I'm cool with all that.
How about a magic item that let's you do an AoE, especially one that can be cast at range? That might mitigate like, all of your remaining concerns. The flying carpet deal is a damn good idea, btw.

Very interesting idea. I'll have to look around and see what there is that he can use without hands. Thanks for the suggestion.

Flying carpets are very cool but start at around 20,000gp :o
Yep, it'll be a late game purchase. Prior to that there are potions of fly but I'm not sure how doable that is action-economy-wise without having hands.

I mean, this situation is not really different than a heavily focused illusionist or enchantress dealing with the same thing. Mindless enemies, swarms, oozes, a lot of these random monster encounters are so significantly out of some players wheelhouses that a lot of groups may have trouble with them.
You all, honestly, are doing freaking great. Keep it up!

Well, it seems our party is not optimized for PFS play. Light in Arcane and skills, we seem to excel when interations are more subtle. It's like we are an infiltration team that is forced into brutal hand to hand combat. It's not that the foxes can't hold their own, we are just designed for missions that would be easier for a home brew.
I mean, we are still awesome, just built for different missions. That said, our character development is top notch.

![]() |

Oh, I'm not saying we have no dps. You guys generate a ton of pain. We just seem less durable. Lightly armored with rage penalties place us at a detriment in a protracted battle.
Well, Phidoe has a solid AC, but the rest of us struggle in that area.

![]() |

That's a fair point, actually.
I've been thinking of complementing my AC with some good ol' Armor Enchantment, and now that I don't plan on going the Heavy Armor Melee Fighter route, that opens up some funds for me to get started :D

![]() |

Ikari should probably boost his AC a little. I'm planning on going with celestial armour in the long run, but a couple of pluses on a mithril shirt in the meanwhile might make sense. Mainly I'm hoping to keep enemies at a distance and kill them before they can close ;)

![]() |

So, to be clear, we could have just stayed at the manor house and he would have come right to us? Sure, the judge would have died, but we could have relaxed, stayed clear of the sewers, and avoided nearly dying at the hands of an undulating stomach monster with a fetish for geometry?

GM TOP |

Mmmhhhmmmm...
But this way you don’t fail any success conditions OR lose money! Yaaaaay!!!

![]() |

I've just discovered that the GM Student of Swords boons that I've applied to Ikari are only good for *one* PC, and I'd already applied them to multiple of my PCs :(
To correct my error I'm removing the boons from Ikari, and leaving them on the first PC I applied them to.
(I'd only just put "work as a team" on Ikari so it's never been used; I think I used "diverse training" once).

Alright, that is actually all of the scenario!
You dang foxes cruised through the two guaranteed fights and easily handled the moderately low DC chase scene and 'convincing' rolls required to avoid a third battle.
So, without further ado, get your dayjob rerolls or faction journal card things done so I can crank out some chronicles!
Welcome to level 5, rest of the skulk.

GM TOP |

Also is there anyone jumping to volunteer to run the next one?

![]() |

It feels like it's been a while since I last ran a game for the skulk, I could be persuaded.
For Ikari's faction journal card, did we by any chance "gain access to a unique or variant item" on the chronicle sheet? The judge's sword, perhaps?
If not, Ikari attempts to create a new trade route: survival DC19: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Daikitsu is kind ;)
day job, farmer: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

I would allow the Judge's Sword to count as that. I can't even find the item on Nethys or d20pfsrd so it's gotta be an uncommon thing. But if you want to use the hot roll for your trade route, that's cool too. Just let me know what to write on your chronicle (not that it really matters on FJC stuff).
I'm good to do the wedding whenever, though we definitely want to coordinate somewhere else for quite a bit of the posts if we are going to do them publicly in the lodge.
Though if we DO do them on the lodge, I'd like to think there will be quite a few posts put out there ahead of the ceremony to get the community involved.
Like, one day a 'notice' is put up announcing the pending nuptials and maybe a call for some 'help' with certain tasks. Then some PC reactions regarding specific tasks we all might be assigned. Then a few RP posts by those involved. Then do a 'day of' the wedding post so that most of us can do a post leading up to it. Then probably have a fully written out block of the ceremony to post. Then wind it up with a good old couple nights of PARTYING so people can post reactions and interactions and so on.

The unique item has to appear on the chronicle sheet to satisfy the fjc. But I'll keep the trade route roll :)

It’s definitely on the chronicle sheet, as well as my thoughts on how useful the item is (spoiler: it’s a crap item).

Wow! We really flew through this one.
As to taking on the next game, I had hoped this would take us another few weeks, but we are just too good. I have students until June 18th and would prefer to wait until then to tackle a scenario. That said, if everyone else is at their limit, I can do it. I may need a week or two to put it together.
Anyone remember what scenarios and/or modules are still fair game?

![]() |

I posted a few ideas on the discord, and I'm happy to take the GM's chair.
No rush though.

GM TOP |

I think our next action is to plan the wedding, right? Then we can do a nice transition into the next module. That will also give us a week or so to calm our lives down (I go on vacation tomorrow but should be able to post regularly still).
Just let me know what the final decision is and I'll start working up a nice transition in gameplay.

![]() |

I'm down for the matrimony!
If we're doing that, we'll want to send out feelers to Itami and Juzo, though. (Juzo hasn't been with us for a while, but that's no reason to leave him off the invite list! But no hard feelings if he's not up for it :P)

![]() |

I think the wedding will take planning on our part. Writing much of it in discord to then post to Flaxseed without interruption from any drunken sots who happen to be in the bar.

GM TOP |

My gameplay transition may not beat the next game start, but we shall see if I can finish it on my trip.

![]() |

I can get the campaign thread up and folks can check in, but I'll happily delay the start till your transition post is done :)
I've just downloaded Carrion Hill today - reading it now :O

Carrion Hill discussion thread is up, and gameplay is open for dotting.
