Thanks, Thom! Looking forward to it. I haven't played any of those parts of the arc, except the special finale.

Janosian, I'm actually hoping to dust off one of my non-SFS characters that has sadly been left adventureless, if they'll fit (coincidentally, both happen to be pahtras):

Locket, formerly from GMQ's Absalom adventure and Junker's Delight (soldier, Qi Adept - whose alternate class/species options are all now SFS legal, I just discovered yesterday!) or

Reyn, from an abandoned Fly Free or Die campaign I was playing in alongside GMQ (a ranged solarian musician - focusing more on revelations and graviton rather than melee attack and solar)

If neither are suitable, I'm happy to think of something else.

Memories.

Like the corners of my mind.

Misty Watercolor memories.

Of the way we were.

I have awarded Cidribvoot his first bottlecap for a quick-thinking bluff. The rest of you will be able to read this exchange in a few days once you head into the docking bay.

I have moved the slide listing all of our current bottlecaps near the top of the slide deck.

Cidribvoot will want to know what a bottlecap is. Simply put, it's a reward I hand out on occasion for superior roleplaying, great ideas, or sometimes dumb luck (rolling a crit at just the right time, etc.).

You can use a bottlecap to reroll any D20 roll in the game. Spend them wisely.

A bottlecap?! Reminds me of the Glass Cannon Podcast. Thank you, I look forward to using it in some dire situation.

Yes! We have a few GCP fans, here :)

Thanks for the reminder about bottle caps.

I didn't think of it until after the fact, but that missed attack on the reptoid pet before John ran through would have been the ideal time to use a reroll :/

I've been a little under the weather the past couple of nights. Feeling better today. I'll have things back in motion tomorrow (Tuesday) night.

Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Good news that you're starting to feel better.

No problem at all. Take care and no hurry.

Seconded.

Thirrrded (although I feel like that's something Rar'gul would say.)

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

Just a heads up, I'm traveling for a couple days with my wife. Can porbably resume posting Tuesday night. Please bot John as needed.

As per Thom's instructions, I contemplated botting John for him. Then I saw that he draw both cane swords and readied for the door to open in his last post...

I don't want to mess up his actions (or the cool imagery!) by sheathing a sword/drawing his pistol. BUUUUT there's an awful lot of open space there. A double move could get him to some measure of safety behind Rar'gul, but would leave him very much in the thick of things.

I think I'll just let it be.

PS: have a great weekend away Thom!

Decided to skip over John, but just for the moment (he can go as soon as he returns). This way Cidribvoot can make his entrance!

Excellent. How very exciting!

@GM Q -- Just verifying... Lilly's 22 to hit missed the reptoid?

Yes. Dr. Flint-Bridge missed blue, mainly due to the effect of cover.

I will tell you that it was close.

Lilly hates this planet SO MUCH. :)

I suspect John will be back soon to make a post. I'll move along after he has a chance to do this.

Meanwhile, I'm also working on a "story so far" post. I'm overdue to do such a thing, especially Cidribvoot's benefit.

I'll put it gameplay, probably tomorrow.

But you might be now.

Ha! Nice one, GMQ and Thom.

My youngest daughter loves that song, Thom, so we hear it multiple times a week.

Boy oh boy. The dicebot is rolling low for poor Rar'gul the last few rounds (of course, he got max damage on a terrible attack roll...)

That second attack hits though. It might be enough--I'll double check later tonight.

Here's hoping. It's time to finally put Pike down and finish off these reptoids!

I actually didn't look at the map. I should have. We'll just say he used his move action to take a 5' step. I'll adjust the map.

Lilly really hates that guy.

Sorry, GMQ - in my last post I asked about Pike's form after death. I just noticed this further up in gameplay:

GM Quirk wrote:

Under a hail of blows from John and Rar'gul, Pike falls. In a most grotesque manner, he falls into a writing mass of scales, claws and teeth.

Heh heh not sure how I missed that at the time.

You got this, John. Finish him off!

Yay, 7th level!!!

