Yup, even the puppers, though they gave my grandmother a lickin'. :P
Also, I see that I have begun to experience the memory loss of age at the venerable age of 31. I had forgotten I posted Sunday, which kinda makes me feel like an idiot for what I said earlier today.

GM Spazmodeus |

Himo's still around....just sick. I'll poke him again to see if he's up to re-joining us.
Bringing in new blood right now might be problematic, why would another character care about getting your new business up and running? At the very least, it would be very awkward from a roleplaying point of view, IMHO :)
If Himo can't/doesn't come back, we'll recruit up one or two others after the Manor is up and running ( I'll adjust any encounters etc to reflect you're diminished numbers...)

Talliree Yndercook |

Yeah, a cleric seems like they'd be the ideal ghostbuster.
And no offence to Hob or Mitchell, but I think we could use some more magically divine oomph.

AdamWarnock |

Hey all. I'm going to need to take a little time away from the boards. I probably won't be back until after the new year. Some personal things have come to a head in my life and I need to take care of those and myself.
Don't worry, I'm alright. I'm in good health, well physically anyway. I'm working on the mental and emotional side of things. Part of that means taking a break from this and focusing on me and improving myself. I hope to be back soon, but I don't know how soon soon is. I will be back, though.
Hope all of you have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I'll catch ya in 2021.

GM Spazmodeus |

Hob and Mitchell
As I said before, it would be narrative-wise awkward to bring in anyone new at this juncture. So, it'll be you to driving the story and in any combat I'll bot himo and Talliree until such time as they return, or we get to a place where it makes sense to introduce new blood.
Sound like a plan ? or at least half of one ?

Mitchell Cloudkeep |

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I've got business associates in town from tomorrow through Friday... so posting may be spotty. I'll try to keep up, but please DMPC to keep things from lagging.

Mitchell Cloudkeep |

Hi DM. This is a great game, but I believe the people leaving, and erratic posting has caused many to leave. I don't want this one to end, as I really like Mitchell. Is it time to try and recruit some replacement players, and reach out to Hob and Talliree to see if they're still on board???

GM Spazmodeus |

Glad you're enjoying yourself!
I agree, I'll PM Hob, Taliree and Himo to see where they're at.
I'll give them a bit to respond, but will in the mean time re-open recruitment to those who originally applied and to new-comers as well.
I think I already have an angle to use to bring new blood in that actually makes some sense :)
Thanks
Al

Talliree Yndercook |

Oh, no. Not at all. I thought it was on the mark. :D
I'll poke around and see who'd be interested. I know I'd like to play with Lady Ladile again, but I think she may be a bit busy.

Talliree Yndercook |

Whoops. Maybe I should have read the recruitment thread first. :P
Sorry if my posts aren’t up to my usual. I’m stuck with just the touch Keyboard of an iPad until further notice.

GM Spazmodeus |

Alright!
With Black Dow's Blade Dancing Mage added, let's choose two more from our supplicants!
We've got:
Atlas2112 : Allison the Half-elf Artificer
Grumbaki: Kurgan the Dwarven Cleric
KingHotTrash: Jasper the Halfling Rogue
Eldesmirge: Dwarf Druid....no profile yet.
What say you?

I've been kind of avoiding this for a while, I knew about a week or so back I really should get around to it but kept finding excuses to push it off one more day. For the last half a year or so I've just been floundering and then playing catch up every month or so. I hate abandoning groups but continuing as is isn't fair on people either. I'm going to be dropping out of all of the games I'm playing in (bar the one I've been playing in the longest) and most I am GMing except two which are near the end.
The last year has thrown me out of routine with the games, the pandemic is bad enough but there's some personal stuff that looks like it's coming up that'll be making things more awkward. I've enjoyed GMing and playing but it's just not something I can do right now.
Thank you for all the great times and I'm sorry I can't see it through to the end.
@New players This is a good group, my leaving is just real life stuff, it's a great game and you'll have fun.
On the subject of new players I've had Grumbaki in several games as a player as well as playing beside him. I'd strongly recommend picking him as one of the new players!

