Evera looks at the battle from the ridge. From her vantage point between the trees, she can see the clearing below where fireballs are flying and there is so much shouting.

She crouches low with her longbow already in hand and she tries to move stealthily through the terrain.

Her blonde hair is tied into a loose braid that falls over one shoulder. Her green eyes study the movement. Her armor is not elegant, but dulled by travel and etched faintly. She has a composite longbow and small ioun stones are orbiting lazily around her head.

Evera narrows her eyes as she doesn’t know these warriors. She doesn’t know the barbarian woman, nor the figure who hovers mid-air, nor the fox-faced man throwing spells. But the signs are clear enough that the women in black robes, and the skeletal soldiers, and that towering armored giant radiate the kind of malice that needs no introduction.

All three of them take cover from you. A few curt commands and several of the slaves come stand as meat shields also pulling the arrows out for her.

A multicolored explosion of leaping, ricocheting energy hits the hill. Then a cloying miasma of greasy darkness. As one of the bears heads up the hill.

The pink barbarian is stunned and drops his spear. Jorrast puts down the pain and drops the pink barbarian with an extra kick to go elsewhere but then misses the kick.

You quickly find out that the prisoners and I are in the castle safe. Once you find me, I relay, "The barbarians were almost upon us, and I quickly teleported us out of there. To the loss of one of my precious quickened teleport scrolls. We were lost and being hunted. I don't know where Alice or Jorrast are."

Xandarian and Wolf:

One minute, she is wading through enemies, the next, in the tavern in Elkheart with Xandarian. As he mentions the others, she comes to the realization that whatever spell the paladin had managed had taken them from the battlefield, leaving the others.

When Wolf appears at the castle with the freed prisoners, she breathes a sigh of relief only to realize that the others were still unaccounted for. "Is there a fast way to get back to them or bring them here?"

He would direct his words at a guard about imminent threat. As the barbarian army was being roused. The council would want to form a response to this threat.


Ulricha and Xan:
The guard quickly leaves. He comes back and states that the immediate emergency meeting will happen soon. You are welcome to head that way now or wait to be called.

About 30 minutes later you are called. In attendance is Bearik, Quince, and Sulvanii. They want you to explain the threat in your own words.

He quickly voices several missing pieces, "We traveled my Greenwatch Elk with Stalker to a Canyon several hours from Fort Drelev. It was a camp of elites with the prisoners. The barbarian attack should be dealt with before it escalates."

Run̈ing as you fly... The Elven woman you dont recognize falls behind. She goes 120 feet as you fly/run at 240. After a minute you are sure you are safe and descend.
