Super sorry I've been slowing everyone down, I've just had no motivation to really play any ttrpg's lately...this will be my formal drop out message, but I hope everyone enjoys themselves!
Echoing the rest, sad to see you go. I rather enjoyed your character :=) All the best!
Gareleth Jarvinx |
Friendly reminder: about 4 hours until sign-ups open for Gameday! I'm just waiting to pounce on a spot for Mauve's "Down the Verdant Path!"
Gareleth Jarvinx |
When does it officially open? 12:00 UTC?
Yes, open sign ups begin "on the 12th." No specific time was given, but these things typically go by UTC, so midnight makes it the 12th!
Gareleth Jarvinx |
Are any of you planning on using these characters for Gameday? I'll try to make sure we're done by then!
I had anticipated we might not be done, hence chose Soleil instead. No need to rush on my account, at least.

This is my first time doing knowledge checks as a GM. I can't really find official rules on it. So let me know if I reveal too much/too little.
The rules are a little vague.
Strict/harsh GMs ask the player to designate something they want to know for each 5 above D.C. That can mean you get nothing g useful though, which doesn’t quite fit.
Other GMs choose what knowledge is appropriate.
The basic pass information you get can also vary from GM to GM. I once passed a check and the GM just described the creature’s appearance. I should have got that without the check. I usually give creature type, name and anything very obvious for a basic pass.

Agreed—anything that’s iconic to the creature, basically. For example, it’s unlikely you would know something is a rattlesnake without knowing it rattles and has a venomous bite, so that’s info you’re going to get for IDing it!

That will bring Yuzu up to level 2! I'll have to cement a few things now that it's my last chance to do so.
As a side note, however, I got Ghost of Tsushima for my birthday today, so I'm eager to play more Yuzu. Who's up for First Steps Part 2? :D (I suppose the GM would be the first one we should ask, actually...)

Part 2 and 3 are retired.
A GM can still run them for fun but nobody will get chronicles.
I've never played either so I would be up for that. The GM does the most work though, so it's really up to Mauve.
GM Mauve |
Happy birthday! Enjoy Ghost of Tsushima!
First Steps Part 2 and Part 3 are retired :( They were made for factions that are no longer around. Could run them, but yeah, you wouldn't be able to get any credit.
I could be convinced to do other Evergreen Scenarios (Wounded Wisp, The Confirmation, the Consortium Compact, or Master of the Fallen Fortress)
Let me know if any of those interest you! Also flexible on other scenarioes that might interest you.
Cynan G Elberion |
Cynan has done confirmation and Wisp.
This chronicle will see him to level 2, after a slight rebuild, and I'm not keen on replaying any scenarios at the moment (I have played all of the evergreens).
If you decide to branch out then I am enjoying the group and would happily stick around but if you want to, understandably, stick with those options then I will have to wish you well.
Yuzu Fokkusupō |
Yuzu finished The Confirmation and has credit for the Consortium Compact, I don’t think I’ve done any of the others yet. I’d also be game to try something else!
Gareleth Jarvinx |
Gareleth, like Yuzu, hits 2nd level with this chronicle. Would you consider running a tier 1-5 instead, GM Mauve?
Evergreens are forever open for 1st level characters, but you can only do them once ever per player (and again as GM, technically) with a 2nd level character, so conceivably we could do one, but it looks like this group all together has already covered the evergreens.
GM Mauve |
I'm fine with running another 1-5 scenario. I can look over the list in the AM (it's late here!) and try to find some that I'd be interested in GM'ing. Was thinking of something that I've already played before like #8-06 Reaping What We Sow.
Also, here are the Chronicle sheets. I'm fairly sure I've done them right, but if you find any problems, let me know and I can sort them out. Will wait till I get confirmation from everyone before submitting the game.
If Rogue Xeno/Iesol is still here, I was told that you will get a chronicle sheet as well but you might get less gold/XP than normal. Waiting for confirmation from the higher ups. If I don't hear from you, I will shoot you a PM.
Andrelis Lethian |
That was a lot of fun actually!
So purchasing things, like the stuff we found, or other more mundane items, do we make a record of it, like if I wanted to upgrade my armor or weapon?
Yuzu Fokkusupō |
I tossed a quick message to them on Discord:
I don't feel it would be fair to give literally any credit
But thanks for asking
GM Mauve |
So if you click on the link above, you get something called a Chronicle Sheet (let me know if you can't access it).
You don't get to keep anything you find in the adventure unfortunately. Basically you give everything you find to the Pathfinder Society. As a reward, you get an amount of gold (in this case 417 gp) that you can use to purchase items.
There is a limit of what you can buy (read the Guide for better guidelines). But basically, you can purchase anything on your chronicle sheet given you have the money. Things that are always available: basic items (weapons, armor, etc), +1 weapons/armor/shield, any 0/1st level potions or scroll, wayfinders, and items purchased with Prestige.
Otherwise, what you can buy is based on total Fame. Right now, you have less than 5 fame, so you wont be able to purchase anything unless its a) on your chronicle sheet or b) always available.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Yuzu Fokkusupō |
Also worth noting, you can rebuild your PC and purchasing decisions as much as you’d like until you play at level 2 for the first time— the only exceptions being consumables (like ammo and potions) and PP items. That way you don’t have to trade in a rapier for half price just to get a masterwork rapier, for example. ...unless you wait too long.
GM Mauve |
Also, looks like I'll need your emails in case you guys win a boon. According to this site, you'll have about a 10% chance to win a boon. If you don't want to provide me an email, the Online Team will find you on here and notify you about your win. Please PM me if you want to send it over.
Thank you!
Once I get all your confirmation that everything is correct and your emails, I'll submit the game.
GM Mauve |
So i could rewrite the character out of an archetype to regain trapfinding?!? I had a concept, but traps seem to be too important to not have the skill
Yep. You could change archetypes or make Andrelis into a paladin, a druid, a gnome, whatever you wanted to. Can alter him any time before you start a level 2 game.
Yuzu Fokkusupō |
Annnnnnnnnnnd Yuzu is now Level 2 :D
I'm now significantly harder to kill! Which will be good if I run into any greataxe-wielding halflings.
GM, I haven't done Reaping What We Sow, and I'd be happy to participate in such :D Especially if there are big open spaces for Satsuki to run people down.

Okay! Game is submitted. May be a day or two before it'll be on your Paizo page (maybe longer, not sure!). Let me know if you have any other questions.
Also, I plan on Reaping What We Sow. It's quite Halloween-y from what I remember. Will try to finish sometime around Halloween! Might start in a week or so. Let me know if any of you are interested!
Yuzu Fokkusupō |
This is gonna be neat because I could afford to get Yuzu’s proper masterwork samurai armor (tatami-do, not o-yoroi) but not her masterwork weapons.
So her blades are being polished; she’s going into the next scenario with nothing but her horse, her armor, her bow, and her teeth.
In fairness, she should be pretty decent with that bow and Satsuki is a force to be reckoned with right now :D

I'll upload the Reaping What You Sow game sometime tomorrow probably if anyone is interested in that.
And will inactivate this game sometime tomorrow unless anyone has further questions.
The game may take up to a week or two to show on your Organized Play page. PM me if you don't see it and I'll try to fix it.
Gareleth Jarvinx |
I just wanted to nudge—I didn’t miss anything, right? :D
You haven't missed anything. GM Mauve has been dealing with some RL stuff, but will get the game going before too much longer.
