Hey, all -- I'm back! I'm so sorry for disappearing.
The last 10 days kicked my butt. Holiday stuff, my youngest had their first car accident (only car damage, plus it was the other person's fault; the perfect 'starter' accident!), unexpected flat tire right before three days of driving... yeah, I'm glad to have the week done.

Hi all! I don't want there to be any worries. I have lots of holiday plans this weekend (and the past week). In fact, doing a little traveling this weekend.

I find it hard sometimes, especially with the sporadic nature of pbp. It is hard to get into a rhythm.

Everyone - Rar'gul's thinking the time for talkin' has passed and it's time to learn 'em a real good lesson! Maybe try to incapacitate the leader to stand them down, or use Cid's nifty observation and bust 'em in the chop(bike)s?

I will try to get everything in order tomorrow night, including both botting Dr. Flint-Bridge and deciding the best way to handle T'sorkel's readied action from earlier.

Howdy all!
I just want you all to know that I'm dealing with a few things right now.
First, the Maker Lab at the library where I work is currently moving down the hall to a larger space. This means working some strange hours for me assembling new 3D printers and laser cutters, moving furniture, and training with all of these new toys. I'm doing this all while still scheduling two cable TV stations (community TV is my main role at the library). Grand opening is two weeks out, though we are hoping for a soft opening next week.
I'm also getting ready for a game convention next week. Winter Fantasy takes place in my hometown. I'm running games and doing a seminar.
All of this is happening as my Dad's health declines. He is getting very good care, but he is at the end. It's not a surprise, and due to a myriad of health concerns it's time. Family and nursing staff are there for him daily.
I think the practicality of this is that we see about finally getting a post from me this weekend. That will keep things moving. Depending on how things go, I will attempt to continue temporarily with a slow schedule of posts for a few weeks.

A slow schedule, if not hiatus, is understandable.

The prodigal halfling has returned. :)
Yeah, it's been a helluva couple months. Between job and family and life, December and most of January were cluster copulations. (True story... we forgot to put up the Christmas tree this year or get out our fun holiday dish set. That's how insane it was.)
I missed all of you, I missed our adventures, and I missed playing my slightly unstable halfling. I'm so very sorry for ghosting y'all after my last post on 12/8.
I hit a weird emotional wall... and I broke. I don't have a better way to say it. I just broke.
It took weeks, but things finally settled down. Along the way, I got some help to put my 'me' back together, too. Things are still crazy-busy, but it's a fun-crazy-busy not an emotionally dark one with ominous organ music and occasional crackles of sinister laughter.
All that is to say that when GM Q is ready to keep us moving forward, Lilly's ready too.

Thank you therealthom! I'm sure a better solution was possible, but I couldn't think of one in the time I had.
A note on Rar'gul's anecdote: funny story - I went to high school with a girl that would remove the battery lead (the cable, not the mineral) from her car and put it in her hand bag so that no one could steal her car while she left it parked somewhere.
I knew a guy who removed his distributor wires for the same reason. And another who had rigged a valve on his gas line. His truck would run for only a minute or two unless you stepped on a button hidden under the floor mat.
That's too funny! Actually, now that you mention it, I remember that the previous owner of the first car I bought had installed a killswitch in the fuel line. I was a little taller than he was and would occasionally bump it woth my foot getting in/oit of the vehicle and then wonder why the car wouldn't start.
A nice idea, Thom! It might behoove us not to go around looking like the ragtag bunch of misfits that we are.
Along your line of thinking, Rar'gul has various outfits (everyday, formal) as well as ceremonial raiment.
