In this rare case Bubbles will take his turn with me. Bubbles will start Detecting Evil in the area in front of me. This round he gets whether or not something in a 60' cone in front of me is evil. I will ready an action to fire an arrow if a devil shows itself.

All this violence seems like an overly chaotic thing for devils to just randomly do, they must have a reason for this attack. Or maybe they don't, I don't know. If I had moved faster, could I have saved these people? I'm so stupid!

The continued escalation of violence is starting to get to Molly. She looks around at the bodies on the ground and sardonically muses out loud.

"This is the necromancy building, what do you think the over-under is that these students are going to be shuffling around in a few days?"

Balik moves up, and sees an apprentice with what looks to be a badly crushed leg, and a large puncture wound in her chest. She does appear to be still alive.

I assumed that Balik would just run up there directly, using the chair backs as his route.

Bubbles does detect that there is evil in front of him.

First, two more of the devils appear as if from no where, as if the devils that Chak could see finished something off. As they appear, you hear something swearing in infernal by the other door into the room.

Molly then gets her readied shot off against the blue devil! The arrow does seem to have a problem penetrating the bones of the devil, though. I don't see that there are any modifiers on the attack

Then, a wall of ice appears in front of the bulk of the party, cast by the devil standing in front of the other door.

Red steps up and attacks Balik. First attack is invisible After the string strikes, it turns visible, but isn't able to land any more blows. It then immediately turns invisible again.

"Ach! Vile poisonous things! Ye deevils!" Balik cries out, feeling the liquid burning in his veins! But then he stops and remembers he's immune to poison thanks to his monkly monkiness! Diamond Body! Sorry, forgot I even had that...

He shakes it off and sneers at the deevils. "Ach, thought ye'd get me all weak at the knees, didcha? Well, suck on it, deevil! Balik ain't weak fer yer horniness! BALIK FEARS NAE HORNS!"

Bubbles will fly into Balik's square. If he makes it to Balik he will circle around until he either bumps into something, in which case he will telepathically communicate where the enemy is, or is attacked. When either of these conditions happen he will stop moving. If he completly moves around Balik and does not bump into anything, he will move back into Balik's square. I will put Bubbles in Balik's square, but move him to where his movement stops, if it does.

Emberwik:

The creatures are bone devils, again. Resistant to damage from weapons that are not aligned Good, Immune to fire and poison, strong resistance to cold and acid, as well as good SR. Their quickened invisibility can only be used three times per day, so you are pretty sure that the shenanigans will be over soon... but perhaps not until Balik has died.

Molly lets fly a series of arrows at where she thinks the red devil is. I did look to see that the bow has seeking... but in future, a reminder would be nice ;)

She is not sure of whether or not her shots hit, or hit cleanly, but there is evidence that the arrows disappeared, too.

Dare succeeded.

Sort of waiting on Emberwik and Chak, as Balik and Bubbles bleed.

Molly, I need a DC17 stabilization check for Bubbles.

I'm still not sure how Balik has a flat-footed AC of 18. A monk doesn't lose his monk bonus to AC when flat-footed. It seems like Balik should not have been down as some of those flat-footed attacks should have missed. I guess it's probably too late to fix it now, but Balik should fix his AC for the future. Although, I'm not sure we can actually save him unless Emberwik has ranged healing abilities.

Chak steps back from the devil near the gap in the wall, he pulls out a scroll and reads it. A few of the devils become visible.

Invisibility purge: Invisible creatures within 25 feet of Chak become visible.

Chak then studies gray.

I want to see if the Green Devil falls or not before I move. I have a plan. It’s not a good one, but it’s a plan. I can active my Boots of Lightning Leaping to turn into a lightning bolt to get to Balik, pick him up, then use my Quick Runner’s shirt to get an extra move to get Balik back with us. Maybe. Or I could get to him and then turn into a lighting bolt to carry him. Whether or not the second idea works if up to the GM.

OK, so I am full round attacking. With all the weirdness I am not daring myself to do anything this round. I am putting as many ranged Strikes into the Green Devil as needed. When and if the Green Devil goes down I will fire arrows at squares to hit an unseen devil. I will fire my extra shots, if any, one at the red crosshair, one at the yellow crosshair, one at the green crosshair. I will stop if any of my arrows hit something/disappear and put the rest of my remaining shots at the successful 'hit' My bow has the Seeking enchant.

Sorry... I was working on a post, but lost it.
Emberwik, I don't see any other action this round.

Chak steps up and starts slicing into green. His blade cuts deep, though the infernal nature of the devil prevents him from doing maximum damage. Even with striking a vital spot, it doesn't fall... and then he bites it. This puts it over the edge, and it disappears with a "pop" and the smell of brimstone.
Then, Blue moves in... as it can be seen, and it attacks Chak with its tail.
Stinger vs AC22: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 sting: 3d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 2, 2) + 5 = 12

I am going to allow Molly to shoot blue, as it is visible
All four of Molly's arrows strike blue... but as before, her arrows do not bite as deeply as expected.

Emberwik then casts stabilize on Balik.

Finally, a pair of brimstone clouds coalesce into a pair of bone devils! Chak saw them disappear and then show up in melee range.
