I think everything we got is on the loot log... at least I hope. I can't guarantee I remembered to put everything there.

F Human Fighter 1/Cleric 1 (herald caller). Hp 21/21. AC 18 FF 17 T 11. Saves: F +5, R+1, W+4. Att: +4 vs AC, 1d10+7 (PA)/19-20x2, Reach 10 ft, 2 AoO/turn. Perc. +7. Channel (1d6) 4/4 left, BoL 5/5 left. Conditions: None.

It's probably fine? Assuming the 650-ish gold from the clothes we found earlier is factored into the gold pile I don't think there's a anything major it misses. Estelle's masterwork spear is a thing but I added that to my sheet.

That aside, posting this in all my PBP's: From tomorrow to this friday I'll be attending a congres. That means I probably won't be able to post for three days, from wednesday the 3rd to the evening of friday the fifth. I'll have my phone of course, but posting is probably limited to very short messages and the discussion thread if I even have the opportunity.

See you when I get back!

I don't remember a big 650 gold amount... they were all smaller bits, but if it was already on the sheet, it got factored in.

I guess we still have to sell them then, as the 12 outfits worth 50 g each are still on the loot sheet? I dpnt recall anyone of us ever selling them when we got back from the ship (was agreed on to sell but no one added the gold to the loot sheet), and i dont think anyone ever bought something with that gold. But we should remove 75 g for estelle's CLW wand, which is down to 2 charges, as I forgot to take out of the funds. Could take the healing wand entirely out of my cut instead I suppose.

I'll just add the 250 to my gold amount.

F Human Fighter 1/Cleric 1 (herald caller). Hp 21/21. AC 18 FF 17 T 11. Saves: F +5, R+1, W+4. Att: +4 vs AC, 1d10+7 (PA)/19-20x2, Reach 10 ft, 2 AoO/turn. Perc. +7. Channel (1d6) 4/4 left, BoL 5/5 left. Conditions: None.

Adding the gold from the sold clothing to the loot sheet now with a note that it was sold, we have 1468 gold before splitting. That is excluding the 250 g each reward for the dragon.

That's 367 g each, or 617 g each with the reward factored in before we head off to Harmondale. I removed 20 g from myself earlier under assumption cost for a lesser healing wand would be split, but if it isn't that would leave Estelle with 562 instead.

Walking through the loot list for some standout things: I think someone claimed the +1 chain shirt on it (Astella?)? I think that was from Sal Sharktooth. There's also an (unclaimed?) masterwork reinforced tunic worth a bit of money if no one needs it. And an unclaimed ornate masterwork dagger from the moon temple.

I thought we sold the +1 chain shirt, which is why Daniel was in breatplate.

Ah, that could be the case too. I'll remove it from the loot sheet, then.

Anyone have some ideas for useful low level scrolls to bring with us?

Already have one of magic weapon. Could buy one of remove fear and obscuring mist too for emergencies?

Personally I'd rather not spend group money on non-healing items (and we should use our plethora of red potions before investing more in healing items). If we find some scrolls, great if we keep them for use, but I don't want to buy things for obscure emergencies.

I wasn't suggestion using group money to buy scrolls. I'll do that on my own to have a couple in case of emergencies since I just like to be prepared. Though I would appreciate some advice if anyone has some on what some good low level scrolls would be to have on hand. Maybe I'll do just obscuring mist and protection from evil once for now. Both can save lives and I've seen obscuring mist completely win level 11+ encounters if enemies can't see through fog.

So, just some Qs about our overseeing of our new holdings.

the main one- We are technically -not- a part of either empire atm? And we would not pay "taxes" to either in this case? Which would have us form a "buffer state" between the two, or in this case, buffer hedgerow.

or, we are "technically" not part of either empire, however we pay taxes to, and may receive aid from, Erathia. Which would have us largely act as a vassal state of Erathia, being that we are fairly autonomous, but still "bow" to the crown as it were.

