part of the class, Slayer offers it as a talent. Alchemist, Bard, Hunter, Oracle, Ranger, and Sorcerer all have archetypes that give you trapfinding.
You don't need both sides of the gestalt to have the same ability score focus, but Hunter & Ranger both have Wisdom based spellcasting. You could also just do a 1 level dip into Rogue just for the class skills and trapfinding and then take a Wisdom focused class from there.
Mightypion beat me to a response, but we've both pointed out some different things so should still be useful.

@Rosc: I generally try to pick people who haven’t played through the entire campaign, but if the character concept is good and you can separate character and player knowledge, I’m not opposed. I reserve the right to deal with any metagaming that does happen, of course.
For what it's worth, I've got two points to say in my favor.
1) I have many years of under my belt with Pathfinder Society, so I've got lots of experience holding back knowledge while playing scenarios I've already ran.2) My play through of Wrath went hilariously, tragically different from what I assume is a traditional run of the tabletop version.
That said, I'm working on my character and it should be done within a day. Going with Skald/Summoner native to Sarkoris. A proper Godcaller who's fighting to avenge his people.
Will the APG Summoner be a problem? If necessary, I can use the Unchained spell list. Or even the entire Unchained class, if you don't mind letting me tweak one of the subtypes just a bit so it stays consistent with the flavor.

GM of the Crusade |

Apologies, was a long weekend. On to answering some questions!
Are you allowing Variant Multiclassing? I'm not even sure I'd take it, but I want to make sure know all my options.
Also, how are we doing hit points?
Feel free to use VMC, I've never had a bad experience with it. Hit points are max first, then half plus 1 at later levels.
Would you allow a paladin of NG alignment rather than LG?
Depending on how you played it, I could see a NG paladin. Arcane trickster also isn't some super powergaming class so I'm more okay with allowing it to work. Did you have a deity in mind? Sometimes they have Paladin codes that might fit better with their NG alignment.

1. Slight flavor changes to the traits are fine, did you mean you were born inside the Worldwound itself? Would have to see more detail on that, but it'd likely be completely fine.
2. You don't have to finish all the 'crunch', just what you have there plus a fleshed out backstory is enough for me to consider you.
Ayaal is complete, I think. If I missed any requirements, please let me know. Thanks for considering her!
Looks great! Didn't see any obvious questions but I may have some as I get into the decision phase.

Trapfinding and disable device as a class skill can be achieved with a trait. That should open up the options a bit.

Solveig Stridsdottir |

Oh, I should add that I played through the campaign and am also GMing it elsewhere.
Generally speaking, I consider myself a partner in crime to the GM in terms of collaborative storytelling, it works pretty well.
I also like to use "reverse metagaming when clueless in character".
Example: Party enounters a Succubus.
My Bloodrager rolls a nat 1 on knowledge planes.
Bloodrager:"ITS AN ERINYE! SHE WANTS TO FLY AROUND US AND HIT US WITH ARROWS! WHICH SHE CANT DO IF I MANFULLY GRAPPLE HER! RAAAARRRGHHH!" Bloodrages.
His other favorite knowledge nat 1s where "SHIELD ARCHONS CAN BE CONTROLLED BY YOU IF YOU STEAL THEIR SHIELDS!"
"MIMICS ARE WEAK TO ATTACKS FROM THE INSIDE!"
"THE BEST WAS TO KILL A WRAITH IS TO SURROUND IT WITH LIFE! WHICH MEANS HUGGING IT TO DEATH!"
"IF I GET VERY DRUNK BEFORE FIGHTING VAMPIRES THEY WILL BE MESSED UP BECAUSE THEY CANT HOLD THEIR BOOZE!"
I am in favor of, when rolling low on kn. scrolls, to replace information from the actual monster with information of another monster, its often pretty interesting result wise.
Now, Solveig is a fair bit smarter then that (18 wis), but I am quite certain I can find ways to be wrong in interesting ways otherwise.

