Flickering green light illuminates this dank room. In an alcove to the south stands a stone statue in the likeness of a woman dressed in pirate clothes, complete with eyepatch. She wields a cutlass in one hand, and sculpted tentacles emerge from folds in her clothing to embrace her body. The statue was once painted in bright, gaudy colors, but most of the pigment has flaked off, revealing green stone beneath. The blue-green radiance issues from flickering flames that dance along the statue's sculpted hair.

The image of the woman, gnawing at the back of his brain, Elek pauses admiring the green stone and the flickering blue-green flame that dances along the hair. Not wanting to offend whomever the statue is or was, he nods politely, forgetting momentarily that he was invisible. "Milady"

Intently moving across the room without disturbing her, he pauses at the single door to the east. Carefully listening at the door, he inspects it for locks or traps. Once he's convinced that it's clear, he opens the door.

Worn furniture occupies this room. The bed clearly hasn't slept in for a very long time. You do notice a rotting bandana under the bed. Wrapped inside is a gold holy symbol shaped like a skull-and-crossbones. Even though you've seen ones like it many times, the name of the deity eludes you for the moment.

Collecting the gold holy symbol, Elek tucks it in his bandolier. Proceeding back the way he came, he again nods to the unknown statue, then moves toward the double doors. Carefully listening at the doors, he inspects them for locks or traps. Once he's convinced that it's clear, he opens the doors.

Four sets of double doors exit this vaulted chamber in the four cardinal directions. Ancient bloodstains mar the floor in several places.

Seeing the double doors, Elek decides to work clockwise, approaching the doors on the left first. Carefully listening at the doors, he inspects them for locks or traps. Once he's convinced that it's clear, he opens the doors.

This crypt is only partially finished - the eastern wall contains carved burial niches, but the north and west walls remain rough-hewn stone. To the northwest the floor has subsided, allowing a pool of dark water to form. You notice a concealed door in one of the burial niches. Of more pressing concern, however, are the four undead. Still dressed in ancient nautical clothing, they appear to be some sort of zombie.

Seeing the undead, he snaps his cursed prosthetic up, telling it " Chéngwéi dàpào. Bù réncí, Kuàisù pāishè" Firing at the second undead, he steps forwards, hoping nothing is in the water. Turning the cannon towards the third undead in a feint, he smiles, "Your next!" Turning the cannon back towards the first undead he commands the adamantium and mithril cannon "Yánggōng Dàn mù" firing repeatedly at the undead.

Burial niches containing skeletal remains line the south and east walls of this crypt. Around the corner to the north, the ceiling has collapsed, burying that portion of the room beneath tons of rock and dirt. As you open the door, ghostly sailors rise up from the interred corpses.

Having dealt with ghosts before, Elek keeps the cursed cannon at the ready. But speaking out, "Go back to your rest boys, I'm not here for you."

Waiting to see if any would speak to him before he shut the door, or began blasting.

Not sure they'll talk, but fun to ask. If he needs or can use an influence roll, please let him take 10(45)


With unearthly howls, the ghosts begin summoning what appears to be packs of spectral hounds.

Pausing before I do any rolling as it sounds like you have some sort of readied action.

Furrowing his brow, Elek, having no wish to fight several ghosts, shrugs as he shuts the doors, and quickly moves back towards the western doors.

Not sure it will work, but why fight them if I don't have to.


As you withdraw, the ghostly hounds charge through the closed door and pounce!

Relieved to see the last ghost mist away, Elek shivers from the cold death like feeling of the wounds. Knowing he needed to find the exit, Elek draws out the second healing wand he'd been using. Alternating, healing himself and looking around, he moves into the eastern catacombs, tapping himself with the wand, while he looks for anything useful.

Will alternate rounds, using the standard action to heal, and the move action to move or search, taking 10 (30/36) on perception. If he doesn't find the exit in the eastern room, he'll research the northern room.

relieved that he was able to open the concealed exit, Elek follows the long sloping tunnel until he finds the concealed door in the north wall. Carefully checking the door for locks and traps he deals with whatever he finds, then, twisting the ring to be invisible, he carefully opens the door.

Evenly spaced torches light this vaulted and irregularly-shaped subterranean chamber. Several doors (including two concealed ones) provide egress from the room in different directions. Standing in front of one set of doors is a Large metal construct. One of its arms looks like a crude version of your prosthetic!

Carefully opening the secret door, Elek see's the large metal construct. Immediatly his eyes are drawn to the things odd prosthetic. Not wanting to see what the arm cannon can do, he whispers to his own prosthetic, "Èliè tiānqì" Calling on the strongest storm he can muster, he spends some of his innate magic tying the storm to the room. Moving forwards invisibly, he tells the cursed prosthetic, "Jīngāng jiàn" As the adamantium blade appears he moves into range of the construct. Becoming visible, he feints with the ghost touched estoc then thrusts the cursed adamantium blade at the constructs hip while striking at the creatures shoulder with the magical blade.

Quickly dismissing the storm, Elek sheaths his estoc as he commands the cursed prosthetic, " Chéngwéi dàpào." As the blade turns to a cannon, he quickly investigates the construct looking for more clues as to how it functions and searching for anything of value.

Interested in what the secret doors hold, he quickly inspects the secret door to the west, once he's sure it's cleared of traps and locks he attempts to open it.

Realizing he'd not made himself invisible, Elek is just able to dodge the readied crossbow shot. Lifting the cannon quickly "Bù réncí, Kuàisù pāishè" firing a quick shot at the nearest crossbowman. As the shooter moves back Elek moves into the room, but is unable to avoid either quarrels as he pursues the shooter. Dazzled and blinded, Elek changes tack, telling the cursed prosthetic, "Chéngwéi sānchā jǐ" as he nears the first shooter. Trusting his ability to fight blind, he feints with the trident, then quickly attacks with it. Thrusting with the estoc as he attacks again with the trident.
