In the meantime, we have tokens! Feel free to update the pictures if you have a better image, but please don't delete any tokens (use the 'Replace Image' option from right-clicking a token).
To Use:
- Copy the map you need over to your own slides
- Copy the tokens for your encounter and tier over to the map
- - (Dashed outlines are for Champion-only opponents)
- Resize tokens as needed
- ???
- Profit!
Do we want to pin the tokens file as well?

Yes, you can play in an adjacent subtier in specials.

For the GMs who (like me) are still figuring out their table's Aid characters, feel free to make a copy of this spreadsheet and have your players fill it out. It even comes with automatically-adjusting pretty colors so you can make sure everyone's placed all their Aid characters and no role is overloaded. Woo!
Just be sure to make a copy so the tables don't overwrite each other's stuff.

Again, please be sure to click File -> Make a Copy of this spreadsheet before customizing that copy for your table.

Question about starting this:
On page 8, the scenario says "As mustering begins, the Overseer GM, speaking as Master of Swords Marcos Farabellus, should read the following."
Is this still valid in this format, or should the individual GMs instead be the ones to read that?
Given the last online special I played, I suspect it's valid, but want to confirm.

As per this post, when passing aid tokens we're supposed to post both here and in the receiving table's discussion thread. Is there a good list of discussion threads, or do we need to go to the signup spreadsheet and grab the link from there?
Any updates on whether wounded-in-an-aid-mission characters can be fixed with gold instead of prestige (see this post)?

GM Cwethan |

Folk who have run this before: Is there any guidance on the downtime between different sections or in between additional encounters?

What I'm seeing:
Part 1 - "A tense but brief journey" at the end of part 1.
Part 2 - "Roughtly halfway through the twisted jungle" to the first Gallowgarden encounter, but no indication of how far that really is.
Part 3 - 10 or 20 minutes to the bottom of the crater at the beginning (depending on the Climb check.)
Area B2 - "a few minutes" to study the wards. "10 minutes worth of work" to smash the walls.
The Black Caverns - "several hours" to get to the first encounter in area D1.
The Pillar - "what seems like hours" to get to the first encounter in area E.
It would be helpful to know the size of the Gallowgarden, and how long it takes to get to the first encounter from the edge. I'm guessing some parties will buff up as soon as they set foot inside, for good reason. Even if they don't, it's presumably just as far between the first encounter and the edge of the crater.

I'll post that in all your tables (using my MoSw Marcos Farabellus alias, for tables on this site).

There will be a list. I haven't gotten around to putting it together yet, but I will post a list of links at the top of the recruitment tab (which is where you should post aid token passes, rather than in this thread).
Any updates on whether wounded-in-an-aid-mission characters can be fixed with gold instead of prestige (see this post)?
I haven't been able to get an update on that. For now I would assume prestige only.

Anybody have a great graphic for the Aid Tokens themselves?
I'd like to have something graphic, including the Aid PC's name, role, and space for his or her portrait.
Something like a business card or coaster, perhaps, with those features.

GM Brew |

Hello quick question. Are PCs required to designate aid characters? If a PC has available aid characters in level range, can they opt to use generic 4th levels instead? The mod states:
"If a player does not have 3 Aid Characters available, she can fill any remaining slots with generic 4th-level NPC Pathfinders of any role. These 4th-level NPCs are less likely to succeed than PC Aid Characters at all tasks, but they give all players a way to participate in this scenario’s mechanics."
I may be overthinking this, but the text seems to suggest that the generic option is only available if no aid characters are available. Can my PCs swap out for generics?

The Aid Character section on Page 6 says "can designate" — it seems using aid characters are optional. Options that put a player's PC at risk of death should always be opt-in.

They are allowed to choose whether they want to use their own characters or generics, with the understanding that the chances of success with a level 4 pregen are very slim, and that the fate of all the aid characters across the whole house depend on how many total successes the house gets on those missions.

That's a fun idea, but I think it might get unwieldy in Play-By-Post. You'd have to save a copy of it for each aid token generated by each player, and then link the correct ones to the destination of each aid token. Go for it, if you'd like to do that, but please include plain text (I'm going to post an example in the Recruitment thread) when you post in the recipient's table, for their convenience in using it.

...speaking of which, I've created the Recruitment thread! We will use it to pass aid tokens, and I'm in the process of posting resources and instructions for doing so. I've also linked a copy of the Aid Token Benefits handout at the top of the page. Feel free to re-link on your game, if you'd like.

^I've added copy/paste-able versions of the text to slides in that same link.

Do we have a fixed number of days set for how long each part will run?
Also, its the 30th here...:)
I'll get the schedule posted tonight, and begin posting intro text shortly.

You should now all have an introductory post from Marcos Farabellus. Let me know if I somehow missed your table.

Hi all,
My table (on Discord) had a player drop. Too much family commitment to play, right now, so the Discord Table is down to 4 players. Because there's no adjustment, I'd prefer to get those seats filled.
So, if anyone knows anyone with a lvl 10-11 that wants to play, even if it means jumping quickly onto a new platform, we could use it before we get too far into the game.

GM Doug H |

I have a level 11 phantom blade spiritualist who could jump in if you can wait until a bit later today.
I signed up on the sheet but if you end up preferring someone else feel free to remove me.

Here's a BBCode template of the token post, in case anyone wants:
https://gist.github.com/doughahn/6c8b70ca0f81f66cd48ae16f06d525d4
My table has 8 heroic tokens, it seems like a good strategy to unload 2 per primary encounter, correct?
I'm also coordinating with my PCs in an OOC channel about tokens. Is it OK to post here ahead of time as to where we want tokens to go? I think it might be useful so that we can get a good spread for the whole house.

![]() |

GMs, now that Part 1 has ended, your table may distribute 1 aid token (total for the table, not per player). If that token is heroic, you may distribute a second (non-heroic) token as well. Please post your tokens in the discussion thread of the receiving table, and in the Recruitment tab of this page (there is a template in that tab).

![]() |

I should mention as well: I haven't forgotten about reporting. I'll get the reporting sheet created and posted tonight.

(Bold mine)
Page 7 says,
If the token they give is heroic, they can give out a second standard or heroic token as well.
I distributed 2 heroic tokens. Do I need to change that?
We have 8 tokens, so I was thinking a good strategy would be to distribute 2 heroic tokens after each of the four parts' primary events.
Good to know they can go to different tables, we'll do that next time.

Nope, you're right. Sorry about that, I must have misread it/misremembered. Thanks Doug!

Please use THIS FORM to report success (also linked above). I'll follow up with a dashboard of success progress later this week.

GM Doug H |

We have one success already; those enemies were totally outclassed by my Champion group.

::shifts guiltily::
My champs have put one on the board as well o_o

GM Doug H |

Second Gallowgarden success reported; several PCs knew Grenir and we have a couple diplomancers in the group.

![]() |

Looking at the reporting sheet I see two successes for Doug, and two for Cwethan. Am I right in seeing one of Cwethan's actually belongs to Brew (one each for each of you)? No need to change anything on your end if so, as we have the right number of successes, I just want to make sure.

GM Cwethan |

Nah, my table has two successes :-)
I'm playing on Doug's table so that's what I was being cheeky/shifty about.

![]() |

Oh, so you have two successes as a GM? In that case, Brew, please make sure to report your success on the sheet linked above. It doesn't seem to have gone through if you did so earlier.
