Ineed. I like PF2, still learning though...and do enjoy the PFS. reminded me very much of old AD&D where things were a bit faster paced and seemed more fluid

That was fun!

Thanks so much Logsig for GMing (and Numbat for putting this together). I really love the details you brought into each scene and situation. (I thought you did a wonderful job of articulating the different personalities of the factions leaders during the party in particular)

Had alot of fun playing with all you folks too!

I learned alot about the flow of PBP. I also realized I need to work a bit on my prose and writing style. xD

Look forward to gaming with you all one way or another soon!

Wait! Can I use my Halfling Luck feat to reroll for that dance?

Sadly, activated fortune effects to re-roll checks don't work on downtime activities so I'll take your first roll.

Some downtime activities require rolls, typically skill checks. Because these rolls represent the culmination of a series of tasks over a long period, players can’t use most abilities or spells that manipulate die rolls, such as activating a magic item to gain a bonus or casting a fortune spell to roll twice. Constant benefits still apply, though, so someone might invest a magic item that gives them a bonus without requiring activation.

You have succeeded excellently in your primary and secondary objectives for this scenario. Your chronicles can be downloaded here (link will expire in 1 week) and the session will be reported for Outpost III PbP Gameday.

Thank you for playing with me! Feel free to PM me here on the forums or on Discord (logsig#4155) if you have any feedback or to just say hi.

Many thanks to GM Numbat for setting up this great project. I hope you'll all have fun continuing to PbP!

The pacing seemed a bit fast compared to other games that I'm part of.
Is that normal for PFS games?
I recall in person PFS games being wrapped up quickly since time is a finite resource, but had hopes this format would have allowed for more RP options.

It really depends on the game, the group, and the situation.

In this case, we want to make sure you have your characters available for PaizoCon Online and we (the GMs) are all involved in that convention and need to be moving our attention there. Plus, the reporting form for this convention will go away shortly, so even if not finished the game needs to be reported.

I have had one game that took five days to go from stating which door someone was heading to until they actually made it to the room in question, plenty of role-playing during those days.

Some GMs are known for fast-paced games though that doesn't preclude lots of RP, it just means everyone has committed to multiple posts per day.

The only time that I know for certain there will be some time pressure is during Multi-Table Specials. The entire group of tables is on a timer. There is still more opportunity for flavour and RP than there is during Face-to-Face MTS (which almost always feel rushed and chaotic to me).

Try some PFS PbP outside of a convention. Look at what GMs post about their style and/or ask questions during the recruitment phase to discover if it will likely be a good fit for you.

Happy gaming, whatever form it takes.

Ahhhh... This was part of a convention? Did not realize that. :/
I did jump into this on recommendation of another internet stranger GraySquid at the last minute.

I will definitely continue to play PbP since it's the easiest way for me to scratch my RPG itch while still maintaining a good work/family/gaming balance.

Now to go read up on how to use the boons again.... it's been a while since I used them
