Not according to the Knightly Orders of Ansalon. Which orders are you looking at reaching by the end of the campaign?

Knight of the Rose as per his Lord Knight Master though the other orders are fine too.

Else I actually of rising through the ranks too. Crown>Sword>Rose.

I have got to read the books though. I only read briefly the campaign setting. Was there changes in the Classes?

Yeah, you have to rise through the ranks. Order of the Rose is the highest and purest (most LG and restricted) order.

You start off as a squire go to Crown, Sword, Rose, or can stay in one order. You dont need the PRC to go through the Orders but need the qualifications per Knightly Orders of Ansalon.

Sovereign Court

So up the ranks I go!

Shoot, I tried to post a link with info about the Knights.

Sovereign Court

I have the books Goblin.

I just needed to do a little exploration in my shelves and boxes.

A little yellow but still readable. Thank you.

Dark Archive

If you want to go cleric Ironperenti, I said it earlier but will again I am open to do anything and would like you to play what makes you happy. With this group I could go with some sort of buff/debuff support or a wildcard shaman build for a little of everything. Heck, I could make a somebody's riding animal or animal companion with a eidolon build.

I will stick with the ranger. You guys can whip up your space shuttle door gunner/swashbuckling pixie summoners. I am too vanilla to make that stuff. ;)

Hopefully we can keep the Dragonlance feel though.

I was just offering to fill a gap. If you have a gap that needs filling, I'll be happy to take a look at it. If you feel your group is complete I wish you good luck.

I do want to keep the classic Dragonlance feel.

I think that I am missing some newer applicant backgrounds, correct?

Sovereign Court

I think it's tradition that Dragonlance groups are big lol.

4 man party just isn't enough.

:)

Larger groups usually allow for more interplay between characters and a more active thread!

And if someone has to drop, it does not end a game.

100%

Goblin, how many completed applications do we have?

The list is the same Shalafi. Unless Ironperenti sent you a completed submission.

I did not, please do not wait on me. Enjoy your game all.

Has everyone decided on the character that they want to play?

I think so. I am doing the Ranger 1st choice.

I think we are just waiting on you decision Shalafi.

Who is still here with interest? Can we get a roll call!?

I have not problem accepting everyone with completed submissions but I know that some had one or more. I just need to know who is going to play who.

Sovereign Court

One Human Dragoon KoS wannabe Elf Friend here.

I'll just stick the inquisitor concept.

Dark Archive

We will stick with the healer

Hooray!
Where is the wizard?

Khyber stands ready.

”Are we actually going to get rolling? Or are you just a Campaign Tease?”

;)

Grand Lodge

I completely forgot I submitted for this. Fixing my character and I’ll be ready.

Grand Lodge

And without furthur ado, here he is. Where is the recruitment thread Goblin? And thank you for reminding me!

SPECIAL ABILITIES
=================================================
Alchemical Adept You are skilled in creating alchemical items. You gain a +2 trait bonus on all Craft (alchemy) checks made to craft alchemical items. Furthermore, when you fail a Craft (alchemy) check by 5 or more but don't roll a natural 1, you don't ruin any raw materials or have to pay that cost again.

Alchemy (Su) When using Craft (Alchemy) to create an alchemical item, you gains a +1 competence bonus on the Craft (alchemy) check. In addition, you can use Craft (Alchemy) to identify potions as if using Detect Magic. He must hold the potion for 1 round to make such a check.

Bomb (Su) You can use 5 bombs each day. Bombs are considered weapons and can be selected using feats such as Point-Blank Shot and Weapon Focus. On a direct hit, your bomb inflicts 1d6+4 points of fire damage. Your bombs also inflict an additional 0d6 points of fire damage that is not multiplied on a critical hit or by using feats such as Vital Strike. Splash damage from an your bomb is always equal to the bomb's minimum damage (5). Those caught in the splash damage can attempt a DC 14 Reflex save for half damage.

Brew Potion (Ex) You receive Brew Potion as a bonus feat. You can brew potions of any formulae you know (up to 3rd level), using your alchemist level as caster level. The spell must be one that can be made into a potion. You do not need to meet the prerequisites for this feat.

Elven Immunities (Ex) Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and get a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.

Elven Magic (Ex) Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance. In addition, elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft skill checks made to identify the properties of magic items.

Formulae An alchemist may know any number of formulae. He stores his formulae in a special tome called a formula book. He must refer to this book whenever he prepares an extract but not when he consumes it. An alchemist begins play with two 1st-level formulae of his choice, plus a number of additional forumlae equal to his Intelligence modifier. At each new alchemist level, he gains one new formula of any level that he can create. An alchemist can also add formulae to his book just like a wizard adds spells to his spellbook, using the same costs, pages, and time requirements. An alchemist can study a wizard's spellbook to learn any formula that is equivalent to a spell the spellbook contains. A wizard, however, cannot learn spells from a formula book. An alchemist does not need to decipher arcane writings before copying them.

Keen Senses (Ex) Elves receive a +2 bonus on Perception skill checks.

Low-Light Vision (Ex) You can see x2 as far as humans in low illumination. Characters with low-light vision have eyes that are so sensitive to light that they can see twice as far as normal in dim light. Low-Light Vision is color vision. A spellcaster with low-light vision can read a scroll as long as even the tiniest candle flame is next to her as a source of light. Characters with low-light vision can see outdoors on a moonlit night as well as they can during the day.

