Sorry Gwen. This was brought up early on in the GM Discussion and--sadly--the language of the boon is what it is. It throws all of you spontaneous casters under the bus. We know, and there's nothing we can do about it.
Everybody's chronicle except Viridian has been uploaded to my Google Drive here. Viridian, I have a question to leadership about which boons you should be getting because of the level 1 credit with your pregen; I will let you know when that question gets answered and I add your chronicle to the drive.

No worries, that how it read to me too. Besides she can use the boost if she's gonna keep on using shocking grasp (on herself rather than Hera).

Viridian, thanks for your patience! Your chronicle sheet has been added to the Google Drive. You receive the Tier 5-6 boon; it's a better boon, but you won't be able to use it until your PC reaches level 5.
Thanks again for playing; I'll mark this campaign inactive once Viridian confirms receipt of his chronicle.

Excellent - thanks for all the extra research. I had no idea. I guess I only need like 14 more chronicles to get there. :)
Actually, I never expected to need a second CORE character, but my first one has almost leveled out.
