The poison courses through Nuvian's blood!
Nuvian sustains 1d6 ⇒ 5 poison damage and is Enfeebled 1 - and will continue to need to make ongoing Fortitude saves (DC 16) at the end of his turns!
The Goblinoid talks "Thief, Hunter, I'll take it all!" to Channary, watching with delight as the poison takes it's horrible toll upon Nuvian "Starting with you, elf!"

Grabbing Nuvian by the neck, she punches at him twice, but he somehow manages to block both mauling fist slams with his shield!
"Why you squirrelly little s#&~!"
Glorzia - though the party has yet to learn her name - ignores the swashbuckler for now - as perhaps that thick Galtan accent passes right through her untrained ear... (Panache @ Mimi)

Grimmylow hits the trail hard, scuttling up the rockface, sending his prayers to his party-mates, that they might smite his foes on his goddesses behalf. Surprising Glorzia, Nuvian shanks her twice (Hit for 11 then 4 piercing(?)), drawing first blood, before succumbing even more terribly to the effects of the tiny dinosaur's poison!

Whenever you Devise a Stratagem, you can also attempt a check to Recall Knowledge as part of that action. If you critically succeed at the Recall Knowledge check, you notice a weakness and gain a +1 circumstance bonus to your attack roll from Devise a Stratagem. If you immediately convey this information to your allies as part of the check, each ally gains a +1 circumstance bonus to their next attack roll against the subject, as long as their attack is made before the beginning of your next turn.

Glorzia is a Bugbear.
Judging from her clothing, you can tell that she usually likes to sneak up on her prey, and as such, is at a disadvantage here, being that both parties became aware of eachother around the same moment. Though brutish, she is also surprisingly spry for a medium-sized muscular creature.
Unable to use her Bushwack ability - you have already seen her Maul Nuvian (bonus damage to grabbed creatures). Higher Fortitude and Reflex than Will. Otherwise, typical goblin traits (darkvision, etc).
You are encouraged to share how Luz came to recall this!

Mary climbs up the last of the cliff and comes face-to-face with the Goblinoid. "Madame, your appearence does not improve with proximité."
Action 1 (◆): Stride with Panache (35 feet)
Mimi looks down at the unconscious form of Nuvian at her feet. Looking back up at her opponent, she says, "So be it. You have chosen your own destinee. En Garde!" With a set of motions too fast for the eye to follow, Mary wields her rapier like a surgeon wields a scalpel and slides the blade past the goblinoid's guard and deep into her chest.

Rapier 1 Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 1 + (6, 4) = 15 piercing/precision damage
Not being certain that her surgical strike was sufficient, Mimi withdraws her rapier and quickly redirects it at the goblinoid's throat.
Action 3 (◆): Strike (Rapier) with MAP & Bless vs Goblinoid.
Rapier 2: 1d20 + 7 - 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 7 - 5 + 1 = 17 vs Goblinoid
Rapier 2 Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 piercing damage
"Et voilà"
If her Action 2 Strike was sufficient to kill the goblinoid, then redirect Action 3 at the poisonous dinosaur.
Nuvian, Going to dying with persistent/affliction damage is a very nasty business and not to be taken lightly. Do not be so quick to use a Hero Point to stabilize because the persistent damage will send you dying again almost immediately. Wait until you are about to go to dying 4. Oh, and make sure to succeed at your fortitude rolls; that will simplify things immensely.

Brutally stabbed twice, bloodied but somehow not fallen, Glorzia screams at Mary:
"I will gut you and use your entrails as bait!"
You still get the sense that while she didn't understand the swashbuckler's words, that her actions were sufficient to communicate.
Glorzia AC is 17

I can't reach him this turn either way, it seems. I'm on my way to you, it will just take a while.
With Nuvian on the floor, Channary rushes over to help with the goblinoid. The ground is littered with loose rocks, but she does what she can. While running uphill, she pulls out a berry from her backpack. She palms it, and whispers something into her hands. "You are the freezing wind of north. Pummel this fool with your might." She stops, breathes in, puts her joint hands to her mouth, and forcefully blows into them. Instantly, a ray of freezing air is released from the other side, moving in the goblinoid's direction.