Kurgan Kegstalker |

Thank you for the kind words...and for having me here! I’ll be spending some time reading up abit more now on the gameplay thread. Please let me know when Kurgan can jump in.
Also, as I see a huge stat gap between PCs and I didn’t take any stat rerolls, going to see if one more roll might let Kurgan not rely on gloves for a decent strength score. It bothers me somewhat to have the magic item being something to replace a roll, so...
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 5) - 1 = 14
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 6) - 1 = 14
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 5) - 1 = 16
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 1) - 1 = 11
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 5) - 4 = 15
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 6) - 1 = 15
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 4) - 1 = 16
4d6 - 4 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 5) - 4 = 17
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 4) - 2 = 13
4d6 - 1 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 4) - 1 = 10
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 5, 6, 5) - 2 = 16
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 6, 6) - 2 = 14
Awesome. And with that he can have his own strength of 16. Which, amazingly...changed very little on his sheet. But feels much more as I saw him, with a magic axe instead of gloves of cheating. :)

Jasper Silvereye |

Thank you all for having me! I am very ready to get involved in with the group and see what happens next. I'll be re-reading the gameplay posts to get an idea of where we are and what will be happening next.
Just let us know what our final connections are going to be and when we can jump in roleplay-wise.

GM Spazmodeus |

Glad to have you guys along!
No issue with the re-roll Kurgan.
As for connections, you guys all had some discussions during the recruitment....let me know if you're all satisfied with what you came up with there.
I'll get a post to usher out our departing characters and continue our narrative to a point where I can bring our new additions in...

GM Spazmodeus |

Oh , almost forgot
Just started a Hell's Vengeance campaign, and our arcane player has vanished.
If your're interested, head over to link

Kurgan Kegstalker |

Ready to jump in whenever everyone is ready. :)

Talliree Yndercook |

I think I'm all good with the connections both Jasper and Kurgan have with Talliree.
And on a happy note, I've got my desktop back out of the shop and it no longer sounds like it's trying to eat fan bearings. :D

Kurgan Kegstalker |

Got my introductory post in. Includes a description of Kurgan's magical item, Anvilbreaker.
It's...abit much, I admit, for a +1 weapon. But I liked it. :P
In the meantime, I know that some uncommon weapons have more interesting abilities than just +1 hit +1 damage, but at the moment it's the best that I can find. Might adjust abit if I find something better, but until then it's just a +1 greataxe.

Talliree Yndercook |

Oh, poor Mitchell. He has no idea what he's in for. A fey-kissed lass with a quirky sense of humor and a mad dwarven brewer of holy water are bound to make quiet the pair, especially with that introduction.

Kurgan Kegstalker |

Doing some searching for uncommon magic items, to see if there was anything more interesting for his axe and I think that I've found a few amazing ones. It's just too bad that they don't work for him.

Magic tattoos!
Barrier Tattoo
Uncommon AC 12 + your Dexterity modifier
Rare AC 15 + your Dexterity modifier (maximum of +2)
Very Rare AC 18
Personally I love this one. Sure, mithral plate armor gives 18 AC without disadvantage, but this is like having plate armor all the time. Sleep in it, go into court with it. Throw that onto a Eldritch Knight who can summon a weapon, and you're always armed and armored. Even at AC 12, it isn't bad. It's just not as good as rare + very rare.
Eldritch Claw Tattoo
While the tattoo is on your skin,
your unarmed strikes are considered magical for
the purpose of overcoming immunity and
resistance to nonmagical attacks, and you gain a
+1 bonus to attack and damage rolls with
unarmed strikes.
Eldritch Maul. As a bonus action, you can
empower the tattoo for 1 minute. For the
duration, each of your melee weapon attacks can
reach a target up to 30 feet away from you, as
tendrils of ink launch from your weapon or
unarmed strike toward the target. In addition,
your melee weapon attacks deal an extra 1d6
force damage on a hit. Once used, this bonus
action can’t be used again until the next dawn.
Monks finally have a way to enchant their fists, and an extra 1d6 force damage with 30ft reach for 1 minute per day? Simply amazing for an uncommon item.

Nice , Jasper.
Let's say you send your message by paper bird so there's no delay :)
Also, forgot to say, nice intro Kurgan.
Talliree, Mitchell and Black Dow, I've sent you a PM on another matter.

Kurgan Kegstalker |

Many thanks for allowing the modifications to the character. :)