Yay, finding our new/old team member!!

I agree with Janosian on both points!

Alright, Starfinder peeps, help your Shirren memory-mage pick his new feat! All three of these could be fun and are generally in the vibe of T'sorkel. Let me know what you think or if you have experience with them.

*Cosmic Truth: Fun with memory horrors, but requires me to dump a huge investment into Bluff (currently 1 Rank)
*Helpful Telepath: Potentially useful every round of combat
*Enhanced Communalism: Up to 7 free rerolls per day! I haven't really been using my RP much to this point. Harder to use in PbP format.

We do need a better system for communalism. Maybe a set of situations where it would be used if it's available. We'd especially need this if you add this feat.

identify Narla Yalamis, Shez Daiasha, and Orvir Pike, but no one else with certainty. Narla and Shez had been serving at the Steward station on Roselight on Liavara before being assigned to Tyrkalis Base. It’s clear from these reports that reptoids have infiltrated Roselight. However, some of these reptoid agents are no longer communicating with superiors
or have gone missing.

Narla also gave a full briefing on all of you to unnamed superiors, passing along their pictures, their personal information, and video of them fighting aboard the Voidcrier and in Tyrkalis Base.
Unfortunately, similar information, doctored for the audience,
has been transmitted to the Stewards on Roselight. This
“evidence” makes you look like terrorists who attacked
Steward facilities, implicating them in the destruction of Tyrkalis
Base. This transmission looks like it comes from an anonymous
broadcaster aboard the Voidcrier.

I'm going to go back and look at Cidribvoot's spoilers and see what fun is going on behind them.

You are absolutely correct - I could see any of these three fitting T'sorkel!

Cosmic Truth would be right in his wheelhouse for regard to accessing memories. The Bluff investment as well as the will save (I imagine would currently be somewhere around DC17?) on top of spending an RP give me pause.

Helpful Telepath aligns well with how you've already been playing T'sorkel in a supportive ranged role. Advantage/disadvantage (sorry for mashing terms from another system) are always great to have!

Communalism is handy - I have a shirren soldier played in SFS that I have used it with. Fun thematically for role-play, too. You're right, it might be trickier to use the Enhanced version in PbP. It would require some further thought/experimentation.

I'd vote for either the second or third options.

FYI - in case it affects anyone's decisions during levelling up, Rar'gul will be investing another point in Culture in an effort to improve his understanding of the Reptoid language.

I think T'sorkel is done leveling up. He also took Reptoid for his language with a point of Culture.

I took Enhanced Communalism for my feat choice. I like Helpful Telepath, but then I found the spell Empathic Support, which basically lets you do the same thing for the duration. Might still take Helpful Telepath later.

Wayfinders

Working on Lilly right now. Haven't decided which direction to push her (bio or envoy). I'm leaning toward envoy, but we'll see.

I think it would be a win either way, ET. Awesome.

Good luck, Janosian. Levelling decisions can be tricky enough at times, without having to also take multiple classes into account.

Also, my apologies for misspelling Cidribvoot throughout the entire post.

Got John leveled up. No hard decisions for an operative. Fill my skill slots, and improve combat capability marginally that's John's role. Took a rank of piloting so I can keep an eye on Cidribvoot. It's just what John would do.

ET, I think you went the right way with Enhanced Communalism. Double rolls are awesome. And you can do it up to 8 times because the first one is still free!

Went through Cidribvoot's spoilered posts for fun to see how GMQ tortured him. I remember that scene in V! tomtesserae, is Cidribvoot pronounced with a hard or soft C? (s or k sound)

M Dirindi Soldier 7 SP 56/56 HP 53/53; F +8, R +8, W +7; Init +8; Per +4; Resolve 7

I pronounce it with a soft C, but a hard C has a nice sound too. Thanks for asking. I hadn't thought about it.

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

I like the soft C.

YES! Happy Thanksgiving! Today I was in charge of the traditional turkey, and it was a great success!

I'll try to help move things along with a post tomorrow (Friday).

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends (and turkey!).
