Aishe Attack Miss Chance (Acid Fog) Low is good: 1d100 ⇒ 73
All of Aishe's shots miss the dragon as the solid acidic fog throws his aim well of target. Atium and Vinas both charge into the solid fog and find their movement slowed considerably as they attack.
Atium Attack Miss Chance (Acid Fog) Low is good: 1d100 ⇒ 22
Atium finds the dragon but his warhammer bounces off of the dragon's superior hide as it strikes back at the Ulfen warrior.
AoO vs Atium AC 32; PA: 1d20 + 34 - 6 ⇒ (7) + 34 - 6 = 35
Damage: 2d8 + 19 + 12 ⇒ (5, 4) + 19 + 12 = 40
Although Vinas is nearly a true angel, blessed by the Gods it doesn't help his aim as he misses as well.
Vanyan Attack Miss Chance (Acid Fog) Low is good: 1d100 ⇒ 76
The fog also messes with Vanyan's aim as it goes well off center, striking through the fog and into the floor.

Exhaustion hits Atium and the animal instincts flee his body.

Though if Vinas is in melee, then isn't the miss chance only 20%? Not sure I remember my fog cloud rules, but I thought that's how it works.

Atium of Varg |

Atium endures the acid some more. He has concerns and doubts creep in his mind. His hammer (and Atium's ability) might have met it's match. The hard scales, the obvious deflective magics, and this damned fog all have foiled his combat prowess.
But he swings on anyway, for this is a life and death struggle and he has the power of boundless anger as his ally.
Another ally is the spirit warrior. Atium slides 5 feet over and flanks the dragon.

The group watches as nearly all of Atium's flesh is melted from his body, leaving behind scraps of bone and muscle. In a last ditch effort the group piles on emergency healing into the barbarian.

The dragon resists the positive effect as it washes over the area. Vinas shows his true angelic power as he raises his blade up in both hands. Istravek rears up and goes down to swallow the knight whole just as he brings his blade down, splitting the dragon's head down the middle, until it reaches the brain.
Quickly retreating out of the acid you assess your severe injuriesas the acid in the room dissipates. The ghost floats in the center of the room looking quite serene. He floats higher and higher as portions of his body begin to break apart in small glowing wisps. "Thank you for helping me find the peace I needed."

Now that was a fight! Crits for the win.
Vanyan wheezes over to Atium to check on the warrior. "Are you okay, Brother Shaka? Did the acid get into your eyes? You seem to be unable to hit the dragon," Vanyan worries. "Are you blind?"
If Atium isn't in danger of dying, he will nod goodbye to the ghost.
"We're happy to have helped. Glad it's gone, to be honest. Thing was dangerous."

Atium of Varg |

Atium staggers outside of the remnants of the acid fog, being knocked unconscious stopped the raging in his blood -cold. His body goes almost limp as pure exhaustion overwhelms him. The wings on his boots keep flapping though and he remains aloft just floating like a leaf in a heavy wind.
He mumbles a couple sentences, exhausted and repeating himself.
Brother Shaka.
My totem. My Shakra, appears cracked..... My totem... my shakra might be broken....Not blind, but it's broken. Broke...broke...broke...but alive. Somehow alive.
His adamantine warhammer drops from his grip.
CLANG! Crack!
are the sounds it makes as the metal object falls 20 feet and both rings against the floor tiles, but it's special metal and force of gravity breaks the tiles at the same time.
Thankfully the monkey belt holds onto his Grayflame,
Atrium is exhausted for 42 rounds.....and somehow he friggin' lived! Negative 47 is a whole lotta negs!

Aishe Danior |

Aishe looks at the smoking gloves before taking them off and tossing them on the body of the dead dragon. He's glad Atium will live, but he knows they're going to need more gloves. "We should get another pair."
He replenishes his bolts out of habit, though truly he's still a bit dazed from the battle. Never had he prayed so hard to Abadar for success - and those were the only bolts that hit. Truly he is blessed by Abadar, and he takes a moment to revel in that feeling.
Now he'll use four charges on healing up as he tried to do before. He tries to get the healing in early, as he expects Atium to drain the wand before he's done. Thankfully they have spares.
He moves about on watch, checking for tracks near the two tunnels deeper into this level of the complex.
Perception: 1d20 + 21 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 21 + 2 = 30 (underground)(+8 if scent applies)
Survival, tracking: 1d20 + 25 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 25 + 2 = 32 (underground)(+4 if scent applies)
While underground or in an urban setting, and within line of sight of Aishe, everyone gets:
+2 (untyped) initiative, perception, stealth, and survival; and leave no tracks.

