Those are not mutually exclusive, the tengu should have ran... I just figured out that both the stairs go up.

Not feeling comfortable staying in one spot too long, Elek considered whether he should ascend or descend. Moving back the way he came, Elek tucks the healing wand in his pack. Drawing his estoc he moves to the small office where he found the dagger and papers. Taking a deep breath he begins to head up the stairs, moving slow and quietly, keeping a keen eye out as he goes.

Taking 10(32) on stealth and 10(29/35) on perception


Halfway up the spiral staircase, a magical rune triggers, wracking your body with pain.
You have -4 to attack rolls, skill checks, and ability checks for the next hour (Fortitude DC 19 negates).

This lightly-furnished room contains little more than a modest sleeping pallet, a writing desk and chair, and a tin candleholder with a drippy candle stub. Near the foot of the pallet rests a small sea chest filled with various old, worn burlap robes. Light enters from a pair of window slits cut into the curved outer wall.

Feeling the painful spell he triggered pass over him, Elek shuddered, then continued up the stairs. Surprised he realizes that the stairs lead to a small room that doesn't appear to be attached to he rest of the third level.

How long has it been since Iryani cast the see invisibility on him. It doesn't fee like 50 min. but maybe? The map has the ships captain and a smiley face. Does he see them?

When you enter the room, you see two people: a human male with an abnormally-long tongue ... and the evoker.

Knowing his cannon doesn't work so well against the evoker, Elek snaps it up and commanding " Kuàisù pāishè" fires it at the human male. Frowning at the fire he commands the cursed cannon "Chéngwéi sānchā jǐ" As it shifts to the trident, he attempts to move through the flame.

If he's able to pass through it.
Feinting with the trident at her face, he repeatedly thrusts the estoc at her chest, while turning the trident towards her neck.

Knowing he can't afford to get cornered in this tower, Elek quickly moves down the steps and through the small office down stair, keeping an eye out as he goes.

Drawing out the healing wand, Elek starts to move towards the stairs, tapping himself with the wand as he goes. Then again as he moves down the stairs into the room where he had killed the masked woman.

Moving into the familiar room, Elek, frustrated that the tower had not lead to the third level, considers where the othe stairs are at as he continues tapping himself with the wand. Remembering the tower on the northwestern corner of the wall had stairs, he knew they would not lead to the third floor. He also remembered the two sets of stairs in the storage room, wondering if they both lead to the same location. Deciding he needed to make sure nothing would sneak up the stairs behind him, He tapped himself again with the wand, dropping it in his pack and drawing his estoc, before walking into the 'silenced' room.

If he's not attacked immediately, prosthetic is still the trident.
Keeping his back to the northern wall, Elek moves slowly into the 'silenced' room, moving as stealthily as he can as he keeps a keen eye out for anything interesting.

If he makes it across the room uninterupted
Seeing the door on the far side, Elek carefully investigates the door. Once he's sure it's clear, he opens it.

The first room, is two rounds: a move action (walking across the room) and a standard {clw wand) and a standard action, (clw wand) and move action (puting wand away) Moving, drawing estoc as he goes, if he's using stealth and perception, that slows him down to 1/4 speed? so 45 ft at 15 ft a round sound about right? He would take 10(29/35) on perception and take 10(44/50) on disable device if needed.

Along one wall of this elegantly-appointed room, shelves hold a collection of ominous-looking tomes. Near the shelf rests a bed with black silk sheets. A huge red-and-black banner depicting a spiked cross in a circle hangs above the bed. Along the far wall stands a stone masked-shaped font, filled with a dark liquid.

You recognize the banner as that of House Thrune of Cheliax.

'Blasted House Thrune!' Frowning at the flag, Elek, realizes there is no other exit as he'd hoped. Still concerned about getting cornered, quickly heads back the way he came. This time, not worrying about stealth or thorough observation he moves to the northern wall and quickly back to the entryway.

2nd rd if nothing jumps him.
Finding himself outside of the original door he entered, Elek moves towards the double doors towards the west, figuring to make sure nothing is below him when he finally returns to the storage room to begin his assent. Pausing at the door, he quickly checks it for locks or traps. Once he's sure it's clear, he opens it.

He would take 10(29/35) on perception and take 10(44/50) on disable device if needed.


