Tessenarin offers a small bit of comfort and inspiration as Atium, rages flinging himself into the air. Vinas follows Atium as he turns into an angel, smiting the Whispering Tyrant himself. Aishe flies up behind. trying to keep a little bit of distance. Vanyan gives a small blessing to your meager cause.

The Tyrant revels in his destruction as he watches the Obcisidaemon's fly towards their prey.

The fog cloud quickly begins to dissipate making it much easier to see.

    Tessenarin continues his song as he flies free from the Ziggurat. The Whspering Tyrant glares at Atium. With a look Atium knows the Tyrant remembers. He remembers quite well.

    Eyeing the Tyrant, Vinas has no other goal than to bring him down. WIth wings outstretched he streaks through the air in between the pair of Daemons, though as he gets within 60' of the Tyrant a wall of absolute terror begin to wash over him, though his resolve is strong enough he simply brushes it off. Vinas drives his blade right through the Tyrant's armor and into his chest.

    Anyone who comes within 60' of the Tyrant is automatically Paralyzed with fear for 1d4 rounds. After which you will be shaken as long as you are within 60' of him.

    Vina crashes into the battlement above, just below the pair of Daemons. Aishe peeks above the opening and sends a single bolt into one of the Daemons.

    Green Will: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (13) + 22 = 35
    Pink Will: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29

    Vanyan tries to banish the pair of Daemon's though they seem to resist the pull back to their realm.

    Enraged the Whispering Tyrant takes a step back, pulling the holy sword from his chest as he freezes time.

    Mythic Time Stop.

    The Tyrant flies a short distance away as a windowless cage of magical force drops from the sky down on top of Vinas, trapping him where he is. Cast Forcecage.

    Flying a little higher an invisible wave of pure necrotic magic flings out repulsing all around. Cast Repulsion 50 feet.

    The Lich then begins to appear a few feet away from its true location as it displaces back and forth. Cast Displacement.

    Time suddenly comes speeding back up, nearly tossing you to your knees. As it does you also realize the demons had time to close the distance and are right on top of you.

    Tessenarin heals himself as Atium's hammer puts a hurting on teh Daemon. It look on in shock and awe as several ribs break and the side of its chest caves in from the blows.

    Aishe sends numerous bolts all into teh Obcisidaemon's skull and neck, killing it as the daemon crashes into the hole of the ziggurat. All that remains left is the Whispering Tyrant himself.

    Vanyan sends a second sunbeam inot the lich as the Whispering Tyrant swats the spell away, deflecting it as if it we a mere gnat.

    Vinas sees the exit, but just as he nears the shadowy creature comes out from around a corner blocking his escape. Turning Vinas flees back into the maze.

    Slightly injured and his Obcisidaemon's destroyed the Whispering Tyrant cackles. "You meddlesome fools. I will destroy you once and for all..." He rises high into the sky. As he does his withered hand stands outstretched. "You see, you carry a fragment of your own doom."

    The fragment of the Shattered Shield of Arnisant you captured from the ecorche several hours earlier rips free from your bag as it too drifts into the air. Furious, the Whispering Tyrant triggers a detonation of the Radiant Fire, consuming the fragment as it begins to crack and grow white hot.

    The area within 5 miles of the fragment immediately begins to vibrate with incredible amounts of positive energy, turning some of the paladins below to ash. Anyone CR 5 or below is instantly killed

    One by one your Obols twist painfully in in your chests, nauseating you.

    Nauseating 1 round DC 30 Fort Negates, if you succeed you may designate 1 living creature who does not have an Obol to be immune to the Radiant Blast.

    Tessenarin and Vanyan are immediately nauseated.

    Atium looks down at a young squire on his way to becoming a knight. The boy feels an immediate connection as he watches Atium fly and crash into the Whispering Tyrant's repulsion aura. A scream of absolute and pure rage barely breaks through the loud magical thrum in the air.

    Vinas remains vexed by his untimely situation as one by one Aishe's bolts miss the lich or are easily deflected.

    You all have no more time to react as the Whispering Tyrant flies up and grasps the shard in his hand. The shard fully cracks open and the blast of Radiant Fire erupts from the shard.

    The Whispering Tyrant immediately realizes that this detonation is unlike any other blast of the Radiant Fire. At first, a sneer of rage crosses his face as he realizes you have tricked him somehow. This sneer is soon overcome by a look of both surprise and pain. The shard in the lich’s hand glows with impossible brightness, engulfing his entire hand. The Whispering Tyrant plummets to the ground. As he hits he rolls to his knees and claws at the ground as though to snuff out the burning brightness and keep himself anchored in place, but the glow envelops the lich and reduces his body to tatters. His scream of fury is lost in the booming explosion that rolls across the Cairnlands in an incredible 5 mile radius.

    As expected from your discussion with Miraina the explosion of the Radiant Fire overwhelms your obols and destroying your bodies and souls in an instant. You feel little more pain as the explosion swiftly sweeps through the area, leaving only the Squire laying in its wake. The young man looks up in shock and horror as the explosion settles. He awakens to a light snowfall as the sun begins peeking up across the horizon. Sitting up he realizes the snow is ash and begins his slow, haunted trudge back to teh safety of Absalom to spread the word of the noble sacrifice that happened here today.

    Unlike the Whispering Tyrant, whose death marks his failure and loss of the greatest weapon he’s ever known, the PCs can enter oblivion knowing that their heroic sacrifice marks them forever as legends.

    For a full minute, the Radiant Fire outshines the sun as the blast washes over a miles-wide swath of the Cairnlands and the Immenwood. The blast stops many miles from Absalom’s walls but leaves a devastated wasteland behind. Those who dare explore it return with tales of haunted ruins, the walking dead, and mutated animals—or they return not at all. Rumors of a single, withered hand clutching the ground in the center of the devastation are dismissed as ridiculous gossip, but the region soon gains the nickname of “the Tyrant’s Grasp.”

    Absalom rejoices at having fended off another siege, though those who knew you ensure that your names aren’t forgotten. Captain of the First Guard Rothos commissions a statue in your honor to stand in the city’s Foreign Quarter, and he establishes an annual festival to celebrate the many heroes who came to Absalom’s aid when a terrible evil threatened the whole Inner Sea region. Vinas is post-humuously promoted to Knighthood as Vanyan is recognized all across the Pathfinder Chronicles for years to come.

    That is the end of this Adventure Path. Lets see if Vinas makes it out of the Maze to realize what happened.