Aishe finds small shuffling tracks that seem to be bone scraping on cement that leads to the east.

Atium of Varg |

Atium the Barbarian = wand destroyer. I predict half the wand just to heal to full (it was close- really 24 charges vs 25). also @ GM, I used my Bottlecap this action. The dashboard shows me with a BC. The Cure Serious wounds from Tess got me to 46HP's before 24 rounds of straight stroking the wand!
Atium just moves to the floor, grabs the wand and tries to make use of it. No real words being spoken for at least 5 solid minutes. It's like he has a concussion. Any questions that are asked get a wrong reply, or a non-sequitor. All replies are limited to one or two words (like usual Atium....).
CLW Healing: 24d8 + 24 ⇒ (5, 1, 6, 7, 1, 7, 3, 6, 8, 1, 1, 2, 5, 2, 6, 3, 1, 6, 7, 6, 3, 7, 1, 4) + 24 = 123

Vanyan Kaleseder |

Vanyan seems relieved to hear Atium grunting monosyllabically, which indicates normal functioning. He will help with the wands for those that need it, then look around for what the Nightmare might be guarding or hoarding.
1d20 + 26 ⇒ (12) + 26 = 38 Perception

Vinas uth Antimanes |

Vinas takes a moment to see what the party hath wrought. It seems like both yesterday and a "lifetime" ago that they awoke from the dead in a shattered world.
Vinas nods to the ghost, personally aware of the journey that awaits in the Boneyard. He is quiet throughout.
While Atium recovers from his superhuman endeavor, Vinas looks about the room, casting an eye for lucre and for evil. He takes a path opposite Vanyans, thinking that fresh eyes will do the job better.

Atium of Varg |

After about 10 minutes -Feeling just a little better, Atium squints as he tries to track the movements of the party as they investigate the room.
He's not really intent or focused, but just trying to concentrate long enough to clear up the fog in his brain.
@gm and Vanyan- how much lonbger are the spell effects on Atium lasting? Barkskin and MCaE. @ Gm - Divine Favor is gone.
mummble. mumbble, mumble.

Those spells last you longtime. More than 2 hours each. Tons of time left.
Vanyan notes as Atium seems to recover his breath and stops bleeding all over the floor.

Aishe Danior |

Aishe suggests they head to the east and points out the tracks, if people are able to continue. "Be nice to search this level before retiring." He mentions, "Might be there's a dragon hoard here somewhere."
If people need to rest however, he understands. That was a brutal fight...

The group takes a few minutes to wish the ghost farewell as it quickly dissipates into the afterlife. This gives Atium a chance to heal his injuries, though the group notices as he begins acting a bit stranger than usual.
Over the last several days Atium has been growing more and more tempered, even going to far as compete self-preservation when prompted with the though of sacrificing his life to stop the Whispering Tyrant. Each time he sleeps his hand and arm twitch and jerk ever so slightly as something within wrestles with his mind.
As Atium perished from the dragon, even for the briefest of moments his face and demeanor twist into absolute hate and fury, even as his body shows exhaustion. Vinas' head quickly turns as he detects a very strong evil presence coming from Atium. Atiums arms and hands twitch and jerk freely as if the man within isn't in control.

He pulls the others in order to share his thoughts, "Aishe, Tess, Vanyan. Something's wrong. Atium... he's different. I sense in him an evil the likes of which I only sense in our darkest foes."
Vinas prays to Iomedae for a moment, "I fear he may be possessed. Actually, I fear worse and hope he's possessed. At least then, the evil isn't his."
With a heavy sigh and wounded heart, Vinas continues. "Vanyan, Tess. What know you of such foul magics?" Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 "My calling came later in life, and I know little of the formalities and machinations of Beyond."

Vanyan’s eyes narrow as they dart from Vinas to Atium, the wand of curing falling from his hands.

As Atium sees the others group together. He shakes his head and grimaces one last time. The corners of his eyes scrunching into crows feet.
When he opens his eyes, there's clear eyed clarity once more.
He looks at the body language and the stance and attitudes of his companions. He especially sees the sadness in Aishe's eyes.
sense motive: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (15) + 29 = 44

So, now that the Nightmare of Scions is defeated and killed off. You are at your tree, and fully able to bury seeds and commit Seppuku. Since I'm not interested in dying, and want to explore the world - I'll be heading out now.
He starts to turn and move towards an exit. All the while, slipping one of his totems off his neck and placing it into his right hand. Clenching it with a destructive ferocity.
Good luck doing what you need to do!
