GM Mauve's PFS 1e 8-06 Reaping What We Sow (Inactive)

Game Master MauveAvengr

Maps and Info!

Hey all. Deciding to GM the PFS scenario 8-06 Reaping What We Sow. Relatively new GM and would prefer low subtier (lvl 1-2) but can do either subtier.

This scenario is very autumn-y, perfect for upcoming Halloween! There are also some horror elements. As a group, we should decide if we should run it lighthearted, normal (as written), or horror-y.

Let me know if you have any questions. Will leave up recruitment a few days or until we find a good group of adventurers!

Thanks!

Player Name: VixieMoondew
Character Name: Yuzu Fokkusupo
Paizo Number: 222-176
Character Number: 4
Faction: GL
Day Job Check: Craft (tools): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Happy to play it horribly or lighthearted or anywhere in between :D I wonder what rhymes with “decapitation”?

Sovereign Court

Oh I'd so be interested!

Player NameTorilgrey
Character NameAndrelis Lethian
Paizo Number2387887-1
Day jobNone

I like horror

Test Engineer

I'd like to join if you have room for a cleric!

Player Name Levi Steadman
Character Name Licia Calvus
Character ID 73957-6
Day Job None

I too would like to veer in the horror direction if everyone ends up comfortable with that.

Scarab Sages

If you were willing to play this one in the Core campaign (maybe an atractive idea if you are a new GM) I would be able to play it with Elneth.

She is a level 2 ranger.

Sovereign Court

You know Gareleth wouldn't miss a chance to adventure with his brother and his favorite misshapen friend!

Player Name: pippinTook
Character Name: Gareleth Jarvinx
Paizo Number: 139218
Character Number: 23
Faction: Sovereign Court
Day Job Check: NA

Gareleth will still be ridiculous regardless of the theme, so I'm good with either :=)
Oh, and he's level 2 now, so he'll be doing some spellstriking :=)

The Concordance

I wouldn't mind jumping in.

Level 2 aquatic elf warpriest who has never been played before (just a few odds and ends credits tossed that way on occasion)... so I might need to do some last minute tinkering =)

Grand Lodge

wish this was an evergreen...already played it...

Welcome all!

Here's the list so far:

1) Yuzu Fokkusupo: kitsune samurai 2
2) Andrelis Lethian: elf rogue (scout) 2
3) Licia Calvus: human cleric (divine paragon) 1
4) Gareleth Jarvinx: half-orc magus (kensai) 2
5) Nereus Avitae: aquatic elf warpriest 2

Have room for one more! Will post on the recruitment forums in about an hour.

If I can find other people interested, I might be able to run both a Core game and a non-Core game.

I'm level 1 FYI

Oops, thanks!

I have a level 4 cleric or level 2 monk if you guys need another player; PM me if that's the case.

Welcome to the group! Looks like everyone is level 1 or 2 so your monk is probably more appropriate.

If everyone can dot in the Gameplay tab and fill in the info that be great. Before we start, we should talk about how we want to play this game. Please see the Discussion tab for more info.

Looks like I missed it but if someone ends up dropping, this sounds like it is right up my Leshy Spiritualists alley.

I could run another table of it if enough people are interested.

Grand Lodge

I would be up for a CORE table :-)

Dark Archive

1-2 spooky adventure? Sounds like the perfect place for my aspiring Mystic Theurge/"True Necromancer" to make his long-awaited debut!

Paizo Number: 40025
Character Number: 24
Faction: Dark Archive
Day Job Check: Craft (Bookbinding), Faction Pin: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Horror or lighthearted, you ask? Why not both???

Looks like I'm going on a spur of the moment backpacking trip. Will upload a brief intro. The six people in (Yuzu, Andrelis, Licia, Gareleth, Nereus, Tessara) can feel free to introduce themselves in the Gameplay tab.

For the others, if theres enough people, I'll make a second table when I'm back.

Have a fantastic trip!!

If you're still doing the Core table in low tier, Nightkit would be interested.

Grand Lodge

i'm down for low tier core if available!

Scarab Sages

Can't do CORE.

Grand Lodge

I have a couple core characters that would be happy to fill out a table...

Liberty's Edge

Hello do you still have space? I have 2 lvl 1 chars, a cleric and a Sorcerer.

