At Evelyn's words about getting a quick spank, Orla blushes furiously and glares at Glamoursten.

As the group is inspecting the door and preparing to move to the next room, Orla stands behind Petro as he has continuously shown himself to be caring a protective and he makes her feel safe.


Evelyn moves over to the southeastern door followed closely by her new Pathfinder buddies. She barely touches the door and it slowly slides open. A brazier of glowing coals sits in the center of the room, its acrid smoke mixing with the every-present stench. A few knives, pokers, and other metal implements lie atop a rusty iron box nearby.

A massive troglodyte - larger than most adult ones - circles the brazier in the middle of the room, obviously waiting for the door to open. He must've heard the battle!

If I'm reading the situation correctly, Orla gets to go now simply because the Trog had been dazed, but he won't still be dazed by her turn. If that's the case, she'll go ahead and moonbeam him now. If not, then she'll ready an action to moonbeam him as soon as the daze wears off. And yes, she's shooting from the doorway so she doesn't have to deal with the fort save :=)

Moonbeam vs Touch AC (with Adaptable Luck): 1d20 + 5 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 3 - 4 = 61d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
If it hits, the Trog must succeed at a DC15 Fort Save or be blinded for 1 round.


Yeah - he would be dazed for Evelyn, then come out of his daze for Kelleran and Orla. Will wait for Evelyn for an update.

Sorry, I was sure i Posted two days ago, but my post didn't appear. @Ken Ichi: you can call that a running gag...

Fort DC 13: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Evelyn is overwhelmed by the stench, but tries to attack all the same, while doing her best to keep her last meal inside her belly

attack, sick: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 2 = 10
dmg, sick: 1d6 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 - 2 = 1


Evelyn feels nauseous from the stench in the room. Troglodytes sure are smelly! She's unable to shoot it as she's sick to her stomach.

Then the troglodyte snaps out of his daze and looks directly at Ken'ichi

Kelleran is able to shoot a missile from his wand. It smacks the troglodyte right in the chest.

As hard as Orla concentrates, the smell also seems to be affecting her not mechanically.

Petro manages to get behind the troglodyte, thanks to Ken'ichi's attacks distracting him. He brings his morningstar to bear with a grunt of exertion.

Ken'ichi can't seem to hold his lunch down and it's affecting his combat.

As the troglodyte dies, the Pathfinders search him. He has nothing on him beyond a small key. There is also a rusty iron chest near the fire place that the troglodyte was sitting on.

You took the 2 HP from Sombra, not Petro.

As Sombra knows the Draconic language he will relate what the troglodyte said to the party.
"Even though we have a key I suggest we let Evelyn check the chest just in case it's trapped."

Sheathing his sword in an almost ritualistic manner, Ken'ichi speaks over the troglodyte, wishing his spirit good travels to where ever it goes. When he hears what the creature had to say before dying, he pauses briefly, then finishes his words. "No sense to return hatred to a new spirit. It probably doesn't remember much from this life anyways."

As the troglodyte finally falls, Orla is visibly frustrated. She closes her eyes and tries to take a deep breath to focus...just as a blue nimbus of light flutters up by her and tugs on one of her piggy tails breaking her focus. "Uuuuugh!" she grunts and then moves up to join the group in waiting to see what the chest holds.

Evelyn moves over to the locked box. She looks it up and down, trying to find traps - she sees none! Then she takes the key and tries to stick it in the keyhole. But the box simply opens with her touch - the lock must not work.

Inside she sees a suit of studded leather armor that's well made (masterwork quality), a buckler of similar quality (masterwork), a masterwork rapier, a shortbow with 15 arrows, two scrolls, a wayfinder, and a climber's kit.

"Very nice selection! And how fortunate to find a masterwork rapier for Evelyn to use!"

I'm assuming we'll let Evelyn search the room for traps/secret doors and, if we don't find any, back into the previous room and on to the northeast door.

Evelyn slowly opens up the room. Crouched in the corner cowers a human male. He looks dirty and hungry with several bruises all over. A set of manacles bound his wrists to his ankles. There is no visible light in here so he must have been in darkness. The man doesn't say anything but averts his eyes and cowers.

As the Pathfinders wait a moment, he takes a look at Evelyn. She doesn't look like a troglodtye. The man's demeanor immediately changes. He slowly crawls towards the elf. "Please... please release me. Water.". His words are barely audible.

He slowly starts to regain his composure as he realizes that he'll be free soon. "Did you find my things? Is my wayfinder okay?"
