As Acadamae authorities on the edge of view begin scurrying about to implement procedures for crowning a victor that have not been employed in over a century. Before anyone can approach you, hundreds of devils of all stripes stream out from the Hall of Wards!
Almost as quickly, you can see dignitaries winking out as they, or their wizards, cast teleport to get them to safety.
Academae students and teachers alike engage the fiends, but it is clear that some are beyond their skill.

These are Warmonger Devils, otherwise known as levalochs. LE Large outsider (devil, evil, extraplanar, lawful)
They are rare among devils, as they are, effectively, constructs as well. As such they have most of the construct immunities.
They are not impaired by difficult terrain, and may even charge through such. Their legs are immune to acid and cold.
When working together, all devils adjacent to a levaloch gain a bonus to attack rolls and AC.
They are able to trample, and are increasingly brutal towards entangled creatures.

I'm moving down and dropping the body at 5 feet, then moving back up to 20 feet up. Entering Adreniline Rush and readying an action to sunder a weapon if it is thrown at me. Trickshot from my Archer archetype allows me to do this and also destroy the weapon instead of breaking it. If a 25 fails to overcome the attacker's CMD but a 28 succeeds, I pass my dare. My arrow is adamantine.
Molly flies further away from the line of advancing devilbots. She dips down 10 feet and drops Illia's body then swoops back up and issues a challenge.

So why all the 90 degree turns instead of descending at an angle? Fly forward 30 ft, descending 10 feet by the time you reach the destination, then reverse direction (10) then 5 feet towards Chak while descending 5 feet. Gets you where you can touch Chak and uses only 45 feet of movement. If the GM doesn't allow descent angles less that 45 degrees (some don't because it means you are not neatly in a cube through the entire movement) then you would need to use an extra 5 feet of move, but if you have a fly speed of 60 that wouldn't be a problem.

Shadow Projection (Su): You infuse your life force and psyche into your shadow, causing it to separate from your body and act as an independent creature. This ability functions as shadow projection except as follows. Your shadow has the outsider type and the phantom subtype instead of the undead type.
As a result, this ability does not have the evil descriptor and your shadow cannot be turned or affected as undead (though it can be affected as an outsider). You can use this ability for a number of hours per day equal to half your oracle level. These hours don’t need to be consecutive, but they must be spent in 1-hour increments. Your shadow’s hit points are not replenished between uses, although your shadow can be healed in the same manner as any other outsider.
When this ability isn’t in use, any healing done to you also heals your shadow for an equal amount. You must be at least 7th level to choose this revelation.
If no one is opposed to Emberwik doing it, he finds a nice place to hide and uses the ability, then has his shadow catch up to the party.
