As long as we're not taking a 10 minute rest, I'll have Communal Bond active for a few more minutes, and Pokey isn't much good as a shot, but I can pretty consistantly land a Harrying Fire for +3 to hit bonus to you.

I was mentioned.
HOPEFULLY, I'll be getting the full treatment on their "Presenting" show in the near future. Of course I'll be on to talk about the Academy at GenCon (and also perhaps touching on my work at the library).
I don't know. Maybe in the next month or so. I need to get John Godek a biography and details about the Academy.

I was mentioned.
Your name was said 3 or 4 times and you were referred to as a listener of the show - that's a shout out in my books ;)
Gen Con is a long way away for me, so looking forward to any content about Academy / RPG with kids that comes up.
I hope that everything falls into place for you.

Sorry guys. Starting last weekend I had bad travel, bad work on a customer's site. And bad travel home. I've got to focus on catching up at home this weekend. I think things went worse for my wife with our sick dog. Look for a post Monday.
Taken it easy, Thom. No problem at all. I hope it's a smooth return to equilibrium for you all.

GM Quirk |

Also, sorry everyone. I'll have a post in soon. We have been without internet all weekend. Running this off of my phone's hotspot right now. My data has dwindled to nothing, so this is running very slow.
Tech will be out tomorrow. This is probably from the fiber line they left unburied in my yard for several weeks now. I bet it's damaged.

GM Quirk |

Howdy gang! Have you missed me? :)
I have been dealing with exhausting situations regarding my Father's health. I don't mind saying it has taken a lot out of me.
The good news is that I'll be taking a nice vacation beginning this weekend.
I believe we'll be able to resume things on or around July 8th.

Greetings all!
Rumors of my demise are far too premature. I mean...OF COURSE I'm fine!
Life has a way piling both the good and the bad. I apologize that this game (and one other) became casualties.
We're going to have to think of a way to salvage this. This is a good group, including several of you I have been gaming with for at least a few years now!
I'm going to have to consider some sort of pivot to make this a little easier on me.
Let's start with a roll call.
Who's still paying attention? :)

I have to guess that Pokotho will not be back with us. He hadn't posted for quite sometime even before the summer.
That leaves the characters John, Dr. Flint-Bridge, T'sorkel, and Rar'gul. That's a terrific core to make this game rise from the dead.
The sad part is that I think I'm going to shut down the Aeon Throne game. I need to give my best to fewer games, and not my "meh" to more games.
I'm going to invite the players there to join this game. At least two of you are already in that game. I'll need to figure out who's left.
My summer has been both stressful and enjoyable. My Dad is moving to an "independent living" home within the month. I have continued to be busy with my Tuesday night Dungeons and Dragons at the library. We're getting 25 kids a week there and running three tables. I attended Gencon, and once again ran the "Academy" for Paizo. We offered Starfinder and Pathfinder for dozens of kids and families. Janosian and I have recently started a SF2E in-person game. I'm running Cosmic Birthday for our group of local friends. To top it all off, I've recently begun taking guitar lessons after not picking up my instrument in 10 years!
More on our actual game later.

Yes, a great omen with that starting roll!
From memory, we got stuck in single file in that corridor and John bore the brunt of the attacks.
Rar'gul has barely broken a sweat (still in significant SP) and is ready to rock 'n roll. Feel free to slip back a little, he has them all within his reach and can take the heat for a while.

GM Quirk |

I'm a player from GM Quirk's other Starfinder game. He invited me to join this one. Does the group need any role in combat filled? Are there any skills that need covering?
Welcome, Yoro! Let me get my feet under me, then offer some guidance and background on the "story so far" to you. Feel free to read anything in gameplay.

Hey, tomtesserae, welcome aboard the Paranoia Express. We've got a nice spread of classes. If Pokotho's gone then maybe we lack a good pilot. Our skills are pretty utilitarian, we have lot of 12's and 13's and get by with aid anothers.
Play what you want though. GMQ will make it work.

GM Quirk |

I actually have a few ideas that could slide in quickly story-wise.
Let me pour over the adventure and make some suggestions.
Perhaps a surviving mercenary?
Or one of those androids who tried to ambush you in an earlier encounter.
Also, I'm going to do some meta-gaming here: while your characters may be paranoid of this new character, as players you should know that I don't have any secondary plot that would involve a PC backstabbing any of you. That just doesn't seem like fun.

Seeing this game restart makes me very happy.
And hello, Yoro!! Good to see you again. (Dr. Flint-Bridge pulls down her mask to reveal Thak's face. The brenneri winks, then puts the mask on again.)
:)

GM Quirk |

Yoro, we'll get you going soon.
Let's do this: for your character, think in terms of a mercenary who has just recently escaped from a secret complex on a moon of Bretheda. You probably know who the current cast of characters are. You're trying to escape this harsh moon, and you have luckily come across these guys.
As some of the players have said, be any class you want. There may be a few races I would restrict, but not many. It may be wise to be at least moderately good as a pilot. That's going to be a thing soon.
More on the "story so far" soon.

It's great to be rolling along in the game again. I'd missed it.
Wow, I can't believe I'd forgotten how to play Rar'gul and had to read over his abilities to refresh!
As I did, I was bummed because after all this time, I'd still not been able to use Dampen. All previous effects had been from traps and other out of combat encounters which meant he didn't have any EP to be able to activate it.
I was thinking it was a bit of a lemon and then next minute (I think) the chance arose to finally use it.
