I know at least one of you listens to a live play Pathfinder podcast, so I thought I ought to share something I found today. It's a list of all the Pathfinder and Starfinder live play podcasts, completed and ongoing, sorted by AP or module.

I recommend the Glass Cannon (Giant Slayer), Find the Path (Mummys' Mask), and Swiss Army Scorpion (Skulls and Shackles).

Thanks! Very coincidentally, last week I caught up with the Glass Cannon Podcast (I started listening in 2018), so I've been looking around for something else to listen to.

My only real preference is that the audio quality be good. I usually listen during my driving commute with a lot of background noise.

I prefer it to be free - who doesn't - but I'm open to paying if it's good. I'll probably support the GCP on Patreon or buy a bunch of stuff on their store if I can't figure out how Patreon works.

How is audio on Find the Path and Swiss Army Scorpion?

Excellent on both. Slightly better on find the path.

FtP is 3 ladies and two guys, all extremely familiar w the rules (more so than GCP!), and by comparison has more time focused on the game versus banter.

SAS is all guys and incl one guy who is a new player; there is a level of banter comparable to GCP but less off-topic chat. Given the AP (S&S) it is more sandbox vs MM above which is a dungeon crawl.

Or, try the GCP Starfinder pod, Androids and Aliens. It has an addition to the team (Ellie), Troy DMs, and it is hilarious. Better than the Patreon pod, although I would recommend supporting them anyway - they earn it.

The GCP Patreon podcast is my favourite. Skid is a great GM and the way the players are invested in the mystery is great.

I also like that, as a patreon, you can get podcasts of the live shows.

Androids and Aliens, I worried that I wouldn't enjoy an actual play podcast when I didn't know the rules. I shouldn't have worried. It's still fun.

I stopped listening to Giant Slayer when my local group decided to play it. Now that we are past where I stopped, I might pick it up again.

I have listened to (and am almost completely caught up on) critical role as well. I know that it is divisive among well, everyone... but I have enjoyed the full sandbox/anything could happen of a truly home-brewed world.

I have also heard good things about the unexpectables- but I haven't made it over to that podcast just yet.

Ok, lads (and potentially lasses since I don't know how everyone identifies) Gameday VIII and the Hao Jin Cataclysm starts tomorrow and potentially tonight.

It's obvious we're not actually going to complete this one before then so we need to make some decisions. Here are our options as I see them -

1.) Continue on and play both scenarios at the same time until this one is completed (it shouldn't be more than a week.)

2.) Put this one on hold until the Hao Jin Cataclysm ends then pick this one back up.

3.) Abandon this one entirely.

What say you?

My view is either 1) or 3). I'd prefer to continue with this one, since we have put time and thought into it so far, but if we pause then try to pick up again weeks later (option 2), we won't succeed. Either juggle both at the same time or accept this was a filler and drop it.

That having been said, I'll go with whatever the majority decide.

I assume this is close to being done, so I vote to continue!

#1 is fine by me. I don't know how the powers that be would feel about it, but I also don't care a ton about that either ;)

I also vote 1, but am okay with whatever everyone else decides.

My assumption is that this is the last encounter, combat or otherwise. If we're not near the end, I vote 3.

Whenever I meet people (in the U.S.), they still ask me, "Hey do you know so and so Gustafson, he/she has this profession over here or I went to school with them?" Everyone thinks I know every other one and I have to explain that it is kind of like Smith in Sweden because anyone that had the name Gustaf/Gustav and then had a son (and they had lots and lots of kids), then they all were Gustafsons and generally not related to the other Gustafsons.

Just in case we're related, my relatives in the U.S. are all mainly in Iowa or California. The relatives in Sweden are mainly all in Västra Götaland County (south western Sweden): Floby and Falköping area.

Nope. I live in the U.S., currently in Colorado. Next month I'll be in Sweden for a short vacation. I also go to a lot of conferences each year. Like starting tomorrow and going for 9 days, I'll be at CppCon here in Colorado. It's for C++ programmers.