Loot sheet No plunder, no pay Battle map--Misc info slides

*takes out the chalk and blackboard*

Main answer:
Indeed. Geographically, the contested lands are part of neither.
I imagine Welnin would pay taxes to whomever had control, as far as could be done.

With Lord Markham transferring management over to you, Erathia's governing influence stops. Your contested lands are no vassal state of either, but neither are you getting aid from them, due to that.

alright, so we are pretty much entirely autonomous at this point. And entirely on our own. More or less.

Entirely on your own...

But, that's where adventuring comes in.
I'll get the details (see overview) sorted over the coming couple of days.

For now, you've completed emerald Isle and arrived at your new lands. :)

Made a small edit to my last post as I didn't think/know Daniel was with me, or Estelle wouldn't have just left him behind. I'll play it like the grouchy armorer disliked her and that she left to better his chances.

Fair enough :) Setting up future relations is important! Even if building an entire main building in the town is roughly on the same gold cost as said full plate, haha.

Also, now that we're on the last post, when does Daniel make that remark to Tobias and Tweed? Is that indeded before or after Estelle leaves; as in, is she there to hear it?

What i meant by my previous post, to clarify, i think brunhild said orcs by mistake but i kinda picture these 'goblins' as de facto orcs as well whenever i think of them.

In fairness, for people who likely have never seen an Orc or Goblin, it’s feasible that they’d get confused. (IC explanation for OOC mistake)

Does the town have potions for sell, and if so, what is available? I'm guessing only 1st level, and I'd be looking for a potion of enlarge or long-arm mainly. Come to think of it, getting a masterwork longsword might be useful, would that be something I could get in a day? (It'd be reforging his mothers blade RP wise)

Loot sheet No plunder, no pay Battle map--Misc info slides

The alchemist does have potions, but only level 1 (and CL 1) for now, current facilities provided.

The smith is busy with Estelle's mwk weapon, for most of the remaining working day.

If scrolls are available in the town and Estelle didn't buy them yet (I didn't definitively say I did back on the island), Estelle would buy a scroll of obscuring mist, one of bless and one of protection from evil.

Leaves her with 253 gold after commissioning the masterwork bardiche, and the cure light wounds wand with two remaining charges.

Daniel, i noticed you have Fey Foundling on your sheet.
But you grew up in a normal family, those two don't match, in that case.

Could you replace it for something more fitting, please.

Since i rolled for the chance of the oddities shop for Estelle, no more than fair to roll for the specific potions to be there right now.

Enlarge Person: 1d100 ⇒ 68
Long arm: 1d100 ⇒ 59
Both happen to have been present for purchase.

you are right, that was a hold over from when I was first tinkering. I don't think I've ever made use of it so despite never removing it, I did in my mind haha. He would purchase the long arm potion.

By the way, Daniel, since we're on the sheet subject, sorry to ask about this again, but I noticed your seemingly now in-use stat array also seems a bit high? If the profile is correct, your ability score array seems to be 14, 15, 12, 12, 8, 13 - excluding the human +2/+2 on str/cha. That seems to be a 17 point buy for a 15 pt game? Or am I missing something? Are you using a third set of ability scores as the mythweaver one was higher and presumably from the tinkering phase as mentioned before?

I mean, I guess it's not impacting play much as the excess points are in Daniel's Dex, but for the sake of fairness between party members I wanted to point it out.

Sure, no problem!

On the current conversation between Astella and the goblins, I'm starting to get Monthy Python and the search for the holy grail flashbacks. Must be the Goblins at their elevated position in conjunction with catapult reminders and the insults :) I'm now reading the goblins here with French accents.

Hehe.

I did mention the goblins are different from Golarion goblins.
Add confusion, species can vary per continent, as well.

So... let me get this straight. Somehow, this turned from a full on frontal assault, in which we already presumably killed one of them, into asking if they're for hire to learn to speak proper Goblin later.

I, um, don't know what to say. Very creative, and makes for an amusing anecdote at the very least? :') Perhaps we shouldn't share this with the village though, haha.