Little Blaze |

1.What is your character’s name?
Everyone calls her Blaze or Little Blaze. A name given her by the crusaders that stopped her captors because she had escaped her bonds and lit several of the cultists on fire with oil, igniting the oil with her hand that had been on fire. Or maybe it was referring to her utter fearless attack on the cultists that destroyed her tribe.
2. How old is your character?
52
3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
Blaze is a golden scaled kobold, though a bit better toned muscularly than most kobolds. Still really short, at about 2'11" and 39 pounds. She wears light garb that is modest but tasteful, though more like the styles of other races rather than the nearly naked of most kobolds. When she wears armor, it is often just a chain shirt under a tabard with her personal symbol on it.
Her personal symbol being a sun with a dragon scale casting a shadow.
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
She speaks speaks and acts more like an elf than a kobold.
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who?
She was born to a kobold warren just outside the worldwound, but she was very young when some cultists cleared out her tribe.
She was raised by a few crusaders that cleared out the cultists. They let her tag along and taught her how to fight and cast spells.
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living?
Her actual parents are dead and she remembers very little of them at this point. The crusaders who basically raised her are alive somewhere, as far as she knows. She had left to get some experience on her own.
7. Do you have any other family or friends?
Not really. She makes acquaintances everywhere, but she doesn't befriend others very easily.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids?
Nope.
9. What is your character’s alignment?
LG, which to me means she acts on belief and logic over emotion and values others before herself.
10. What is your character’s moral code?
That's complex. Contrary to most concepts of paladins however, she has very few limits on how to fight, focusing more on why to fight. She needs a good reason to fight, hurt, or kill, but if she needs to do any of those, she'll do it in whatever way lets her win. Traps, ambushes, deception (in a battle, whether an economic battle or a physical fight), are all fine. But a fight is to be avoided, and preference given to avoiding making enemies, and consider how current enemies might become friends later.
She distinguishes between those who are opponents vs those who are enemies. Enemies have your defeat specifically as a goal. Opponents see you as merely an obstacle between them and their actual goal. Enemies should be dealt with ruthlessly. Opponents should be dealt with an eye towards finding a solution that doesn't require everyone killing each other and with an eye towards future relations being better and thus treated with much better respect.
She believes those in positions of authority have a duty and responsibility to those under that authority, not the other way around.
She sees the fight against suffering as essential, that a lack of suffering is as bad as too much suffering. She sees her own growth ax the result of her past suffering and her fighting against it. Intentional suffering achieves nothing, but when faced with it, one should fight against it. People like her should confront the suffering of others when it is too much for them to handle. Can't improve if you're dead.
She sees evil as existing in choices made only, not in specific powers, items, etc.
11. Does your character have goals?
To one day found her own tribe according to her own way of life rather than how her old tribe lived.
12. Is your character religious?
Moderately. She doesn't feel a strong connection to any particular deity, but she does feel a mysterious connection to the divine as well as the darkness from the cultist's ritual, which she has taken as meaning that the divine nature of the world encompasses both light and dark.
13. What are your character’s personal beliefs?
Covered above I think.
14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
The ones who raised her were two elves and a dwarf, so she has a long view of time. A decade isn't very long at all. This also means she spends plenty of time when making things, and "soon" means a much longer time to her than most humans.
15. Why does your character adventure?
What else is she going to do. She knows how to fight and cast spells, but has never been tied to single place, so she continues to roam, to see the world and help out where she is needed.
16. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
She sees herself as a helper and protector. Fate will guide her to where she is needed.
17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
Her scales on her chest above her heart are blackened as though burned with magic. Usually hidden clothes though. Her left hand is a slightly different shade of gold from the rest of her.
18. How does your character get along with others?
She is pleasant and polite, but often stays quiet and doesn't open up to others.
19. Is there anything that your character hates?
Being helpless.
20. Is there anything that your character fears?
Nothing. (I as a player have no ability to handle fear because I don't know what fear is like. I've never felt it. She will be immune to fear soon enough anyway.)

I'm thinking the Agathion subtype. It has. Bestial motif, works well for a "guardian spirit" character, and it doesn't really need much tweaking.
But would it be okay if I was allowed to take the Mount evolution at some point? I've got no idea why that evolution is subtype specific, nevermind not having any good aligned eidolons on its list.

