Nat 20s are always nice.
I'm rather more surprised random crossbow bolts fired off in the monastery didn't surprise you.
Astella
I started working on the loot sheet mess so we could sell and see how much money we can distribute. Haven't finished, but there are a lot of things with question marks, and also some things that I thought someone took but that aren't claimed (like the tricorne captain's hat).
Moved the sold stuff to the bottom and marked it in red, moved items we have a price for to the top, moved claimed items down... hopefully it makes a little bit more sense now.
Take a look and see if you want something that is there.
Once everyone takes a look, we can sell and distribute for this shopping trip.

Strange. It seems the site ate my post for this pbp? anyway, i've been on a three day impromptu vacation. I'll be back tomorrow and then I can resume posting.
Estelle of Hamel
All right, I'm back.
I took a look at the loot sheet too. I think everyone we found after leaving the town to this place still has to be added, correct? Or does the gold in the topright corner include these finds or such?
I can try adding it sometime tomorrow when I have a moment.
Astella
I removed things that I consolidated, but they should still be on the sheet, and anything that was just pure gold I put in the gold total... but you're probably right that it isn't up to date with regard to this trip, so feel free.
Then we can sell and determine what we each have to spend.
Estelle of Hamel
I think the gold on the sheet might nog have taken our previous share into account, as in that the gold we had after completing the castle foray was taken by us but not removed on the sheet. Or does anyone disagree/remember differently?
Estelle of Hamel
Okay, went back and checked a few things on loot. the found loot should be up to date. I do not know, however, which numbers are added in the current gold worth total in the topright corner, and I didn't add the new treasure to this yet. Astella, what did you add to this number? Is it just the total of what we could sell now or does it include treasure? If you added something, do you remember what the number was previously?
From my notes, the last time we shared loot between the four of us was prior to arriving in the town of Welnin. We roughly had 616 gold each then with the then suggested sells. However, I don't remember if the number was cleared to 0 on the loot sheet when we did.
It is true however that we never decided what we'd do with most of the goblin salvage, so if we sold all that for gold instead of handing it to the town guard for better equipment on their end, we'd get a lot of gold to spend now. As it stands, the total sell value of all unclaimed non-consumable items today, on 09-05-22, currently is 1266 gold. Or 316 g each if we decided to do that.

Btw, consider that masterwork weapon that was marked as unidentified, to be known as masterwork.
Astella
If you really want to do the research, just go into the sheet and choose File-->Version History, and you can see every change ever made to the sheet.
There are still things that I didn't look up prices for, and several things that we have no idea about as well.
Estelle of Hamel
All right. Thanks, didn't know that. Looking back it seems it used to be 1468 g, which is the value it was before coming to Welnin.
So, we have 1964-1468 = 494 g, in addition to the 1266 g worth of selling stuff.
That's 1760 g total or 440 g each to buy things with atm. In addition to whatever everyone had beforehand. Estelle had 263 g so she could just barely afford a masterwork composite longbow with +3 str rating, or go for 2 melee weapons using special materials.
Anyone have an advice? I feel brunhild and Astella do good ranged damage but if we run into wights again, Estelle can only really use her luck ability on either to help out. Unless she buys a better bow.
Daniel Cedric
sorry, still no internet. that brings Daniel too 1011gp, since I haven't bought much of anything. I'll probably pick up a buckler, since in a couple levels a heavy shield will be more of a detriment than a boon. Since I'll be picking up unhindering shield most likely. I think I will just get a few of the items that increase a javelin to 50ft range, I forget the name of them. Starts with an A. And a Cold-iron morning star, for coverage.

Just posting to say that I’m here. I’m thinking of what I want to do for Brunhild going home. It’s a big event for her so I want to make sure it feels right. Should have it up in a day or two

Aye, ah'm brewing things up on mah own part as well.

I've been a bit slammed with work atm, i'll tey resuming posting tonight. Though her next action would be to inquire about the sidequests posted on the message boards.
GM Chyro
Yes, you're at the door of Lady Greenbriar's residence.
No sweat, work comes first.
Estelle of Hamel
Hey everyone,
Prtly said earlier, I have a brutal work deadline to meet by the end of the week in preparation for my vacation. I haven't had much energy or time to post this week as a reult. I probably won't be posting much until sunday or such assuming I take the saturday off. Apologies for the inconvenience and please bot me if needed.

I’m here, and have been loving the RP. Been somewhat absent these days as work and kids together has taken up all time (generally work until midnight) and my gaming time has fallen to the wayside. I’ll get a post up soon, but I’m good on rejoining the party.
GM Chyro
It's perhaps a good idea to mention that I know from a different campaign that Grumbaki, as Brunhild, is currently at a hospital concerning a health issue of his/her wife. As such they might be slower in reacting.
Take your time. Best of health wishes for your spouse.

