Dominic bows to Kassen's ghost after overcoming the shock of seeing the dead town hero. "My Lord, it is an honor."
He looks at the skeletons and scattered equipment. "What should we do about this? Is the tomb safe again now that Asar is destroyed?"

GM Mauve |

Maud moves over to the eastern crypt. This crypt is the resting place for a number of villagers, each one entombed inside a stone sarcophagus. Unlike Kassen's, none of them appear to be disturbed.
Then she moves to the western crypt. This crypt contains the resting place for some of the raiders that attacked Kassen so many years ago. The central sarcophagus has been disturbed, its lid lying broken on the ground in front of it. The corpse of a masked man lies beside it.
The dead man is wearing grey robes and an iron mask that covers his face. The stench of rot hangs heavy around him - but he is definitely dead (and not undead).
DC 20 Knowledge (local) check
The dead man has a few items of interest on his person. Searching the decaying body, you find a map leading to the crypt (along with a note that reads 'The amulets are entombed with Kassen and Asar', a wand, bracers, a horn, 354 gp in newly minted coins, and a spellbook.
Feel free to roll a Spellcraft check for the wand, bracers, and horn.

Kassen nods to Dominic. "The tomb should be safe now that you defeated him again. The amulets.... the one stolen from Asar and I... raised him as a skeletal champion I believe. It also raised me as a ... ghost.". He thanks the Pathfinders again. "I'll watch over this tomb now that I'm free."
-------------
With that, you can head back to Roldare on the first floor. He's quietly weeping as you enter with Dimira. And doesn't realize you've returned. Dimira stands back initially. "What happened to my brother?" she whispers in Cevrik's ears. "Is he ok? Did Asar do something to him?" she's hesitant to approach.

"He is simply in a state of terror, m'lady," Cevrik says, trying to comfort the gal. "He, unfortunately, lacks the courage that you have and may take longer to find his way back to peace. I fear his nights may be full of nightmares and waking fear for many months after this."
He then turns to Carlin, knowing that the man took to her well in their first interactions and says, "My lady, would you be so kind as to gently approach him and let him know we've returned with his sister?"
He then urns back to the damsel no-longer-in-distress, takes her hand reassuringly and says, "We'll wait here so we don't all startle him by approaching at once."

"This man was a follower of Razmir, and died about 3 months ago by strangulation. He was likely the one that raised Asar. Obviously he couldn't have taken the amulets, but maybe he wasn't alone." I'm not trained in Kn.Local, but since I identified him can others attempt the check now?

Maud will silently watch with big glistening eyes. She loves reunions.

He might need a bit of time to recover from this ordeal. As you might as well, but only time and the gods will tell. I imagine if you seek guidance from a priest, they can offer counsel.

GM Mauve |

@Maud, yeah, anyone can attempt the DC 20 Knowledge (local) check now that you told them about it!
Carlin recognizes the wand as a wand of magic missile (CL 3rd, 22 charges), the bracers as bracers of armor, and the horn as a horn of fog.

Dominic nods at Kassen. "I'm sure many would be honored to meet you. May we bring them? Will you remain here?"
Later, Dominic smiles at the tearful reunion. "Roldare, it's your sister. We've brought her back. Now let's all get out of this place."

GM Mauve |

Kassen responds, "I will stay here and protect this place. Yes, bring others. I want to see the people of my town."
---------------
Roldare snaps up. "Dinira? Is that really you?" He sniffles, and shakes in place. He then jolts up upon seeing his sister and runs over to her. "I thought you had died! I was worried sick." He still shakes, his sanity not fully returned. "Take us back, please..." He holds hands with his sister on the way out, but has trouble walking.
The journey back to Kassen is somber but uneventful. Dinira and Roldare don't part at all, except to sleep. The weather is dreary but no rain falls.
When the group finally returns to Kassen, they find a celebration underway in their honor. Mayor Uptal is there to greet everyone at the gates, but his joy at their reutrn quickly turns to horror when he sees the somber group approach. He can tell something bad happened.
"What happened? You look like you've seen a ghost? Is that Dinira? Roldare? What are you doing with them? You look terrible" He helps Dinira and Roldare into town. "Go take them to the doctors. Please tell me what happened."
Some townsfolk start arriving, most expecting a celebration, but they stay back as the group of Pathfinders does not look like their in good shape.

Willard looks to the others before speaking, Something happened, bandits and a priest of Razamir broke into the tombs and stole something from there... Many undead happened as a result we barely got out with those two and our lives.

"As Willard says," Cevrik begins, standing a bit in his stirrups to look a bit taller atop the bear dog as he speaks, "there were undead fiends, abominations to be sure, but we vanquished them. It is, after all, the duty and responsibility of a knight to serve and protect others." He then takes a moment to soak in looks of admiration and gratitude.
All at once, another thing occurs to him and he says, "Oh, and there's a ghost, but it's the ghost of Kassen and he's nice. He's protecting the tomb from looters now. Oh yeah, and he said he'd like to see the people of his town, so, I mean, if some of you want to swing by and say hi to him and stuff, he'd like that."

About the only thing left in there is a few bats...they don't like fire very much, as it turns out. I think going to the crypt would be safe for everyone. Get in touch with the local history and the founder's legacy...

Maud knows giving notice of the villagers death will cause great grief in the town, but that she is probably not the best person to break that news. So for the most part Maud will follow her companions' lead. She will draw the mayor to the side and suggest that people with strong stomachs and not strong ties to the dead are sent to clean up the crypt before villagers starts visiting Kassen's ghost.
