Hello all,

I am using the recruitment thread to sort out recruitment for my Gameday VIII game. Why am I not using the reglar FCFS sheet you may well ask? Well, for several reasons:

1. This is a tier 12-18 game. We literally cannot have level 12 characters playing alongside level 17 ones as you must all be within one subtier of each other.

2. High level games are complex, I would like to have a chance of seeing what I am dealing with before taking people on.

So, if you are interested in playing then please post here in the Recrutment thread. Please make sure that your character profile is up to date. I will confirm who has a space as soon as I have enough people that looks like a reasonable table. My general preference is to try and keep it to people solidly in one tier. Plese also provide me with your chrinicle information HERE.

Two other things to note. Firstly, for various reasons I plan to use Roll20 for the maps for this game. it will in all other respects work like a regular PbP game but the roll20 table will host handouts, pictures and maps. The reason why will become fairly obvious during the game.

Secondly, I do plan to run Part 2. If you are selected for Part 1 then I am happy to guarantee you a spot in Part 2.

Followed your link, and I see you've already got six folks interested. I'll add info for my level-14 pala-bard.

Re Roll20, I've used it once before, as a player, for Eyes of the Ten.

Cool. That's what I thought, so I moved my entry down to the next section of your sign-up sheet.

I don't think it's technically official until the 12th, because I've already signed up for the 1 slot available to PbP Gameday VIII GMs.

Are you running this at Gen Con? I've attended the last three years, but I'm skipping it this year.

GM signs ups are live as is sign ups for alternate recruitment games.

Sadly I am not at Gencon this year. So far I have run this once online via a regular roll20 group. I have a PbP group just at the start of things and I am running a 17-18 roll20 game of it later this month.

I've put myself down as well, with a level 14 Magus though I've got a 13 Barbarian too if that would be a better fit. Will fill in the rest of the sheet when I have his folder in front of me.

I signed this guy up. Though he is level 18, so I do not expect to get in.

That very much depends on what tier it ends up running in. I currently have two level 14's and two level 18's signed up. I am not averse to running two tables if we hve enough people.

I have also put my name in another recruitment for this series. It might behoove us level 17-18 folks to coordinate together to ensure that we bring little to no lower levels into the high tier (for the danger to the lower level characters. Also for situations of us rolling through things should we end up playing down (9th level spells are quite powerful).

All of the above said, if you do have a level 17-18 char, please contact me and I'll see to coordinating with the GMs who are running this so that they don't have to do extra work for something that doesn't benefit them.

I would like to sign up with this character, I'll be applying another sheet from just wrapping up War for the Crown. I'll have the character updated to level 18 tomorrow.

Also I'll be out of town, and presumably with out internet July 15-18th.

How viable are we looking, GM AndrewW, for a table for players in the levels 12-15 range?

We have 5 sign ups currently with an APL of 16.4 which takes us to high tier with the four player adjust. We still have a month before the Gameday starts but I would run for this table.

It appears that my Magus 14 might not be available during Gameday. I also have a Barbarian 13 and (but she may not be free by then) a Witch 16.

I reached out to a couple of friends who have PCs in the lower subtier. I'll let you know what they say.

I'm not overly opposed to playing down, but will definitely express my concern with level 14's and 15's playing up. Ultimately it is your decision because, as an 18, I have little to lose. In the end I'm in this for the rp fun. I have not gotten to play this character in some time and my goal is rp fun.

I also have a Witch about to be level 16 who I would be happy to bring, but she's currently in a PbP game and I'm not sure when we'll finish.

GM AndrewW had posted earlier that he's willing to consider running both a low- and a high-tier table. I should hear back from a couple of low-tier candidates in the next couple of days.

I would consider it although we have a second Gameday table being offered at a likely low tier as well.

Upon reflection, I'm most interested in playing this at the top tier with Agata, my (about to be) level 16 witch. The problem is that she's currently in a PbP game of Iron Gods that seems to be bogging down. I think we are in the final fight but posting has become very slow so it's quite possible she won't be available by the time Gameday starts.

I can certainly consider delaying the start of this but we still have about a month befoe the start.

I would love to play up (17-18) with my Zen Archer 8/Inquisitor 8. He is tough, does reasonable damage and has fantastic all-around skills.

Flint is currently free and ready to go. May I add him to the sign up list?

It looks like my witch 16 won't be available until October probably so I'm out for the high tier table. My barbarian 13 is available for a low tier table if you decide to do one. I'll update my entry in the spreadsheet.

I have filled in the sign up information and have completed his profile. Hopefully we can start soon.

The Gameday is not due to start until August 26th.

It looks like this table is going to be high tier and it also looks like my witch 16 won't be available until October. There's a couple of seats available at GM Amsheagar's low tier table, so I'll move over there. Thanks for considering me and I look forward to playing at your table another time.

Hi all, unfortunately it looks like this game is not going to fire. We are down to two players and it seems that there are not man high level PCs available for a tier 17-18 game. I will leeve things open until the start of the Gameday but you may want to consider other options.