Finding Babs! (Round Two / Three)
Nuvian's body writhes on the ground, throwing off some of the poison's effects, but still gravely weakened from the small dinosaur's bite.
Nuvian @ Success > Stage Two > Stage One @ 1d6 ⇒ 1 and Enfeebled 1 > Dying 2
Amazingly, Mimi's two stabs (-15 and -5) and Channary's icy blast through Cover (-13) still isn't sufficient to dispatch the mighty bugbear, who yet jeers at her new prey, even as she stumbles about, clearly wounded and on her last leg...
"First the elf, then the human: By the time I'm done, you will both be half-elves!" The joke isn't very good, but perhaps her followup actions deliver the punch line best.

Nuvian!

Zane Gort |

Nuvian wakes up barely in time to avoid having Glorzia's body fall on him as Luz's arrow slams into the bugbear's head.
He grabs his fallen trident and jumps to his feet.
Action 1 (◆): Interact - Take trident in hand
Action 2 (◆): Stand
His eyes then fall on the venomous little creature that was the source of his current woes and he slams his trident home.
Action 3 (◆): Strike (Trident) with Bless and Enfeebled 1 vs Tiny Poisonous Dinosaur.
Trident: 1d20 + 9 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 1 - 1 = 27 vs Tiny Poisonous Dinosaur
Trident Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 piercing damage
All this vigorous activity causes the poison to spread further through his system...
Fortitude (Poison) vs DC 16: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
...but apparently this is sufficient to dissipate the poison's malignancy and Nuvian shakes off the last of its effects.

Mary was trying to concentrate on what she should do next, but the bugbear's iron grip and its attempts to remove her skin the hard way were proving a little distracting. "Madame, I must protest. I am quaite attachéd to my cutis and vould préfère eet to remain een place. Perhaps ve could discuss dees further over a mug of bière."
Fortunately, Luz's well-aimed arrow kills the creature before it can begin in earnest the application of its no-doubt patented skin peel treatment to the swashbuckler. As the big goblin and bad dinosaur go down, Grimmylow is tempted to give them a dose of Sarenrae's cleansing fire. But there's no way to do it without getting his fellow pathfinders or the good dino in it, too.
So, instead, he pulls out his scimitar and approaches Babs. He takes careful aim, which you can tell because his tongue is sticking out, before chopping down at the rope to cut it.
Scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

Not sure what applies here, but I am assuming nature.
Once everyone is safe from harm, Channary slowly walks over to Babs with nice, big, branch of fresh, green leaves, as previously near the enclosure.
Nature: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
She tries to calm her down with a soothing voice. "Good girl. We're here to take you to your herd. Don't worry.", she lets Babs sniff her hand first, and slowly presents the leafy treat, eventually trying to pet the creature as it chows on the offering.
Hope it works.

GM rainzax |

While Luz keeps a lookout...
It appears Glorzia worked alone with her tiny loyal poisonous dinosaur - both of whom are now dead, only leaving behind her bastard sword, 3 javelins, and leather armor.
...Babs is chopped free by Grimmy and calmed down by Channary, the two of whom it now seems the young dinosaur takes turns following back and forth on the party's way back to meet...

Model Tee |

...Xila, when suddenly Babs breaks into a clumsy sprint and jumps at the strange druid, toppling her over in tears of joy!
"How did you find her?" she asks a couple moments after the heartfelt reunion.

![]() |

"Really?!" Grimmylow seems surprised to find someone who'll actually take him up on the offer and is quiet for a few seconds trying to figure out what he's supposed to do, now.
Then he starts a rambling discourse about his goddess.

GM rainzax |

Hillcross Roundup
Xila patiently listens to Grimmy's ramblings while Babs darts back and forth between her, him, and Channary, honking with glee.
Paying the party, she asks if any want to remain behind while she roams the land to collect a few more stray steggos, intending to herd them away from the "poaching territory" she considers this section of the valley. "Because it's unregulated here".
And so, each PC either parts ways with her or helps her on her final task, completing the Hillcross Roundup!
