Chagrined, "Um...anyone have a rope?"

If so, Kelleran will take 10 for a 13 (or 18 if he can use a corner)

The tengu easily clambers up the side of the tower to the second floor. From his vantage point, he can see other similar towers off in the distance.

Kellaran on the other hand has a bit of trouble. He doesn't see any corner to brace against, just wall. Kelleran would fail the climb check on a 13.

As the tengu prepares to climb up, Orla hands him her knoted rope and asks, "Could you lower this for me when you get up there?" And then she looks at her burned hands and says, "I don't climb very well," and looks a bit embarrassed that she has to ask for help.

Climb Check: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (13) - 4 = 9

DC 10 for a knotted rope, so she failed to get anywhere.

Climb Check #2: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (2) - 4 = -2

Wouldn't actually fall since she hadn't left the ground yet, though she does have the grasp cantrip prepared, so immediate action to retry the check at a -2 in case you feel she would have.

Grasp Climb Check: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (10) - 6 = 4

Sighing heavily, Orla calls up to her allies and asks, quite sheepishly, "I don't suppose you'd be willing to pull me up?"

Strength check to pull up the tiny Halfling girl? Please? Someone?

So, taking 10 on the knotted rope then? Is that alright?

As long as Ken'ichi agrees to bringing up the knotted rope then yes, you can take 10 on it. And reading the rules on climb checks, it's only a DC 5 to climb a knotted rope, not a DC 10.

Sombra would've asked one of the stronger characters to carry his 'drop bag' of 'heavy' gear since he has a Str of 10.

"I have a silk rope, grappling hook, hammer, 2 pitons, and a crowbar if we need it. Once I heard where we were going I thought we might need dungeoneering supplies."
Once Orla and Kelleran climb, Sombra climbs next.

Sombra takes 10 on his Climb check for a total of...10.

Well, if it's DC 5, Orla made it on the first check. Not sure where I got that it was DC 10 for a knotted rope, but I'm certainly not complaining :=)

Once all the Pathfinders make it to the second floor, they too can see the vast expanse of the Cairnlands. But that's not what they came here to do. In front of them are two doors, one to the northwest and one to the southwest.

Given the go-ahead, Ken'ichi walks through the door to the north.

Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor.

And in the center of the room stands a lizard. With a cackle of electricity, it looks towards the tengu. Its ears perk back and looks expectantly at Ken'ichi.

Ken'ichi tilts his own head in concert with the lizard, curious at it's own curiosity. "Are you a spirit of peace? Or one of war?"

Again, the tengu mimics the lizard. Hearing Evelyn's suggestion, he says to the lizard, "I did not bring any with me, but there is some food down below that you are welcome to have."

Petro urges everyone to follow him as he opens up the next door. Racks for weapons line the walls of this chamber; above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards on display. Most of the racks are empty, but a few weapons remain in place. A horrible stench fills the room as well, akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer.
