That's what I was thinking Cori.
About loot, I took the masterwork thieves tools. I give back the 2x daggers, as I already have 2.

I wonder if there is a thickness limit. I would assume it can make a window where a window makes sense. But what if you put it on the side of a mountain. Do you expect it extend through the mountain? The tower wall is 1-3 feet thick at a guess. The curtain wall may be 10s of feet thick, especially at the base.

I'll feel bad to leave Grumble behind =(
But I get it, as it may be the best way out.

Arielle Windsong |

Heal Gumble up, but cover him in some dead guards' blood to make him look really injured and let him run at the guard house to get their attention while we're wearing guard cloaks and "trying" to recapture him and then strike at the real guards in surprise?
Or use the window and tell Grumble he is on his own.

Stanislav Greymist |

Your plan A, but we might use that window to breech the guard tower if they have it barred to us.
We want Grumble on our team long term if we can manage it.
I think a little recon is required to further formulate a plan.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

Well the battle is on. Guess the best is to kill the guard with us (remember we are evil, and means getting rid of any potential threat), and then rush Backerly and the drunk guards before the crossbow men can really get in position. Try to push pass Backerly to use them as shields and under cover of gate house against the crossbow men.
Now that the alarm is raised, we got to get through the gate before the wizard comes along.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

I am the last one to do any action of the round, so by the time the round gets to me the battle field will be rather differently. So effectively I just done my action before the guards go.
The map still needs to be updated from previous round, as on map I still inside building.

I really want to continue to play this game. Everyone here made a commitment to the game. Please try to post and save this game.

Everyone still here?

Everyone still here?
You sort of changed the url with the text...

DireMerc |

Well nobody was posting and things were being rather frustrating in my other game as well and I just sorta gave up and stepped away. To be honest I didn't expect to find any new post here at all when I checked today.
If you willing to try and continue I'd be willing to give it a go.
Last I checked I did the enemies turn and then Stanis and Cori acted and then I was waiting for the other 4 slid eventually did post but still waiting on the other 3. Assuming Arielle is gone and who was the other person? I could swear there were six of you. Hmm seems one of the people I approved never even posted at all.
Well the game was original designed for 4 people so this works I guess and less people means less time for combat to proceed. I really should start limiting my games to 4 players instead of six would probably help solve my issue of all my games losing momentum and just stalling out and people (including me) just losing interest in the game altogether.

Well, there is that thing: PC that becomes 'brave' NPC. In an evil party it works particularly well. I think a skeleton crew might work.
To be honest with you, everything was very exciting for me. I got a little bit turned off when the large amount of planning we were doing to deal with the captain sort of went ignored and a straight "trench" combat began. But the whole prison break thing was keeping me pumped!
Between, myself, Cori, Stanislav and Vinnick, we have most of the party roles covered, except for a full divine caster. We might do well without them.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

I am still here. I was just refreshing DireMerc's posts page for any posts for both his games.
Still need an updated map showing where everyone is after the previous round. I have no idea where little kobold is positioned. Grumble occupies 4 squares, and there is very limited space outside.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

Before I do my post, I have 2 options, though wonder how you feel about this option.
I do a obscuring drop, that is centred on R'yzzntyg radiating out 20 feet, and 20 feet high. This will mess up the archers on the walls big time, but will come at concealment miss chance of 20% for foes 5 feet away, and 50% at 10 or more feet away.
My alternative option is to use cure light wounds on any that are getting damaged. If no damage she will hold, using the three as concealment from the archers.
Both options, would have her move up 5 feet behind Stan, so to provide healing to all three, or have mist more outside.

The mist sounds a little moot, since we're in melee already.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

Thanx for reply Slid.
That is why I posted the idea for your opinions. Tomorrow morning I will do post from feedback I get during the night.

TBH, looking at your sheet, I'm not sure what you could do. You could throw that oil to get an area attack.
Also, I see 2 guards coming in on the walls, so maybe that obscuring mist will come at handy soon.

Stanislav Greymist |

Obscuring mist might work out but it will remove my AOOs from reach and even prevent me from attacking with my favored weapon as I will not be able to see 10'.

Stanislav Greymist |

Agreed. If arrows begin to hurt us then by all means, obscure us. We are armored and in melee (-4 to hit unless they have Precise Shot). So I hope that we will not be shot up too much. Time may prove me wrong.
Right now I can take AOOs against men and dogs as they approach. a mist removes that from me.

![]() |

He only has 1 CLW, though. He can cast the Mist up to 20ft away, but the guards may just walk away from it.

Coriandrinne "Cori" Vespida |

Casting the mist along the Eastern wall, rather than on the group/melee, would make the archers unable to see anything to shoot at. The ones on the Northwest wall are already in a bad position to shoot.
That might actually help more than one CLW spell would, on reconsideration.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

I taken into account Stan's comments, and that the centre of the mist is on her, where the mist originates. If the archers becomes an issue she will cast the mist.

R'yzzntyg Valignatirnarod |

R'yzzntyg is the last one of the party to go (had the worse initiative), thus you can can do some actions before she does hers.
Looking at the situation, I am thinking of moving to the centre between the building and gate house, and cast mist to engulf area in mist. This will stop the crossbowmen on the walls, while we break through the gate house. Next round we charge the gate house door and push in. We got 6 rounds to push in, though I think we could do it in 2 rounds to over come Backerley and the guard. She would be out of healing spells at this point.
If I am not mistaken it is still night time.

Stanislav Greymist |

Sounds good. Crossbows are now the big threat I think. We can use the window to get in if we need to.

Stanislav Greymist |

All my games have gone virtual. I am running one and in two others. But I miss the table top.