Core:

-Elneth
-Cayden Barleybrew
-Nightkit
-grimdog73
-PJP

Non-Core

-Motueka Moondrinker
-Samedi Maitreya

@soulnova, are you looking for a Core or a non-Core game?

Looks like theres a lot of interest in a Core game! I'll set up a Core table later today. Sadly, I don't think I can handle GM'ing three games right now. If that changes, Motueka and Samedi will be first in line.

For the five people who wanted a Core game, here is the game link! Feel free to dot in, introduce your character, and fill out the stuff on the Discussion page. We may be able to recruit one more person, depending if soulnova wants a Core game or not. Will shoot out a PM to each if I don't hear back from you by tomorrow.

Liberty's Edge

I have a question, what's the difference between a core and a non-core game?

All your questions can be answered in this document.

In short, Core games are restricted to the classes found in the Core rulebook. Non-core games allow pretty much all the classes found in the rest of the 1st edition Pathinder books, provided they have not been banned in the Additional Resources webpage.

Liberty's Edge

I think both of them are Non-Core because they have one trait from Ultimate Campaign (seeker). I would have to play non-core.

Liberty's Edge

I would use this one

Player Name: Soulnova
Character Name: Lanel Brandain (Human Sorcerer 1)
Paizo Number: 29065
Character Number: 2
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Day Job Check: Take 10+9 = 19

Tessara Thundersteel wrote:

Are Archetypes of those classes permitted? What about non-Core feats/spells/items/alternate racial features?

If there were some leeway in that, I might be tempted to try CORE.

Scarab Sages

No, they are not unless you find them in a chronicle. Find here a summary of the rules.

Core is intended for those that are just starting with the game and would otherwise feel overwhelmed by the tones of options of the full campaign (hell's teeth, that 500 pages "basic" book is already overwhelming for someone new to roleplaying), as well as people who does not have or do not want to invest the time to go through bloated lists of options, or for people who prefer to focus on the roleplaying aspects and do not want the stats building to distract from it. Well, and there is that other group that has played all the scenarios already and want to have an opportunity to play them again for credit :D

If you already have mastery in the system, are ok with the many diverse options that can sit together in a table and still find scenarios you have not played without problem, you are probably better sticking with the Classic campaign.

Scarab Sages

I feel like "Semi-Core" would be nice; like if they permitted the Core Rulebook AND the Advanced Player's Guide, maybe also with Archetypes/spells/feats (but not classes) allowed from Ultimate Magic/Ultimate Combat, and alternative racial features/FCBs (core races only) from the Advanced Race Guide and Horror Adventures.

Grand Lodge

hey. i got accepted to another core game...so i'll give up my spot....

Liberty's Edge

Alright! Put me down with Motueka and Samedi for a non-core game if possible.

Sovereign Court

If your Core game needs another player, I'll fill a spot to help make the table go off.

Grand Lodge

Still need to add some crunch on the actual character entry on the site, but she's a Core sorceress with the abyssal bloodline (so a Core-legal Tiefling, essentially, but technically just a human) who specializes in melee combat.

This would be the aforementioned character Gareleth's player would bring to the Core party.

Lili, you are more than welcome to join the Core party. Here is the link in case you need it again.

Also, good news! Motueka Moondrinker, Samedi Maitreya, and soulnova, I decided to do a third table! Here is the link to that game. Would be great if we could find one more person to join. Will shoot you all an PM in a bit if I don't hear from you.

Scarab Sages

I'd be interested in joining with this character, just need to put my paper sheet into my Profile when I get home this evening:

Player Name: WalkerOhmsford
Character Name: Edric of Greengold (Elf Alchemist 2)
Paizo Number: 73420
Character Number: 2
Faction: Scarab Sages
Day Job:

If you need one more to fill the core table, I can run my lvl 1 monk. But I'd rather leave it for someone else, but I'm happy to fill a spot if it gets it up and running.

The game is actually already started and the party is just in the introductions stages, just FYI.

Totally GM's call, not mine, but we're one shy of a full table, so I'd suggest making sure the character's ready to go just in case :=)

Still waiting to hear back from one more person. Feel free to dot in if you'd like!

Okay sure!
