Does everyone understand what happened? It seems that Rodalas is confused... Did I not present it clearly enough? I wanted to leave some room for interpretation...

For me, it might have been the way it ended. Did we strike a deal? Did we not? Are we looking for anyone in particular?

I think whether we decide to go after the murderer is up to us, but I assume the banshee will keep attacking people until that crime is solved.

Well, you aren't dead, so you could read that as you have a deal. You are under no obligation to follow up, but likely will not have garnered enough support from the town to count as a success.

I feel a deal was struck and as good folk we can't turn away from this mystery but must solve this to gain the townspeople's support as well as stop the deaths of many innocents

I was understanding that we were going to find the murderer. I was hopi g that with further knowledge of what’s going on, the towns speaker may have additional leads for us.

I am assuming the same thing but if I was responsible for the deal, I would hope to know about it :)

She only spoke to Rodalas. Rodalas, you suspect that she only spoke to you because you were a noble Eladrin... Think the noblesse oblige like it is your noble obligation to look over your people... I am making it kind of a cultural thing, an expectation among your people...

Are we okay? I know it sucks when you peel back the screen and see that the DM pulled the punch... I feel like I took the wind out of our sails a bit. Trying to salvage this, but I wanted to open a discussion on how everyone feels.

Oh damn Rodalas, that's awful! Had that happen ages ago, it takes awhile to deal with it all. So sorry to hear about that, some people just suck.

I was coming here to say it's been a crazy week for us, but it's been a wild week for more of us sounds like.

It's back to school (BTS) in the digital publishing world, suddenly everyone has issues they need help with and it all needs done yesterday. And I have a replacement work laptop I'm supposed to switch to but keep running into issues, both with the dying old one and the replacement. Ugh. Hubby has been busy with his work stuff, too. And now it's game on with the gardening, longest I've ever had to wait to put plants in the ground. Fortunately doing a small garden this year, not much trouble.

Which is to say that probably after this week I'll be in the groove of BUSY again and not missing days in a row (sorry about that). As for the previous encounter, I for one am glad when the DM doesn't kill us all; I game to have fun, not be frustrated and rolling new characters :) I prefer to think of it as the "bad" guys thought we weren't even worth their time. We'll see how we hold up to just one baddie - with help!

I had to change all mhy passwords on my devices and ended up getting an inexpensive laptop until the damage door can be fioxed on Wed. Then I will get my new printer. Jerks stole printer toner too.

Damn Rodalas, that's really awful. Do you have insurance to cover some of it?

@Aeshuura - I'm fine with everything. I was holding back until a few more people posted because I wanted Baldrick to cast Sleep, so I hoped the druid would have fewer HP. To be honest, I'm okay with a TPK too, as long as it's not malicious - sometimes you just don't beat the odds.
