You are currently lvl 2. You can visit your monastery/city training hall the next day, and spend the office hours to lvl up, while Robin's friends dig up the location mr McFargus will be at the day after.

Which still leaves enough time to pick up a repaired weapon and find the 3rd dwarf, of course.

No. You merely spend 1 working day with instructors, learning the new skills of the trade in your class. Instead of knowing things out of the blue, like we do on Golarion. It's a source mechanic, mentioned in the lower section in the players' guide.

They are funded, your only expense is attention to their lessons.

The same went for the specialization points. Each skill has a specialist of expertise, expert/master/grandmaster, somewhere in the lands.

They are pretty! Is the dark-haired woman with the bird Severa? I am fine with using that as a battle map token but would just note Severa's arcane bond is an item not a familiar. That doesn't mean the art has to be changed or anything. Just making sure I don't give an inaccurate impression to my new party companions.

I do apologize. As stated before, life has taken a turn for the...busy. Everything that is not related to work and kids has fallen off. I am not active enough here, and that is on me. While this is a great group, to include a great GM, I do understand if it is time to replace Brunhild with someone who can give this the attention it deserves.

The IT Con was good. Lots of fun, and it was cool to meet some people in person that I just knew online.

There are several players in the IT Community, but this was more of a business-centered conference, so no one was actually playing while there. We did a game a few years ago, but I don't think that the girl who DMed for us was here this year. It would be fun to get something like that going again though.

I'm still new here, but is there some reason why Astella and Danielle are not sharing with the rest of the group what they've figured out, or why Astella is only discussing it with Lady G privately? Is it an rp choice because Strom has not earned the groups trust? Is this information something that needs to be kept quiet? I'm finding it a little more difficult than usual to crack into the flow of the game.

Severa is happy to engage with the group but first she has to find you! And then she has to evaluate you and decide whether or not she's actually allied with you. So there are some in-character hurdles to overcome. Maybe I should have written a simpler character who was just a bold adventurer looking for a chance to prove herself! XD

Thank you for understanding. And again, I really do apologize for this. I hope that when everything calms down in life I can go back to my previous levels of posting. But until then...I believe that it makes the most sense for Brunhild to return to her order. Since meeting the group, I would say that she had grown as a person, and after returning home she made inroads with her familial relations. It makes the most sense for her to break away now to pursue her life, rather than to leave home again to build a new one. I'll try to get a parting post up before the group leaves the city.

Normally Astella will tell the group whatever she learns as well, but in this case because it is Lady Greenbriar's son, she doesn't want to start rumors and embarrass her... she just wants her to know, and solve the problem. That's why she didn't blurt it out to everyone.

A question unrelated to our game.

For something homebrew in the future, would some of you like to help me improve a new system through feedback after running a short test module?
It is not a d20 sort of game.

It would be a thing with 3 combats, and fairly straightforward in mechanics. It's based on a 4 member party, so if short on players, someone could run an npc partymember.

If so, i'll provide character creation specifics.

Some details about the setup for the test scenario:

Setting:

A small fictional remote city in eastern Europe.
A science convention is hosted, and people from NATO member countries attend. The convention covers many fields. PCs can be from any NATO member country, and speak English aside from their native language, this being internationally oriented.

The PCs can be either residents of the city, who are working to keep the convention going, staff accompanying attendees, or other parties who have some personal interest in it (professionally or otherwise). Yet all have some degree of combat experience.

It will all take place within a single building.

Classes/occupations & proficiencies:

Law enforcement.
-Proficiencies: Melee weapons, pistols, throwing weapons, unarmed.
Light & medium weight armor. They start with a pistol and a baton. Starting health is 120 HP, starting luck is 10%, 75% ranged accuracy.

Combat medic.
-Proficiencies: Melee weapons, pistols, throwing weapons, unarmed.
Light & Medium weight armor. Healing items applied by a medic, heal an additional 15% HP. They start with a pistol.
Starting health is 100 HP, starting luck is 12%, 65% ranged accuracy.

Expert. (Engineer or Technician)
-Proficiencies: Melee weapons, pistols, unarmed.
Light armor.
--Engineers can attempt repairs or bypass mechanical obstacles.
Engineers start a heavy wrench (can be wielded as a melee weapon) and a tool belt. A tool belt can be used for 3 tasks, new tools must be found afterwards.
--Technicians can attempt to tinker with/or bypass electrical obstacles.
Technicians start with a baton and a tech tool kit. A kit can be used for 3 tasks. They can deal 2 electrical damage with 'modified' tasers.
Starting health is 90 HP, starting luck is 10% and 60% ranged accuracy.

Investigative reporter.
-Proficiencies: Melee weapons, pistols, unarmed.
Unarmored. They gain a passive 8% chance to avoid getting hit by a targeted ranged attack. An investigative reporter may try to pick a lock. They know an additional language.
They start with a pistol and a set of lock picks. A set can be used for 3 tasks.
Starting health is 80 HP, starting luck is 14%, 60% ranged accuracy.

Combat

- Melee attacks automatically hit.

- Ranged attacks hit on a result of 1-X, with X being your accuracy %.
Ranged attacks suffer -15% accuracy if another combatant stands between you and the target.

When you make a ranged attack, roll 2d100. The 1st to hit, the 2nd is for the luck %. On a result of 1-X, where X is your luck %, you deal additional damage, based on your equipped weapon.

When you are attacked, roll a d100. On a result of 1-X, where X is your counter %, you can 'return the favor', by making a retaliation attack, if your equipped weapon allows it. (ranged vs ranged, but not melee vs ranged)

If a PC is hit in combat, an amount of times equal to their calmness, they spend a turn 'enraged'. During that turn, they focus solely on the target that caused the trigger, caution and tactics be damned.

Reloading your weapon:
You can spend your standard action to reload, and move your full 4 squares that round, or reload by spending 2 squares of movement.

Debuffs

Unless immune, a status debuff is applied when a combatant (you or an opponent) is the recipent of an effect that causes it. Debuffs last 3 rounds, with damage debuffs dealing 15, 10, 5, over three rounds.

Debuffs: Bleeding, Burning, Enraged (-15% ranged accuracy, +5 on damage), Poisoned, Stunned.

Stats

- Health: speaks for itself.
- Accuracy: the % with which you effectively land ranged attacks.
- Calmness: the amount of attacks before a PC becomes enraged for 1 turn. The default amount is 5 for any PC.
- Counter: the % chance that you can make a retaliation attack, upon getting hit. When you get hit, roll a d100. On a result of 1-X, where X is your % of counter, you make a retaliation strike. Default is 8% for all PCs.
- Luck: The % that triggers a critical hit on your attack rolls.
- Movement: all PCs can move 4 squares in a turn. This can be before, after, or devided between the two, in combination with an attack.
For example: you move 2 squares into melee, strike, then move 2 squares away again.

Level increase
Upon reaching a new level, you get 5 stat points, to spend on increasing your stats, in any combination.

@ Strom, the battlemap is found on the link Misc info slides, #12. It has edit rights, so hitting that slide will give a popup that also has the option: edit.

I am guessing Sage will try to flank Copperneck with Daniel.