Merchant You lived your life as a merchant, buying and selling goods. You gain a +1 trait bonus on any Appraise and Sense Motive checks you attempt while bargaining for the price of goods. Appraise is always a class skill for you.

Mutagen (Su) You know how to create a mutagen that you can imbibe in order to heighten your physical prowess at the cost of your personality. It takes 1 hour to brew a dose of mutagen, and once brewed, it remains potent until used. You can only maintain one dose of mutagen at a time - if you brews a second dose, any existing mutagen becomes inert. A mutagen that is not in your possession becomes inert until an alchemist picks it up again. When you brew a mutagen, you select one physical ability score - either Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. It's a standard action to drink a mutagen. Upon being imbibed, the mutagen causes you to grow bulkier and more bestial, granting you a +2 natural armor bonus and a +4 alchemical bonus to the selected ability score for 10 minutes. In addition, while the mutagen is in effect, you take a -2 penalty to one of your mental ability scores. If the mutagen enhances your Strength, it applies a penalty to your Intelligence. If it enhances your Dexterity, it applies a penalty to your Wisdom. If it enhances your Constitution, it applies a penalty to your Charisma. A non-alchemist who drinks a mutagen must make a DC 14 Fortitude save or become nauseated for 1 hour - a non-alchemist can never gain the benefit of a mutagen, but an alchemist can gain the effects of another alchemist's mutagen if he drinks it. (Although if the other alchemist creates a different mutagen, the effects of the "stolen" mutagen immediately cease.) The effects of a mutagen do not stack. Whenever an alchemist drinks a mutagen, the effects of any previous mutagen immediately end.

Mutagen (Prime Stat Selection)

Mutagen (Second Stat Selection)

Mutagen (Third Stat Selection)

Throw Anything (Ex) You gain the Throw Anything feat as a bonus feat. You add your Intelligence modifier to damage done with splash weapons, including the splash damage if any. This bonus damage is already included in the bomb class feature.

Weapon Familiarity (Ex) Elves are proficient with longbows (including composite longbows), longswords, rapiers, and shortbows (including composite shortbows), and treat any weapon with the word "elven" in its name as a martial weapon.

Background: House Lebeda had been quite grateful when a little bundle of joy ended up on their doorstep. This one just happened to have pointed ears. Almost 150 years ago Thaleles Darkshine arrived. Showing great promise in the art of potion brewing, he was immediately sent off to the University in Bravoy to achieve his training. His quick pickup of the bow made him highly adept at target practice.

Upon returning home, he worked diligently to pick up a new trade, knowing that while magic was powerful and dangerous, it wouldn't due for earning to much coin. So he worked with the House to develop his Merchant skills, always trying to become better at everything he did.

One day his great -nephew came to him and asked how happy he was. After being stuck in the same place and watching most of his human family pass on already, he stated that he was ready to leave the nest. This made his Nephew very happy to hear as the King was looking for adventurers to set out and discover everything there was to see in the Stolen Lands. Being the highly trained Wizard, and pretty good Merchant Thaleles was, he could think of no one better. So Thaleles set off at once to see what adventures would hold for him.

A wizard opens his tome to begin a new chapter.

Teaching face to face and online has been more draining than I thought it was going to be., I come out on the weekdays, eat and go to bed.

Ha ha. That'll take some time to get used too.

It is a mess. The kids don't have to commit to either modality.

Dark Archive

Give me a private message when the game starts so I don't miss it.

I am just waiting for players to put their entries in the Discussion Thread so that I know who is playing what, since there were some players with a few submissions.

Hi All,
We are in need of a player or two for this DL game. So far we have an elven ranger, elven wizard, elven oracle and a human fighter. Now might be a good time to join if intersted.

Will have to spend some time reviewing DL material for a background. Not a setting I'm very familiar with. I know it tends to be higher fantasy and has more annoying versions of gnomes than the older settings . . ..

Looks like you're missing a sneaky git (regardless of class or build specifics). Have to see what I might come up with.

Sounds good!

Okay . . .. As you are in Crossing, simplicity says I should go with a Qualinesti elf.

Not finding anywhere near as much material as I had hoped, which has slowed me down more than I expected.

Would the party prefer a THIEF, or a treasure recovery specialist in mindset and attitude? The difference does come with mechanical build variances.

That would be an interesting addition. They are kind of lacking in that deoarment right now.

I was kinda hoping for player input . . ..

hustonj wrote:

That was kind of rude.

Trying to reinforce the idea that "Would the party prefer" was a question I was hoping to have the players answer is rude?

Okay, guess I know enough about this game, then . . ..

I'm sorry I was trying to work with the existing players.

Discounting what the DM said with the ...after was rude.

As the sole Human.
I'm the Solamnic Knight hopeful and the only skills I have with locked chests and doors is pounding on them till it breaks.

With traps, I have the most direct methods. I activate them and hope to survive.
So as You can see, a far more efficient (Safer) way of handling such matters would be much appreciated.

I would love skills seeing as Skills is something I a large deficiency in.
Taking hits and giving them back is currently my skillset.
Not much I know but I'm an avid scholar of the ground.

Do you still need another player or not so much?

We do!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

We Do We DO!

There's only so much traps I can disable.......my body is feeling the effects.