Solveig Stridsdottir |

20 questions:
1.What is your character’s name?
Solveig Stridsdottir, the latter being an patronym implying war-orphan.
2. How old is your character?
28
3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
Solveig is a human, while fairly attractive physically she is not really charismatic. At 1m82 she is fairly tall and, like most worldwound refugees has little if any fat, she is clearly more dextrous then strong.
Solveig tends to dress pragmatically. She does not openly display religious symbols, but on a closer look there is a white feather tied into her long silvery hair.
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
She is highly particular about keeping her weapon, a strange thing that looks of Galtese make, in peak condition then herself.
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who?
She was born and raised in Galt in a very downtrodden community of Kellid refugees. She got drafted into a series of incidents with Taldor, and came back with a firearm and the manifestation of her celestial bloodline.
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living?
She does not know her parents.
7. Do you have any other family or friends?
Those of her refugee group that came back to her are:
Askold: a grumpy old Barbarian who strongly dislikes the Mendevian inquisition.
Sevanna: A Kellid Skald roughly he age. Tends to agitate for more extreme solutions to the demon problem. Has heard some things about weapons of massive destruction hidden in Numeria.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids?
Nope.
9. What is your character’s alignment?
CG. While temperamentfull, she is at heart a good person.
10. What is your character’s moral code?
Akin to Kellid traditions, she distinguishes between her "pack" (her party) which she sees as part of herself, and for which she goes to bat.
The same applies for her community.
Then there are "neutrals" which is everyone she does not see as either an opponent or a foe. She will respect their lives, possessions and freedoms, but not neccessarily protect them.
As far as adversaries, she does distinguish between opponents, which are anyone who fights her for reasons she thinks "reasonable", and foes, which are those who fight her for reasons she does not deem reasonable.
Kellids were often raiding each other, an enemy from a raiding incident is an opponent, not a foe, in a different raiding season, this Kellid and her may be on the same side. A foe meanwhile is someone whom she oes not think she would ever be on the same side.
Other then striking first at a parley, or using biological weapons, she has not inhibition in terms of how to fight.
She is quite interested in turning Demons to fight each other. Her knowledge is sufficient to know that most demons, historically speaking, die to other demons.
11. Does your character have goals?
To free Sarkoris from its demonic occuption and refound it as a tribal confederace
12. Is your character religious?
She is a Desnan, with some Gorrumite and Callistrian leanings.
13. What are your character’s personal beliefs?
Covered above I think.
14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
She is an optimist, rather social, and somewhat paranoid.
15. Why does your character adventure?
If you dont do violence on your own accord, someone will either do violence to you, or force you to do violence for him.
16. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
She cast spells from the backline, and uses her firearm, to keep her party up, running, and enable it to fight larger foes.
17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
She is heterochromatic, one eye green one eye blue. It is thought to bring luck.
18. How does your character get along with others?
She has a pretty black sense of humor.
A Callistrian and a Desnan go camping. At the evening, they set up their tent in a meadow and go to sleep.
During the night, the Callistrian kicks the Desnan awake and asks:
Hej, Desnan, wake up! Open your eyes and tell me what you see!
The Desnan asnwers
I see the stars!
The Callistrian asks
And what does that mean?
Hmmm the desnan begins
What does it mean? Lady Luck teaches us that each star is someone elses sun, and around each star there maybe other planets, like Golarion, and other moons around them, some perhaps empty, some perhaps pristine, but some others certainly teeming with life! And one some distant world, someone is looking at the stars in wonder, perhaps even at us, and also asks himself, what does that mean? Isnt it wonderfull? The Desnan intones, as she hears the sound of a palm hitting a face
No you dolt, it means someone stole our bloody tent!
The Callistrian mutters.
19. Is there anything that your character hates?
Being helpless, uncomfortable talks about eating demons, hypocrisy.
20. Is there anything that your character fears?
Being helpless, being judged, losing control of her destiny.

