For 3 weeks the keyboard on my thinkpad acts like the numlock is on and several keys do not work. I cannot restart as the hard drive is encrypted and I do not have a usb keyboard to work it at that point. Tomorrow or Saturday I will get a kick ass Chromebook and a usb keyboard. Thank goodness I did not have to restart this moth.
The chromebook is tricked out, will run android apps natively and linux concurrently. Gonna be fun.

Hey! I don't have to prepare spells ahead of time. I cast them spontaneously like a sorcerer. Don't confuse me. My action stands.

If it is Restoration, then it heals ALL ability damage, so there is no decision to be made.
Three ability damaged character, 3 restorations. If anyone had suffered any Con drain in that encounter, it would have healed all of that as well.
Pretty awesome reward.
As for the CMWs, one will easily top Rhen off and Zeira can have the other 2. I'll roll the 2x2d8s, you can add the caster level portion.

Thanks go to Ranok. He mentioned it. In my multitasking haste I would have surely missed it. So busy over here and that is a good thing. The three of us are really making progress. I will have a few interruptions that I know of this week. Like you, I live in front of this thing.
Speaking of things. I know you are pretty technical. Have you tried out chromeos ? Looked at it? Interested in it? I just bought a tricked out one. Wow. lightweight OS, android natively, and oracle virtualbox for running any OS.
Turns out the research I did on VB was outdated. They got tired of recompiling every time chrome updated the kernel. Recommended dual boot. You can't dual boot on the newer machines as Chrome looks for uefi and will not load if the bios has been tampered with.
Susy-Q cable to defeat the hardware lock. Overwrote the bios and loaded Ubuntu 20.04. Whew, lad. Today it was leaked that Chrome will partner with parallels allowing for vms. That was a no brainer. Went from specialized os to best there is. Or they will by end of year.
The hardware is sweet. Asus FlipC436F. It is as thick as my pixel phone and the screen is 1/2 of that. Ultra light notebook or 14" tablet. The guy that wrote the bios gave me a %95 percent chance of not bricking it. I was the first with this version of hardware. Comet Lake, Helios. I did not roll a 1.

I've never seen a chromeos box that was more than a low end starter machine. Word of mouth on those boxes has been pretty awful as well.
Newer ones have looked better, but it is going to be hard to get past that reputation and get someone to shell out serious money.
I used virtual box once at a previous contract and I can't say I was overly impressed, but that whole project came down to the hubris of developers saying that they had to develop on an OS other than the one the company gave them. Took me a month just to get the OS set up because they hadn't documented their process.
Felt like I was jumping through flaming hoops every day.
Competition is good for the industry, so I hope they start getting some positive reviews and mind share.

I am a little confused about who's turn it is, and I'm afraid I may have gone out of turn.
The mouther tried to maintain grapple, so I thought its turn was over and took my and ziera's actions.
Then the mouther went again before Ranok and Rhen?
I am confused, probably having confused myself, and figured Ranok might be as well.

Here ya go. Ranok is in the hole having been pushed to the bottom by the mouther, who is in the hole with him.
Quicksand
Characters in quicksand must make a DC 10 Swim
check every round to simply tread water in place, or a
DC 15 Swim check to move 5 feet in whatever direction
is desired. If a trapped character fails this check by 5 or
more, he sinks below the surface and begins to drown
whenever he can no longer hold his breath.
Characters below the surface of quicksand may swim
back to the surface with a successful Swim check (DC 15,
+1 per consecutive round of being under the surface).
Pulling out a character trapped in quicksand can be
difficult. A rescuer needs a branch, spear haft, rope, or
similar tool that enables him to reach the victim with one
end of it. Then he must make a DC 15 Strength check to
successfully pull the victim, and the victim must make a
DC 10 Strength check to hold onto the branch, pole, or
rope. If the victim fails to hold on, he must make a DC 15
Swim check immediately to stay above the surface. If both
checks succeed, the victim is pulled 5 feet closer to safety.
I get a -1 when looking at Ranok's swim number. str,armor penalty

On my turn, I plan to thrust my hair into the quicksand to try pulling Ranok out. I think the hair would qualify as "similar tool that enables him to reach the victim".
The flavor of the wording in the above rules implies that the person being rescued is on the surface, but does not specify any different rules if the person is below the surface.
Can I automatically grasp Ranok or would there be some kind of roll?

Ranok is here. The two of us playing two characters is not only difficult, but less enjoyable for me. There is much less role-playing happening. I feel like we are limping to the finish line. Is it expected that it will be just Niu and I playing these four characters for the remainder of the module?

No idea when Rhen will return. He will. He is in like 10 or more campaigns.
I will be glad to bot Rhen. You and Rhen are up iirc. I'll have him do the rogue thing tonight. Always enjoyed being a rogue. First in, lots of action.
Also bumped into some good players on Rhen's campaigns. Recruitment may not be am issue replacing Ziera. Much better when you know the player as opposed to recruiting unknowns.
