Ironshanks drinks a potion as the group rushes through the opening he makes.

Argenta speeds everyone up. Hurrah!

Urias charges forward, but is left wondering how he will get up onto that stone structure. Grog follows Tatiana into the room. She mutters something over the fallen woman.

Tatiana:
You notice what looks like a healing potion on the fallen womans belt.

Gwen... where is Gwen? She seems to have vanished. Again. At least the owl is around

The mists surge forward, covering the eastern half of the room to a height of around five feet.

Those less than 6' tall will be breathing it if you are in the yellow area. If so, please roll a save. If you want to hold your breath, you may do so, that gives you a 50% chance of not inadvertently taking any in. Roll a 1d2, if you get a 1 you are lucky and no save required. Those on top of a box will be out of the mist.

Thinking of up high, a Javelin strikes out at Hera as she flies past.
attack: 1d20 ⇒ 1
But she has spent a lifetime guessing what the unpredictable Gwen will do next, and adroitly avoids it. The odd creature that threw it jumps.. or maybe flaps.. over to get a better view of the main group.

The odd man leaps into the air, hovering well out of reach of even someone on top of the stone work. As he does so, dozens of horrid black tentacles rise out of the foor, grasping at the party!

spellcraft DC 19:

The area in the black circle is full of tentacles. This is difficult terrain - at the least. The following attack roll is a grapple check against each of you.

Ironshanks was right, this is a clusterf*ck of a room!

Peeking through his full plate visor Ironshanks shakes his head as he sees a cloud of unhealthy looking gas headed his way, and now a mass of slap happy tentacles popping up in front of him "What n the Christ did that woman sign us up for?"

He quickly hustles over to the stone... thing where the creature tossed a javelin. He drops his crowbar and starts climbing. The magical haste really speeds up the process.

@Grog, you can have finished healing up prior to the combat if you want. You had time, so no need to take actions doing that in the combat. Just roll all the healing in a spoiler.

Urias resists whatever is within the cloud. But has a hard time climbing out of it. I've moved you up to a low box, which has your face out of the mist for this round. It will just be a DC 10 climb check to move up to the next higher box if you want.
You can make another climb attempt if you want

Ironshanks shows him how it is done, climbing up out of the approaching cloud toward the winged creature throwing javelins.

Argenta grabs Imrizade and drags her from the approaching mist.
@Argenta, not for the quick grab, I think you were (just) out of it.

Are we on round 2? I am not sure why I ave dropped below the bad guys in initiative?

Lantern Lodge

Silent tide map

I do a rolling initative bar, so after people have acted they drop toward the bottom, that way generally the people to act are at the top.

@Urias, it is only a 5' step up from where you are, so I'm happy with DC10 on the climb for that, so you make it up.

Urias and Grog both climb the various obstacles, aided by the supernatural speed bestowed on them.

The mist continues to advance into the room. The weakened Imrizade, obviously out of her mind, fishes around in her belt for a fan, presumably overcome by the enormity of the situation and needing to cool off. However she turns the fan on the mist and as she waves it back and forth impressively strong winds blow the mist away... for the moment.

"There is little more I can do.. I have only small magics left." Almost to herself she mutters "I can make someone larger, or magic missile him. Or just chill him little."

Although someone spending a round using diplomacy on her might convince her to try the fan again or use a spell to help you. A good check might get several rounds of help

The Javelin thrower, Grog now notices, has more than the usual complement of arms. It uses them to slash at the mighty warrior even as it also tries for a bit of lunch. While it can't quite manage to chew on him, the daggers leave grog a mass of wounds.

The flying man glares are Urias, who feels a huge headache coming on. Wracked with mental pain he almost collapses.

@Gwyen. I put you wrong before. You can fit the orb in the bag. It would be a full round activity, but you suspect the bag would contain the mist that is spilling from it. Even with haste you couldn't have got to the orb last round though, but feel free to retcon your movement for last round if you want to.

Silent tide map

The bug-eyed man, tries to twist away from the arrow, but Gwen's position makes that difficult for him, and Ironshanks ironhead sinks in. The man looks unimpressed, and unhappy.

You could roll against the four armed thing, but it is toast. The man... well, I guess you could try an arcana check, but there is not a lot to learn.

Status, bold may post. Party is hasted. Yellow area requires fort saves if you are less than 6' tall or on a box. Black area is difficult terrain.

Apparently, he is a 9th or 10th level caster guy you can't disrupt with grappling (I have really never read the rules regarding the whole mentalist-casting-thing). If he were a wizard he would need to beat a Concentration DC = to Gwen's CMB of +2 haste +1 (though she's not 'rolling' it just now so who knows) + the spell level that he's casting + 10. Psionics.... Why did it have to be psionics? If only I had rolled better on my % chance of having them during character creation (27 years ago). Here I was hoping for a scrawny, STR 7 (aberrant blooded) sorcerer with slinky arms.

If you are in the cloud and holding your breath, there is a 50/50 chance of it affecting you. Grog made his save anyway.

Gwen flees the horrid man she was grappling. Bemoaning that she willingly touched such a foul creature!

Hera provides cover for her as she flees, digging talons painfully into the man.

Urias fires at the man, but is distracted by his pain and misses.

Grog dashes through the room, as Imrizade takes out her fan to again blow back the mist.

Somehow Grog manages to avoid the grasping tentacles again, whether that is skill or dump luck is unclear, but he once again surges forward.

I think the confusion has to do with the undulating mist, which has a 50% chance of poisoning you each round you are inside of it. I haven't paid too much attention to it, but I'm pretty sure it is not a confusing poison, but a stinking cloud kinda poison. That, and it probably provides some concealment. Also as I understand it, I think it only effects you if you are less than 6' tall. So go get 'em, appropriately-leveled, (hopefully) tall person! I'm just going to float here and vomit. ;)

GM Aerondor How long do I vomit (or is that a number expressed in feet and determined by the distance from Gwen's mouth and nose to the floor below)? ;) And is it a move action to "bag the ball" with the ghost trap or a standard action? Gwen might still be useful! And I think scoreboard needs a conditions update.

@Grog. The will DC was against the pain effect. You made the one against confusion earlier.

Urias plugs away at the man with his bow. He is starting to look like a pin cushion, but his flesh keeps ejecting the arrows almost as fast as they arrive.

@Gwen, you are nauseated if within 60' of the man. Grabbing the orb in the bag will be a full round action once you are next to it. Unfortunately if you are nauseated, the only action you can take in a round is a single move.