Othniel Laurentius |

3d100 ⇒ (13, 59, 6) = 78 Rerolling the 6 (Levitate)
1d100 ⇒ 39
I'll take 59 (+1 to Will saves). Can't hurt.
Ok, this is Ouachitonian's submission. Othniel is a Magus (Staff Magus)/Warpriest. Never tried the Staff Magus route before, usually I play a Bladebound &/or Kensai when I play a Magus. But this seemed like an interesting archetype, and the quarterstaff is the sacred weapon of Nethys, so it fits. Expect me to want dibs on any magic staves we find, especially once I hit 10th level and can treat any magic staff as a magical quarterstaff (though I might prefer to go the Legendary Item route and craft my own). I've built him as a true neutral spontaneous-inflict caster, with the plan of spellstriking with those once I hit 6th and can take the Broad Study Magus Arcana, but if no other healer is selected I'm down to retool him to spontaneously cast cure spells, I can always memorize the inflicts. I really want to crit someone with a Harm spellstrike one day. Otherwise he's fairly straightforward, not as many skill points as I like, but I'll get more next level when I bump his INT to 16. It's a pretty MAD build, but I think it'll be loads of fun, mixing arcane and divine. What's that book he's carrying? A Spellbook? No, I think it's a holy book. Surprise! It's both!
Q&A is also in my alias, but I'll post it here as well for convenience.
1. What is your character’s name?
Othniel Laurentius
2. How old is your character?
36
3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
Othniel appears at first glance to be a half elf, albeit a fairly tall one (6'3"). He is sometimes said to look like the negative image of a drow, with coal-black hair and chalk-pale skin. He wears black and white lamellar armor, and carries an ebony quarterstaff, bound with ivory rings. Close observers will note his prehensile tail wrapped around his waist and the stunted wings held close to his back; these are the telltale signs of his tiefling ancestry.
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
He always smells faintly of sulfur. He is an active observer, always on guard for something unspecified to occur. He speaks often and intelligently on subjects of magic or religion (for him the two are essentially one), but less so on other matters. hE is ken to learn about the spellcasting talents or magical devices of others, though he tries not to be too nosy.
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who?
He was born in Kenabres, to Riftwarden parents. They disappeared before he was old enough to remember, and he was raised by his uncle Aravashnial. He has spent most of his life here, but some also in Kyonin, his parents' ancestral home.
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living?
His parents are dead. They were elven Riftwardens from Kyonin.
7. Do you have any other family or friends?
He was raised by his uncle Aravashnial, and has some other family, mostly in Kyonin. He hasn't seen any of them except Aravashnial since he was last there over a decade ago, training to fight demons. He is well-acquainted with all of the Riftwardens who operate out of Kenabres, but he would call only a few of them his friends.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids?
He is single, and so far as he knows has no children, though he has had the occasional dalliance, so you never know.
9. What is your character’s alignment?
Neutral
10. What is your character’s moral code?
He believes strongly in the dualistic nature of the world; in good and evil, creation and destruction, and the balance between the two. He himself is a guardian, a destroyer of threats (usually, but not exclusively evil ones), and as such stands upon the precipice; a dark servant of the light.
11. Does your character have goals?
Yes. He would like to do what he can to push back the demons of the Worldwound. While he doesn't dream of anything as grand as closing the rift, he would at least like to shrink their area of control on Golarion.
12. Is your character religious?
Yes. He worships Nethys, the god of Magic.
13. What are your character’s personal beliefs?
See #10.
14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
Anti-social is too strong a term, but he isn't always the most personable. He had a sheltered upbringing, and spent far more time with books than with other children. He is learned for his (Relatively) young age, and enjoys discussing magic and religion.
15. Why does your character adventure?
He hopes to one day learn more about what happened to his parents, and do what he can to diminish the influence of demons on Golarion.
16. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
He sees himself as a protector; one who sacrificed the chance to wield the awesome power of high-level spells in order to guard weaker mages and cleric while they learned those vital arts. His task is to ensure that the full casters can perform theirs.
17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
He has a birthmark in the shape of the Sign of the Seeker’s Spiral rune.
18. How does your character get along with others?
He's fairly introverted, but as long as they're not evil or bullies and don't pester him, he's fine. Mostly he sits off to the side and reads a book until the discussion gets interesting, at which time he'll contribute.
19. Is there anything that your character hates?
Evil in general and Demons or Blackfire Adepts in particular. Anyone who seeks to constrain or limit the use of magic or research into the same will draw his suspicion and dislike, if not outright hostility.
20. Is there anything that your character fears?
The expansion of the Worldwound or Tanglebriar, mostly. Also disappearing and leaving an infant child behind as his parents did. That fear has kept him from committing to any long-term relationships.

