It seems reasonable that, since you're intending to explore the citadel together for a while, you'd inquire about Alek's skillset.
Sorry, guys; I forgot to put Gellius with you. I left him behind with the Bumblebrashers for your conversation with Pib and Zarf and forgot that the plan was for him to rejoin you and be botted for the exploration.
I have him on the map now and the light on him, and I presume we'll stick with the previous marching order with Alek in place of Revka, unless you'd like him closer to the front to get into melee.
EDIT: I also forgot about Alek's aeon torch (which apparently they're not called that anymore in P2e? They tell you you can have continual flame cast on a dull gray aeon stone, but they don't give you the handy shorthand name for it). Anyway, you have two light sources with the party now.
I'm going to give a bit of time for Mark (or maybe Steve, she adds hopefully?) to post for Gellius; otherwise, I'll bot him and act for the NPC tomorrow.

I am kind of getting back into it but my wife and I are about to go on holiday for a week and a half (it's her birthday). The plan is to be totally offline so I'd rather not start up just for the next two days, to go silent again for another week.
I do appreciate people's patience. At this stage, I'm hoping to be back on Tuesday October 27th. I'd really like to aim for that as a return, if that suits?

Crap! If I'd seen the 12 hp acid damage part of Joana's post initially, there would have been more mental urgency on my part before rolling Darla's saves!
(Not that it would have changed the results for the better; most likely, it would've made them worse.)
ADDENDUM: I wish I could draw/illustrate halfways decent! I'm pretty sure I could turn a drawing of half the party getting engulfed by a gelatinous cube and taking maximum acid damage (and possibly getting paralyzed as well) into some sort of 2020 meme. ;)

We've learned the Reflex saves are stuck on 14, and the d6 is stuck on 6.
I forgot that the cube still had an action left after using 2 on Engulf, so it attacked Alek. Fortunately, he made his save vs paralysis so it didn't invalidate the actions I made for him at the end of round 1.
Engulf says "A creature that gets free ... exits the swallowing monster’s space." I don't see that it necessarily has to be within 5 feet of the creature's previous space. I went ahead and added the inspire courage bonus to Aronida's hits. (The cube is immune to crits and precision damage.)
Steve, since all you had to do this round was roll a Fort save, I rolled for you (and did a better job than last time). If you want up to 2 Recall Knowledge checks for your turn, let me know.

Sorry everyone, dicebot has apparently decided we're all going to die. Five d20 rolls, and the highest result was a 9.
A) I forgot to tell Darla to roll a Fort save vs paralysis after she was hit by the cube last round. Fortunately, I rolled a success for her.
B) I forgot to roll Alek's Fort save at the end of his turn last round, so I did that second.
Gelatinous cubes have a massive pool of hit point but, fortunately, terrible armor class. Gellius, the fact that it was flat-footed against you made your second Strike hit, and the +1 from Darla's inspire courage meant you just hit the Rupture value.
Now that he's out of the cube, Gethric will come out of his paralysis.
It's time to award a hero point! Please nominate a PC for MVP of the gelatinous cube fight; send me a PM telling me who should get the hero point and why. Majority wins, and the GM casts the tie-breaking vote if necessary.
The hero point goes to Gethric for his brush with horrible, oozy death!

I think that is the plan - as far as I recall we've kinda committed to clearing out the majority of the fort before we return as 'heroes'.

Is anyone going to interact with the sarcophagi, or is the party moving on to the next area?
Gellius is pretty much “on guard” and leaving investigation to the others. If it looks like everyone’s done, he’ll move to the front once more.
Unlike in P1e, detect magic is blocked by things like walls and lids in P2e. You'd have to actually open the sarcophagi to see if anything inside is magical, though you could peek into the crack of the broken one if you wanted to in order to sense any auras still inside there.
The holiday season is eating up a lot of my spare time atm. I'll let you decide if you want to sneak a peek in the broken sarcophagus and move the gameplay ahead tomorrow.
The only appearance Iff has made on the forums since bowing out of the game has been to cancel a subscription. Doesn't look like a triumphant return is in the offing, though we can most likely wait until the new year to look for a replacement. Sadly, Ever_Anon doesn't look to have posted anywhere since before Thanksgiving so we might be looking for two new PCs.... :(
I'm good with dealing with the issue of new players after the new year; that'll give Ever_Anon time to reconnect, hopefully.
And now--my bad news. My laptop gave up the ghost on Saturday. I'm using my previous one, which I moved on from because it was painfully slow. Seems OK so far. New one is ordered, but wasn't scheduled to ship until the second week of January (and that was if you didn't customize, and I added some memory and storage capacity). There was an option to get delivery by Christmas for $7 more, so I paid that. Long story short, I have no clue at this time as to when I might get my new machine.
My PF2 PDFs were on my old laptops, plus Discord. I'm trying not to download anything else on this relic, but I have a hard copy of the CRB. I'm pretty sure Ever_Anon is part of a Discord gaming community I'm in, but I don't have Discord on this laptop and don't want to add it for fear it'll be the straw that breaks this laptop's back. I might try one last time to get my broken-down laptop to boot up; if it does, I'll hop on Discord and try to see if Ever_Anon mentioned anything there.
Otherwise, I vote for puttering on through the holidays at a leisurely pace, but would be OK if others want to do a hiatus and reconvene in 2-3 weeks.

Hi everyone.
I'm very sorry for disappearing like that. I've been pretty sick for the past few weeks, and at this point don't expect to start feeling better anytime in the immediate future. Therefore I'm dropping out of all my games. (Which I had unofficially done anyway I guess.)
Again, I'm very sorry I didn't say anything sooner, I just kept hoping things would get better and I'd be able to rejoin. It was great playing with you all, and I wish you the best of luck.
