Mimi is a Gralton swordswoman who speaks with a heavy Galtan (ie. French) accent. Snappy dresser. Charming and outgoing; always knows just the right thing to say.

She is tall for a human female, made taller yet by the heels of her knee-high dark brown boots into which are tucked a pair of supple green leather breeches. At her waist is a black belt secured by a silver buckle engraved with a coat of arms. From the belt hangs a sheath holding a rapier with an ornate silver hilt on one side and a matching main-gauche on the other. Covering her torso is a tight-fitting leather jerkin completely embossed with a swirling floral design and crisscrossed by a couple of bandoliers. Over everything, she wears a calf-length open royal-blue coat with the cuffs and bottom edges intricately embroidered with a floral pattern similar to that found on her jerkin.

A pair of clear green eyes look out at you from an attractive light-skinned and freckled face. A swirling mop of bright red hair frame her features and is in turn covered by a wide-brimmed cavalier hat cocked up on one side and trimmed with a few bright-red feathers.

See Mimi in all her splendor

Background:

Mimi's parents died not long after her birth and left her in the hands of her grandfather, the last member of an old Galtan noble house that had escaped to Gralton during the revolution. Having lost everything along the way, her grandfather was now of more modest means; he was the aging head of a fencing school in Gralton. The girl grew up with her grandfather at the fencing school and was trained by the older swordsmaster in the slashing rapier style of the old Galtan nobility.

Feats:

Fleet
Your Speed increases by 5 feet.

Incredible Initiative
You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to initiative rolls.

Quick Jump
You can use High Jump and Long Jump as a single action instead of 2 actions. If you do, you don’t perform the initial Stride (nor do you fail if you don’t Stride 10 feet).

Bon Mot (◆)
Choose a foe within 30 feet and roll a Diplomacy check against the target's Will DC.
Critical Success The target is distracted and takes a –3 status penalty to Perception and Will saves for 1 minute. The target can end the effect early with a retort to your Bon Mot. This can either be a single action that has the concentrate trait or an appropriate skill action to frame their retort. The GM determines which skill actions qualify, though they must take at least 1 action. Typically, the retort needs to use a linguistic Charisma-based skill action.
Success As critical success, but the penalty is –2.
Critical Failure Your quip is atrocious. You take the same penalty an enemy would take had you succeeded. This ends after 1 minute or if you issue another Bon Mot and succeed.

Dueling Parry (Swashbuckler) (◆)
Requirements You are wielding only a single one-handed melee weapon and have your other hand or hands free.
You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to AC until the start of your next turn as long as you continue to meet the requirements.

Intimidating Glare
You can Demoralize with a mere glare. When you do, Demoralize loses the auditory trait and gains the visual trait, and you don’t take a penalty if the creature doesn’t understand your language.

Tumble Behind (Swashbuckler) (◆)
When you Tumble Through successfully, the foe you Tumbled Through is flat-footed against the next attack you make before the end of your turn.

Toughness
Increase your maximum Hit Points by your level. The DC of recovery checks is equal to 9 + your dying condition value.

Steady Balance
Whenever you roll a success using the Balance action, you get a critical success instead. You’re not flat-footed while attempting to Balance on narrow surfaces and uneven ground. Thanks to your incredible balance, you can attempt an Acrobatics check instead of a Reflex save to Grab an Edge.

Nimble Crawl
You can Crawl incredibly swiftly—up to half your Speed, rather than 5 feet. If you’re a master in Acrobatics, you can Crawl at full Speed, and if you’re legendary, you aren’t flat-footed while prone.

Charmed Life (↺)
Trigger You attempt a saving throw, but you haven't rolled yet.
When danger calls, you have a strange knack for coming out on top. You gain a +2 circumstance bonus to the triggering save.

Clever Improviser
You’ve learned how to handle situations when you’re out of your depth. You gain the Untrained Improvisation general feat. In addition, you can attempt skill actions that normally require you to be trained, even if you are untrained.

Untrained Improvisation (Clever Improviser)
You’ve learned how to handle situations when you’re out of your depth. Your proficiency bonus to untrained skill checks is equal to half your level instead of +0. If you’re 7th level or higher, the bonus increases to your full level instead. This doesn’t allow you to use the skill’s trained actions.

Cat Fall
Treat falls as 10 feet shorter. If you’re an expert in Acrobatics, treat falls as 25 feet shorter. If you’re a master in Acrobatics, treat them as 50 feet shorter. If you’re legendary in Acrobatics, you always land on your feet and don’t take damage, regardless of the distance of the fall.

Abilities:

Wit
You gain panache during an encounter whenever you succeed at a Bon Mot against a foe.

Panache
You gain panache by successfully performing the skill check associated with specific actions that have a bit of flair, including Tumble Through and additional actions determined by your swashbuckler's style. At the GM's discretion, after succeeding at a check to perform a particularly daring action, such as swinging on a chandelier or sliding down a drapery, you also gain panache if your result is high enough (typically the very hard DC for your level, but the GM can choose a different threshold).
While you have panache, you gain a +5-foot status bonus to your Speeds and gain a +1 circumstance bonus to checks to Tumble Through or to take any actions that give you panache due to your style. The precise strike class feature also causes you to deal extra precision damage while you have panache. Powerful finisher actions, including Confident Finisher can be used only while you have panache and cause you to lose your panache.

Precise Strike
When you have panache and you Strike with an agile or finesse, melee weapon or agile or finesse, unarmed attack, you deal 2 additional precision damage. If the Strike is part of a finisher, the additional damage is 2d6 precision damage instead.
As your swashbuckler level increases, so does your additional damage for precise strike. Increase the amount of additional damage on a Strike and the number of additional dice on a finisher by one at 5th, 9th, 13th, and 17th levels.

Confident Finisher (◆)
Make a Strike with a weapon or unarmed attack that would apply your precise strike damage, with the following failure effect.
Failure You deal half your precise strike damage to the target. This damage type is that of the weapon or unarmed attack you used for the Strike.

Opportune Riposte (↺)
Trigger A foe within your reach critically fails a Strike against you.
You take advantage of an opening from your enemy's fumbled attack. You either make a melee Strike against the triggering foe or attempt to Disarm it of the weapon it used for the Strike.

Vivacious Speed +10 feet
Increase the status bonus to your Speeds when you have panache to a +10-foot status bonus; this bonus increases by 5 feet at 7th, 11th, 15th, and 19th levels. When you don't have panache, you still get half this status bonus to your Speed, rounded down to the nearest 5-foot increment.
