Everyone received 2 healing potions through the scenario so far, correct? And does everyone receive 1 at the start also?

Grand Lodge

Owlbear Rodeo

Yes. You should all start with 3 healing potions, in total. If you have any left over at the end, you may keep up to two of them...

Someone hit the darn thing with the salvo

Barbarian charging that is dumb so I am waiting for it to come toward shore and hopefully for someone to order the salvo against it. Is there a delay action?

You can ready an attack for when it gets in range, though you think its neck might allow it reach...

Not anymore... I would come up with a Feat if this were a home game, though...

Yes, unless he stays by the firelight, which it does not look like he will do. You could try a blind shot at disadvantage, but he is not even "bloodied" yet, so you are not sure if it will be enough to take him down. Might be worth it to soften him up for another Defense team. (Since this is an epic, technically, he is moving to harass another table.)

does darkvision get rid of that disadvantage?

and yeah, I was thinking of just overall reducing his HP for whoever has to face him next.

Grand Lodge

Owlbear Rodeo

Not if he is beyond your Darkvision range. It would be firing at a target that you cannot see.

You all did a great chunk of damage already!

RODALAS

Summer School Term 1 done. 27/52 students failed the course. Kind of a waste of money as CARES money was used to pay for students to take these courses.

Male Half Elf Bard 5 AC 14 HP 28 /28 Temp HP: 8 Passive Perception +18 Saves: S -1, D +5, Co +0, I +4, W +2, Ch +6

Wow over 50% failure. I guess the student just does not care when they are not paying for it.

It is sad.

Guess you just can't force education, no matter what cool bells and whistles you give it (I'm on the creation side of education). SMDH.

RODALAS

58% failure rate over all T1.

RODALAS

I get it, having online school for a year and then if you didn't do well, to go back to online school, that is frustrating. BUT the high schools have tuutoring and help available. I have been here for about 3 weeks and have seen no one. I was told maybe 15 have come in total to our school.

I hadn't realized, but that makes a surprising number of us working in education (Rodalas, Netzer, Umikh, and myself - I'm an editor for the course production team at an online university)

Me too, I am the manager of a College Bookstore.

Map is updated, by the way.

No worries, my other RL DM is a jail guard and my brother did that for 3 years before transferring to traffic...

The best I can do was that my wife was a teacher prior to having our kids which certainly helped during remote learning.

Do we use the "benefits of friends" on our turn or any time?

@GM - I sent you a PM with a build question and realized I didn't indicate it was me as I sent it from my main profile.

It depends. For the volley, I would say that it is on your turn. For Chwinga and Totem those would be on the opponent's turn...

Ok what happens on a natural 20 in 5th Ed?

Also I will use totem when I charge!

Natural 20 is a crit, so you roll the damage die again and add that to your total. (This includes all associated dice, so Sneak Attack, Smite, etc. all get rolled twice...)

Does it count that Khitt / Greycastle has been working at the local university lately?! Pretty neat so many of us are in or allied in Education.

RODALAS

I miss teaching at the University level, but I do get to teach a few Master's classes in theology as well as sit on Master's Committees.

Module Name: DDEP 10-01: Terror in Ten Towns
Date: 07/03/2021
DM: Noel Mock DCI 6203763429
Level gained? Yes
Gold: 80 go
DT: 10
Notes: Can claim one of the following permanent magic items(both if you level to 5th):

Bracers of Archery:

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)

These fur-lined, rust-colored leather cuffs are crafted in traditional Reghed style, with stylized pictographs of beasts stamped around the outer cuff. Normally used to stabilize the arm during archery and protect from scrapes and cuts, these bracers also magically provide warmth to cold bodies. The wearer suffers no harm in temperatures as cold as −20 degrees Fahrenheit or as warm as 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

While wearing these bracers, you have proficiency with the longbow and shortbow, and you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls on ranged attacks made with such weapons.

Headband of Intellect:

Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement)

This earring is crafted from the unusual material chardalyn, which retains much of the cruel mindset of the Crenshinibon. This provides the earring’s intellect-boosting properties, but it often whispers notions of grandeur and words of confidence into its wearer’s mind and urges them to accumulate more and greater power.

Your Intelligence score is 19 while you wear this earring. It has no effect on you if your Intelligence is 19 or higher without it.

Defender of Easthaven Story Award:

Among other skilled warriors, you successfully defended Easthaven, along with one of the other Ten-Towns in this adventure.

And someone can claim the charlatan's die. As a common item, it does not count toward your permanent magic item total.

Thank you all for playing! Loving this group!

Dark Archive

Male Dwarf (mountain) Barbarian 5(path of the ancestral guardian), max hp 55, ac 15

This is a great group. Would love to play some more with you all! I am taking the earring of intellect cause I should!

Male, LN Goblin, Ranger 5 | HPs 44 | AC: 16 | Init: +5 Sheet Saves S:+2, D:+7, C:+2, I:+1, W:+2, C:+0 | PP 16 | Khatt (Primal Companion) - Female Med Snow Cat | HPs 30 | AC 16 | Saves S:+5, D:+5, C:+5, I:+2, W:+5, C:+3

I really like it when they take the time to add flavor to the magic item rewards. Both of those items are super cool. The headband of INT is one of those items I love to put in a character because INT is just never a stat I can justify putting a lot of points into if I’m not a wizard or artificer. So it always has a significant impact on my skills and with the added flavor I can easily see it taking Khitt’s character in a different RP direction.

So I’m definitely thinking of taking both magic items and leveling to 4 with Khitt.

This brings up the question of what’s next? Do you guys want to continue? Aesh and I have tag team DMd some of this already. Not sure what everyone wants to do now. Aesh, is there a follow up to this epic yet?

RODALAS

That earring would be good if I go mage abd the bracers are nice too

Hmmm...might try that earring of INT, too. Umikh'll be 4th now. But not freezing as a side effect of the bracers is awfully useful here. Decision time.

I'm totally game to keep going!
