Ya that would work.

@Shalafi2412: If you would prefer, I have a similar ranged warpriest build I could do instead, if you want to have a legitimate divine caster. I kind of thought that the inquisitor build would work better, due to it being less God focused, but a warpriest imbued with divine purpose by the gods to help restore the elves to their homeland could work too.

@Khyber Elessedil: How can you afford a +2 str composite longbow? Did I miss an increase to our starting gold? Because if we can get one, I totally want one too.

What type of character are we still looking for here? I could do wizard, cleric, monk, rogue, anything really. Just am looking to play

Cleric would be awesome if you would like to play one Anatoli.

I didn’t know what starting cash we had or if crafting was available, etc. I assume we are starting at level 1 so if we are I will have to change that.

We are starting at 1st lvl.

Gaelden Kagonesti Swashbuckler (trapfinding, melee)

Khyber Kagonesti Ranger (ranged)

Pellarin Silvanesti Inquisitor (divine, ranged)

And that is where we stand right now at completed characters. What's awesome here is that everyone has stealth trained so far. That is rare, but very useful, as it opens up tactics for the party that most groups can't make use of.

-----

Also, in looking through my build, I've planned Gaelden out so that he becomes more and more 'anti-magic' as he levels up. At lvl 9 he will be able to cast See Invisibility (required for fighting spellcasters) and at lvl 13 gets Dispel Magic. Plus, at lvl 15, he can try to stop enemy casters from teleporting/summoning. While those levels are rare to get to, I like the idea of planning things out far enough for him to do what he is meant to do.

Ok here is my life oracle herbalist healer. I wanted to squeeze in lorekeeper but they both change skills so no dice grrr

And that would certainly add healing / party face.

Kiri-Jolith or Habbakuk would probably make the most sense, but as there is now a oracle application, I'm fine with just sticking with the inquisitor build. Ultimately, it's more about what fits the best thematically in the game.

Is the potential knight still with us?

First day back to school in preparation for student return next week. I do not have a computer in my room with a functioning camera so go figure, lol/

I don’t know how you would feel about it, but I could play a second character to have a cleric in the party. So the other players can play what they really want to?

I made up a Qualinesti Cleric of Mishakal. Her deity’s favored weapon is the quarterstaff. I took two weapon fighting because, although she is an elf and could use shield and sword, I see her (at least initially) trying to avoid shedding blood as she follows her chosen path as a healer/protector. However, when she set out for her pilgrimage, her father made her promise to wear his chain shirt under her vestments and her brothers bade her to keep a bow and dagger alongside her healers kit. She had enough money for a single healing potion which might come in handy with a fledgling party.

She is fit from her recent community work, lithe and dexterous, quite intelligent and learned in religion. She is possessed of great charisma and though she tries to downplay her beauty, it can only be blunted so much and her personality makes her all the more attractive.

GM: the potential knight instead made an oracle to bring in a healer to the group

I enjoy healers and casters in general as well as anything. After almost 38 years of gaming I just like good rp where I don't have to GM lol

One potential knight squire coming up then

Does anyone have a problem with The Goblin running 2 characters? Would anyone else like to do so as well?

I will give it a try. Here is Quonx

I don't have much knowledge of the Dragonlance world. but willing to learn.
I have read the Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, and Dragons of Spring Dawning many years ago and still remember some of it.

Ha! That’s awesome. A party full of elves and a Dwarven Barbarian. :D

I have a deep urge to attempt to throw in a Plainsmen Elf friend squire of KOS in that mix...........

DM, when do you believe this epic adventure might begin?

I am usually not a fan of two characters unless leadership is allowed. Then you could have a knight and his squire etc.

I am hoping within the week. We are preping to go back to in person classes this week, with Monday being the first day kids will be back. I am also scheduled to get my 2nd Covid on Saturday and so am not sure about any impact it might have.

A hill dwarf or mountain dwarf?

Lets go Hill dwarf.

Sounds good!

Sovereign Court

Here's my attempt.
Aspiring Knight Squire of Solamina

Brief Overview.
Windsworn is a Squire of a deceased knight who has being dispatched as both a show of friendship from the Knights of Solamnia and as a test for the squire whose Knight Lord had fallen in battle.
He is also an Elf Friend as he and his previous Knight Lord has had lent aid to the Nation with considerable danger on their persons.

He is also not a Solaminc as due to the revised Oath and measures, he was accepted as squire directly his recently passed Knight Lord, Lord Fieron a Rose Knight.

A Human Dragoon Fighter who might need to take a class in oracle in order to progress into the Knight of the Crown/Sword/Rose prestige classes.

Grand Lodge

Throwing my hat in the ring here for an Elf Alchemist. He has traveled the world but looking to settle down now after the war as a merchant. Of course, this requires capitol which he does not have. As he adventures, he keeps some money set aside that he will utilize to build his shop. Will he be successful in achieving his dreams of a prosperous future, or will he fizzle out prior to seeing them come true.

NOTE: this is the character I will be using, I will scale him back as the adventure he was built for drizzled out. Future note, if allowed, I want to take the Leadership trait and have Gabla come in to run his store for him, which hopefully he will have up and running by then.

DM, where would our characters be starting? A small hamlet, out on the road, or in a shadowed corner of a seedy in of a shady neighborhood?

I think the DM is preparing for school to open tomorrow, but it looks like we have enough people for a full party.

Happy Easter to everyone. I spent most of the day in bed. Today was nuts at school.

Will you be looking at the KOS PRC's?

What kind of elf is he? (Kagnoesi, Silvanesti, Qualanesti, half?)

It is going to depend on the make up of the party/

Yes but the progression is a little weird. I may or may not be able to get into one by level 3.

There are ways to belong to the organization without taking the prestige classes. So you can be leveling in what you want to do and when you meet the Pre Reqs you can take the PRC. But you would have to go through the process of being a member of the Order.

Does that make sense?

Sorry that I was not on the last few days, things were nuts the past few days at the school. Internet working, not working. Uugh.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Do we have a tally of who has applied and with what character?

This would actually make things easier for me as The PRC needs a spellcasting class and I don't have one atm.

However One still needs the Knight of the Crown PrC in order to qualify for the other PrC. lol. The requirements are such. So not needing to take the prestige class makes it easier for me.

I was bouncing around in your reading and it seems that you are missing a cleric. If needed, I would be happy to put together a War Priest of Kiri-Jolith. Human or dwarf most likely.

Not according to the Knightly Orders of Ansalon. Which orders are you looking at reaching by the end of the campaign?

Would you be a more Knight of Solamania cleric of Kiri Jolith or more into the church of Kiri Jolith, if that makes sense?

Probably more of a more direct clergyman than a knight of Solamnia. I just noticed you have an oracle so perhaps the cleric position is not required.

ok