Correct, there's no body.

This large room has a floor of hard-packed earth. Numerous open windows along the walls give the place a drafty feel, while the ceiling above is supported by a network of rafters and wooden beams, all thick with cobwebs.

As you open the door, an unearthly singing fills the air, and three more sea trolls leap forward to attack! You see a translucent (remember, this means she's invisible) figure in a corner of the room. It appears that Lady Isawyn has finally decided to make an appearance.

As the door opens, Elek recognizes the sea trolls, snapping his cursed prosthetic trident up, he commands the prosthetic " Bù réncí, Chéngwéi dàpào, Kuàisù pāishè, Zhuórè chōngjíbō." As the prosthetic changes to the cannon, it fires a searing blast of fire at the nearest troll.

As the fire gouted out of the cursed cannon, he quickly turns it towards the sea troll on the left in a feint, "Now you." But turns the weapon back towards the creature on the right. Telling the cannon, "Yánggōng, Dàn mù." He sends a barrage of flaming bursts towards the nearest troll.

If he drops the first one at any point in time, can the rest of the barrage be aimed at the second, without the sneak attack :)

You down a second troll. As the last one continues to attack, you see (still invisible) Lady Isawyn shift position so she's still shielded by the creature's large body. She then unleashes an operatic shriek powerful enough to shatter glass ... or your eardrums.

Lifting the cursed cannon quickly he commands, "Yánggōng, Dàn mù."" sending a barrage of flaming bursts towards the new attacker.

So this one is the one that should have been wounded, so when ever he falls the rest will be aimed at Lady Isawyn, if any of the attacks hit her, or don't, let me know so I can figure out if I need to change tactics.

Flinching slightly as he see's Peppery Longfarthing, Turning he draws the second healing wand out. As he walks he taps himself with the wand, thinking about Cut-Throat Grok as he moves. When he kills Harrington he will come and free his former shipmates and take them to Port Peril to be healed. Pausing he realizes what kind of shape he will be held in if he fails.

One of your shots misses, and another is absorbed by the creature's defenses. The ones that make it through have their effectiveness reduced but still deal damage. It's still enough to dispatch her, though.

Believing that the fight may have been heard, Elek watches the hallway for a second pondering who may be left. He'd assumed Harrington was hiding here on the third floor. He'd also seen the fellow in the tower with Pirate Captain; she was dead, he was not. He'd killed Lady Isawyn but not Lady Nightshade and there was still the matter of the woman in the mask. Was she dead or alive.

Not comfortable with how wounded he was, Elek retreats down the stairs, sheathing his estoc and drawing the second wand. As he taps himself with the wand as he ponders how to approach the third floor. Remembering there was a door in the small room at the top of the southwestern stairs, he decided that once he was healed, he'd try that door.

Assuming he's uninterrupted while healing
Putting the wand away, Elek draws his estoc again. Heading up the southwestern stairs, he proceeds to the room with the fireplace and carefully inspects the door for locks and traps. Once he's sure it's clear, he opens the door.

This moderately-sized room is furnished with a dresser and some shelves. A huge four-poster bed occupies the southern end of the room, while bookshelves along the walls hold a few dust-covered leather journals, strange coral-encrusted skulls, ships in bottles, nameplates from ships, and other nautical-themed treasures and trophies.

The room is full of people - all armed and ready for battle. Three of the winged archers, Lady Isawyn, and the masked swordswoman. Barnabus Harrigan lies in his bed, seemingly unconcerned with your arrival. "Took yer time gettin' here, ya scurvy blaggard. Thanks for finally returning the ship you stole. If you drop to yer knees and beg for mercy, I'll let you leave here with the clothes on yer back and a rowboat."

Raising an eyebrow as he see's the people in the room. Ignoring Harrington, he quickly lifts the cannon telling it, "Kuàisù pāishè" As he fires the quick shot, he asks. "Didn't I kill you?" Hoping that the illusionist had disguised two people as the women, instead of them coming back to life, he feinted with the estoc, " Yánggōng." Firing the cannon pointblank into the woman's chest while thrusting again with the blade.

You immediately realize that two of the archers are moving in perfect synchronization. One's an illusion! You also notice that Lady Isawyn's singing isn't nearly as tonally perfect as you remember. She's also an illusion!
