This is the Discussion thread for DDEP 10-01: Terror in Ten Towns.

Now if I drag my feet and I truly don't start this game until Friday night. Rodney could be level 3 or maybe 4 do to I could run him at Garyon (my first online con) instead of my new halfling barbarian that I just made. And I want to make sure we are not playing DDAL 10-01 The Frozen North. Is there a difference between the two (DDEP vs. DDAL) with regards to season 10 rules?

Nope, no difference. DDAL 10-01 and DDEP 10-01 are completely different stories, so have at it! I doubt we will have gotten to any real combat by Friday, so I am okay with that, if no one else objects.

What backgrounds are people using so I can cover some ground a bit different?

Baldrick is a Soldier - I'm not sure about the others.

Criminal (only have the PHB for DDB) for a back ground. I figure Rodney headed to Ten Towns to escape his past.

It tracks with the reason most come to Icewind Dale... ;)

Yeah, that is generally my deal. I usually level by running a game on these boards. I am hoping that maybe Greycastle runs the next one. ;)

I enjoyed PF1, but I'd need someone to build and upkeep the character, because even just levelling up somehow always consumed entire days of my life.

First day back to school in preparation for student return next week. I do not have a computer in my room with a functioning camera so go figure, lol/

It looks like Good Mead followed closely by Dougan's Hole for now, though Baldrick and Umikh have both said they could be easily swayed.

FYI I get my 2nd vaccination tomorrow morning. Hopefully there will be no side effects.

Drink plenty of water, and have some Advil or Tylenol on hand, just in case.

The 2nd one wore me out for about a day starting in the second day after the shot in the afternoon. I had my TA take care vet and I did the old man nap.

I slept from 6 pm to 7 am, waking up every 2 or 3 hours...

Heads up. Starting this weekend, I will be gone for 9 days. I am going on vacation and making some big moves in my life. I will continue to post until Friday, end of day. Then be back a week from this coming Monday.