Alright, finished up my application for Elyma, added a background and some mechanical details but will need to finish up spells and equipment this weekend if selected. Thanks for your consideration GM of the Crusade.
Name: Elyma
Race: Human (Comprehensive Education) (Focused Study)
Class: Bard (Chronicler of Worlds) // Witch (Shadow Patron) 3
Campaign Trait: Exposed to Awfulness
But travelling the Worldwound on you own is dangerous and inevitably Elyma was found by a demon who severely injured her before getting distracted by more interesting prey. Left to bleed out alone Elyma didn’t have much longer to live when an unknown voice spoke to her from the darkness. It offered to help her survive, in exchange for future favors, and with no other options Elyma agreed. With a bat familiar and a growing skill with spells Elyma eventually crossed the border into Mendev.
Life in Mendev has it’s own challenges, dodging inquisitors one of the most dangerous. But the most time consuming has been Elyma’s attempts to adapt to how different things are from the cult and how to fit in here. But things are still far better than they were, and Elyma is finally able to learn and try to make friends. For the past year Elyma’s been living in Kenabres and working as a scribe. She spends most if her spare time learning from books, the arts, or people. The demon’s attack on Kenabres has brought old fear and pain back to life, but Elyma won’t let them win without a fight.
I saw mentions of the Tower of Estrod and the Librarium of the Broken Black Wing and was wondering if it would make sense for Elyma to have a connection to one of them?
2. How old is your character? 19
3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)? Elyma is scrawny, pale human with blond hair and gray eyes. She wears plain robes and usually has her spell component pouch, familiar and pens, ink, and paper on her person.
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)? Elyma tends to go into a bit too much detail when talking and ask a few too many questions. She also occasionally checks in on what her familiar thinks of things even though he can’t fully communicate with her. For particularly interesting conversation or events she will start taking notes.
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who? Elyma was born and raised in a demon cult in the Worldwound by her parents.
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living? Her parents were alive when she left the cult. Her mother was a cleric, father was a warrior. Elyma does not consider them family.
7. Do you have any other family or friends? She has three older siblings who were alive when she left the cult. She does not consider them family. She gets on with a few people in Kenabres, but isn’t sure if they’re truly friends yet.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids? No partner, no kids.
9. What is your character’s alignment? TN, Elyma makes decisions based on what’s going to help her most in the long term rather than ideals about good & evil or law & chaos.
10. What is your character’s moral code? Right now it’s pretty limited but includes: protect your own first (includes self, friends, and things); learn as much as possible and verify the information, especially before making decisions; let people make their own choices and bear the consequences of those choices.
11. Does your character have goals? Yes, ultimately Elyma wants to live a peaceful life with friends and family that care about each other. However experience has shown her that demons make a peaceful life impossible so their attack must be stopped first. Additionally she’d like to know more about her patron and maybe even clear the debt since the unknowns there could be dangerous.
12. Is your character religious? No. Gods are powerful but that doesn’t mean Elyma wants to worship them.
13. What are your character’s personal beliefs? Don’t have anything else to add to the above.
14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)? Curious to the point where she will ask invasive questions and explore topics others are uncomfortable with. Hesitant to trust, but wants to.
15. Why does your character adventure? Elyma needs to halt the demon’s attack and avoid returning to the life she had as a child. She also struggles to fit in to a ‘normal’ life.
16. How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer? Who better to oppose the demons of the worldwound then someone who is (unfortunately) familiar with how they operate.
17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)? Yes a number of scars from childhood, the largest one are a set of deep slashes in her side from the demon that nearly killed her. The most obvious is the burn scar on her left hand.
18. How does your character get along with others? Elyma is trying really hard to get along with people, but still comes off as a bit odd to others. She has a tendency to ask intrusive questions out of curiosity and to ramble about her latest research. She also has a hard time truly trusting others.
19. Is there anything that your character hates? demons, cultist’s, extremist inquisitors, people who hide information from her (excluding personal information)
20. Is there anything that your character fears? returning to the cult, dying
