The rope is old but good enough for one person to climb. Two however might be pushing it.
seems to be a theme in this scenario

Skilgannon nods at Darvrn's assessment of the situation, having come to a similar conclusion himself. Loosening the wicked spear from his back, the Gladiator rolls ir around his torso to grasp it properly. Satisfied that he is prepared he turns to Durland.
"With the light I can see fairly well, I would suggest either someone with a light or who is unhindered by darkness to travel at the head. If needs be, I shall go first. Either way we should bot tarry ocer long."

The tower lacks any windows and any torches that once adorned its sconces have long been lost or ruined, so the PCs need to provide their own light sources in the otherwise pitch-black tower. The rooms’ ceilings are 20 feet high, and though the tower has retained much of its structural integrity, the inside is covered in barnacles and seaweed.
The angle at which the tower is tilted would normally make it difficult to move around in, but the coral- and barnacle-encrusted floors provide enough traction that creatures can move at their full speeds on the dry parts of the floor. Most of the spaces covered in water are treated as difficult terrain, but the water level in the southernmost chamber (where the greenskinned creature is) is about 4 feet deep; for the purposes of tactical movement, treat the water in that room as a deep bog bogs

"A much better experience after that blasted Haunt," he mutters darkly. "Good to get my blade into flesh. Now let us find that Ghoul."

(sorry I thought I had posted the following yesterday)
Scattered bones and equipment lie strewn about this chamber’s floor. A wayfinder hangs from a corroded chain around the neck of one skeleton which grasps a golden amulet. Nearby an everburning torch flickers picking out the jewels on the scabbard of a longsword. Another skeleton with a tian pectoral (a flat amulet that lies on the chest) lies on the floor while a third is almost bereft of gear its ribs broken. Beyond these grim remnants, a brightly-colored mosaic covers the chamber’s back wall, largely free of the barnacles and deposits covering the other surfaces in the area. The mosaic depicts a group of wizardly figures gathered around a larger figure clad in robes of black and white.
Darven Kinock |
Darven approaches the wayfinder and collects it. He looks for a name inscribed on it. "Some one at the lodge may be able to get this back to loved ones"
He looks towards the mosaic, but does not recognize anything of importance but notices the recess.

Durlan casts his spell at on of the other skeletons. It stays stock still however as Darven removes the wayfinder that skeleton falls over. The wayfinder is inscribed Dalian
Skilgannons keen eyes spot everything including a still sealed ivory map case. The cold iron material thet foms Dalians sword. The torch that still burns and the amulet that Dalian was clutching that part matches the amulet on the mural. However some bits are missing from the one Dalian held.
There are a few bits of parchment dated just over a year ago with Dalians notes.
We had hopes of repairing Beldrins amulet and unlocking the secrets it holds. We were attacked by some awful creatures as we made our way through the crack at low tide the area was only 3 feet deep in water. We climbed up to the floor above and we were attacked by a moving statue. Damm cleric of Sarenrae wanted to get pieces of rubble as it fell off for Master Amenopheus and got royally clobbered for his trouble. It proved far too tough for my sword and we made a strategic retreat. the cleric got left behind. We got back down here and Ejiekito wanted to explore this area to prove some damm point about her poppycock theory on what Beldrins amulet did. (He draws a couple of pictures giving his idea of what the other bits look like to complete it). Finally persuaded her we should go get help but the tide had risen and more of those damm creatures were in the exit. Murtagh went limp in the water. I got him out with Ejiekitos help but she fell over from her wounds. Now must rest here the night and hope to get out in the morning. Hope it doesnt get any colder down here.

"Master Smine told me of this, there were a group of Pathfinders who nicknamed themselves 'Delvers' and were led by a Dalian. They haven't been heard from in a year or so, this must be why. Their decomposition shows this to be the case."
Getting to his feet Skilgannon collects his weapon and nods grimly.

Stone shelves once crowded this chamber, but most have broken loose and lie in crumbled fragments on the oor. Desks, easels, and ruined books litter the oor, and patches of algae grow on the walls and floor. Akter finds traces that something came this way. And rubble jams up a narrow crack. There are also the half eaten remains of some prawn like creatures about the size of a house cat. Some snags of pale blue thread indicate the ghoul was still wearing Ahmunets robes when he came this way..

Tatiana hearing of the 'Delver' 's fate, says In this case, it is our duty to move their rest to the Grand Lodge once we will finish what we came for.
For now, a short prayer to Pharasma will suffice.
She stays silent for 1 minute, praying to Pharasma for the rest of their soul.

Skilgannon surveys the scene of carnage before them with a grimace, the creature's hunger grew apparently, though he was unsure what the remains belonged too. Shrugging his broad shoulders he pointed back to the first chamber and the dangling rope with his spear.