I think that there is some confusion. My wife is fine. I've just been slammed with baby duty, appointments for other kids and new team at work leading to increase at work. Put together has just meant that time is under intense crunch. But still, I appreciate the thoughts and will be trying to make time to do this excellent campaign justice.

If a Knowledge spoiler has the / in between, i use it as an 'or'.
I might be overthinking it, but maybe putting a ' / name' on the spoiler tag gave off the wrong impression of it.
Astella
Oh, yeah... I thought it was only for Brunhild.

@Grumbaki sorry, I mixed you up with Hawthile earlier. In my mind you'd somehow become the same poster. Must be the high quality and such! :)
@gm I seem to recall reading the dwarven lady said she was with a friend. Did the friend leave before the attack? The smithing thing was my bad.
GM Chyro
Estelle, you're near right.
Lady Greenbriar came back from visiting a friend, but walked home alone.
GM Chyro
I hope Daniel's net issues get solved soon. Last post here was May 9th. :/

My system has plunged into bsod limbo. I can't get us more detailed combat maps until it is fixed. :(
I'll have to resort to tables until then, and hope it hasn't outright died on me.
GM Chyro
I hadn't started my PC for a very long time, as i use my laptop as my main (and portable) device.
The main device with most of my used files, and the neat mapping tool.
I'll have to use tables for now, and will be looking for a new one in the mean time.
Daniel Cedric
Will be on vacation the next several days, so I may not be able to post.
GM Chyro
"Since someone said earlier that there was no other way out, Astella thinks they have to come down sometime."
There was mention of a secret hatch to the roof. But roofs are often tricky to navigate.
Estelle of Hamel
Apologies for radio silence. These last two weeks especially i've been busy with important private matters that have taken a lot of energy and time out of my schedule. Please bot Estelle when needed. I'm not sure when this will all finally be over. Until then I will be a lot less active on the site across the board/all campaigns.
Estelle of Hamel
Hey everyone,
After thinking things over I'm just going through with it and withdrawing from the campaign. There's a few reasons, mostly that I'm in too many PBP's, and between the major health problems my wife and son have been dealing with the last year especially I don't have the bandwith left to write as much as I used to. I guess for me this PBP has also felt awkward since the argument with Zanbabe/Astella earlier on, and I'm sure she at least won't miss me :) Perhaps it's best to grab some fresh blood so that there can be a new start with someone else.
Chryone, thanks for running this. It was very well organized and extremely realistic compared to most campaigns. Kudo's for that.
Kind regards and perhaps I will see some of you around.
Astella
On the contrary, I think things have settled down a lot since then, and I am definitely not glad that you are leaving. I'm sorry that I made things uncomfortable for you. I hope things go well for you and your family.
Brunhild Blackarrow
Really sorry to see you go. It saddens me. But I wish the best for you and yours.
Daniel Cedric
Hate to see you go, I wish you and your family the best.
GM Chyro
Sorry to see you having to leave, Estelle. But you take care of yourself and family first and foremost. Thank you for playing at the table.
If ever you want to make a guest appearance for a dungeon crawl in the campaign, you know where we are. :)
These things happen, so i'll ask the remaining three management of Welnin.
Are there preferences to the role a new applicant would fulfill?
Estelle was the party cleric, but i've played a campaign where we ran on wands, consumables, and the limited healing of a bard and inquisitor.
Astella
I'm good with people playing what they want to play, and someone with a good story... we can always tweak the story to match or buy some wands if we need to.
That said though, might be nicer for Daniel if he wasn't the only frontliner.

Ah, thanks for the support everyone. It's making me feel even worse about all this:') And happy to hear that, Astella.
@Chryone Thanks for the open invitation. I think for now I have to take a few steps back and drop out of a few campaigns at least to make some more time for the family and related matters. If things settle down, which might be in about six or seven weeks depending on how things go, I might take you up on it. Until then, have fun at least, everyone.

Daniel spits out a tooth and tries to wink his swollen black eye.
"Don't worry, I can do this all day"
I don't have a particular preference. Divine magic would be nice, but so would a full arcane caster. I guess if I *had* to give a preference, it would be either full arcane might, or divine magic, be it 9th level casting like a cleric or druid, or a "gish" sort in the form of a warpriest or the like.

I say that a character that someone enjoys is always the best choice. Sometimes people try to fill a slot for the party and it makes dropout rates rise.
