Sorry to hear that. Never a good time to lose someone close. I just had a similar situation myself, last week.

Sadly, the Mesmeric Baton doesn't even have game statistics. . . the scenario references that it was "drained" from the priest over using it, but that seems like a lame cop out to keep it off your sheet.

How does one get a boon to create a character of a non standard PFS race?

Various ways, but usually not easily. Either being a GM, or taking part in certain special events.

Interesting. I have been a GM with PbP for a few years and never gotten a boon for that, lol.

The "easiest" way is regional support program boons- but I don't know if PbP has any regional support associated.
But even then to earn the race boon you have to GM 12 sessions.

That is kinda of a bummer, lol, especially when there is no local PFS.

PbP just got regional support, which means there’s a race boon for folks who GM outside of conventions or other events! And a chance for boons for players!

Currently race boon for GMs, I believe, is Dhampir. Not exactly my cup ' tea, but I'm sure some people are stoked for it.

Just as a heads up. In case anyone is wondering why my avatar has changed, I'm working towards making a separate alias for Zera's Alter Ego, Obsidian Rose. It's something I should have done a while ago, but I'm still adapting somewhat to these forums.
