This is currently not sanctioned for PFS and will not use PFS characters.

You will all create all new 5th level characters for this game. You get a lump sum of 270 gp to buy your equipment.

You cannot be a human but any other ancestry that has been published so far is on the table, including the new ones from APG.


Ok, I will likely be making a higher level version of Scratch (Dwarven Ranger) to test things out to see if I like the trap making aspect of a ranger. He'll be ranged primarily.

Keep in mind Astrael that this is not a PFS character but more of a campaign mode similar to an Adventure Path so make an alias under your profile and not a PFS character that gets assigned a number.

The bulk of all the required 'kits' for skills is very limiting. Any thoughts on this other than: have more strength or take the hefty hauler skill?

Scratch is about done, please take a look and offer up some comments/corrections if you see them. I'm still getting used to the proficiency calculations.

Also, since he's a snare crafter, I took the liberty of some downtime for making some half price snares. Not sure on how you are planning on doing that aspect GM.

After my roomate asked me why I'm not just an investigator and I couldn't give a good answer, I will be shifting my build into investigator that archetypes into rogue. Very little of my build will change except for a loss of a couple trained skills.

Here is the orc witch Utek. Haven't played a lot of casters before (and never one this high level before). All I have to do is pick spells. Any recommendations?

Also, have a spellslime familiar and took Familiar's Language. So I can now speak with oozes! Let me know if I wont be able to use this for some reason and will pick another feat.

Also, is anyone having trouble with the forums? They are taking forever to load for me and have been like that all day.

Slings are reload 1. I think you'd only be able to:

Reload

This turn since you fired it last round? Not 100% sure. Its the same as the crossbow. Not sure if you can draw a sling loaded like you can for a crossbow?

Slings aren't great in either. But they are free and ranged bludgeoning at least. I'll probably have to get one for Scratch just for that reason now with those oozes.

So..I have heard that failing a recall check prevents one from retrying. However, I cannot find any text that supports this. Is there something I am missing?

That first fight really was challenging for our group's skill set. I can't see anything meaner for a bunch of melee and physical ranged combatants! I haven't really researched it, but it to equip ourselves to deal with oozes.

Battle Medicine is it's own separate track. You can apply Battle Medicine to each ally once a day. Think of it like "Ally Slots" which you expend throughout the day.

A patient can receive Treat Wounds from a care provider no more than once per hour, and can be "quickly" treated in about 10 minutes.

Yeah, with the possibility of more acidic oozes, grabbing some clubs and staffs might be better than fists. :D They don't cost anything and are easily replaceable.

Did a brief look on AON and all the oozes are immune to the mental trait. Is it possible to switch Patrons to Fate? If not - no worries! Still going to be fun either way.

There are no physical clues here, I meant more that you can use the scene for your Pursue a Lead ability.

First I want to say, I'm having a blast playing this character in this game. Oozes and all.

That said, in the spirit of intercharacter comradely antagonism, if one of your characters would like to endeavor to curb Bangy's light-fingered tendencies, he would happily oblige if you succeed an appropriate check to convince him to change his ways.

Excellent! Having a blast with each of you as well.

I like how they played this off with needing bludgeoning weapons against all these oozes and then toss a few monsters in that need the complete opposite.

Scratch is happy to have another around that has a strong sense of 'survivalism'. I also do appreciate the conflicting thoughts on this from the other characters.

As far as DR types.. I'm seeing a strong flaw in this 'trap build' ranger: all my damage is piercing. Also seeing that I'm not sure dropping 3 actions on laying a trap in combat would be worth the current 5d6 damage currently. I guess that's why they call it a test run!

I am a fan of character-charaacter conflict so long as it doesn't lead into player-player conflict in an unproductive way, as it is difficult sometimes to gauge over the PbP interface.

If you've had trouble logging into Paizos site there was some pretty bad weather causing issues, but it's fixed now! Please follow their advice below and delete old cookies to log in again!

We had an outage today with the servers keeping track of our session information, which is crucial for making log-ins "stick". We finished repairing the problem around 5:00 PM PST, but sessions from before then won't work properly. Anyone having trouble signing in should be able to fix the issue by deleting their paizo.com cookies and attempting to log in again.

Chrome: Right click the lock icon next to https://paizo.com/ in the address bar, left click 'Cookies', select 'paizo.com' then click 'remove' and 'done', should be all gone and you can relog now!

I know that oozes are immune to critical hits, but from what I know they are not immune to critical failures on their own saves. I think the green ooze should have taken double damage from the electric arc critical failure.
