Even distribution of healing, giving the wands to those who can use them. The Chime I say is given to Mel since he's part rogue, which means it's his responsibility for getting things unlocked if need be. As for the arrows, it looks like Mel is the best among us with a bow, so I say he gets the lion's share of the bane arrows. Skalv and Angahaar are both proficient with and have bows so throw a couple arrows to them in case the situation arises, and I think UU doesn't have proficiency/possession of a bow. How does that sound?


I've got no objection to that split and you are correct - I'm not carrying a bow at the moment. FWIW, I also have a scroll with a couple Lesser Restoration spells on it, in case we get seriously drained.

I've got some additional healing as well, in the form of some potions and lay on hands. But these potions are significantly better than that I can offer.

Jack Daniels, what is the caster level of the healing potions? It's important to know how much they heal.

Udaya, I notice you have channel energy, which is a fantastic source of AoE healing so I'll hold off on drinking my potions to see if she will offer that. But I have a question (and please pardon my ignorance of the warpriest class which I've never played); I thought warpriests don't gain channel energy until level 4?

Why did I think UU was a warpriest? Perhaps it was the hybrid of flurry and divine abilities that made me think "sacred fist warpriest".

As for channel energy, since it doesn't look like UU has selective channel, I will assume that UU hit the last demon with both of her attacks, and Skalv will coup de grace the other one. Since these demons came physically to our plane they will drop and bleed out like the rest of us.


Also, I tend to play monsters to 0 hps and then death - they do not go into negatives so no worries about healing and raising fallen monsters.

Cool, I always think that's best for "non special" enemies. But I've had a number of GMs in the past that go "Well it looks like you healed all the dying enemies so we're back in initiative again", so I like to make sure :)


Yep. My lack of Selective Channel is also why I didn't channel in Round 4. I would have had to withdraw out of combat range to try to get off a channel that didn't help the baddies. And we needed to finish the doorguards as quick as possible.

Just so you understand my plans, I'll be taking Selective Channel and Quick Channel as soon as I can.

Skalv, you may have been confused because UU did introduce herself as a warrior-priestess. It was more a statement of her role rather than her class.

Hey downing the enemies sooner means they do less overall damage, no complaints here.

Ah yes that might have been the source of it. I suppose in a way you are essentially going to be a sacred fist warpriest on steroids.


I actually considered building UU on Warpriest but I discarded it because I didn't like the delayed channeling and stunted casting chops.

Perhaps in a non-gestalt game it may be a way to build UU. But hybrid classes can easily get messy when combined with gestalt.
