I was down there for a conference the week before last. Too bad I didn’t make the park. I wound up driving down to Miami with one of our salesmen and overnighted in Miami for some client visits that Friday.

I totally got Covid after visiting Universal. I'm still recovering. I had no idea cases had spiked all over the US :S It's like a cold but it's still annoying to get sick.

For those wondering what my clever plan is: Dismiss the current scout familiar and replace with a Thush familiar. A thrush familiar "can speak one language of its master's choice as a supernatural ability" - which would be giant. It can also speak to me: "Speak with Master (Ex): If the master is 5th level or higher, a familiar and the master can communicate verbally as if they were using a common language.", thus I, using it can act as an interpreter for the party...

It's actually a condition called 'Old Fart Gamers Syndrome' which one contracts having played RPGs for over *thinks* oh wow that long eh? I'm guessing longer than some of you have been alive.

I have a buddy who still prefers 2E. He has problems getting people to play, but I still do since it's one of my favorite editions, and I still have almost all the class splat books. I just wish he did not have an obsession with Birthright.

I loved those box sets. I had them all until I sold them on Ebay. All I kept from that era was a few of the dice that actually survived and my dogeared copy of 'Isle of Dread' that I used for the maps.

I never used the white crayon on the dice; I used black permanent marker.
Unearthed Arcana with the coolest dice roll method for stats...
