Silver Crusade

You awaken laying in the middle of a rocky room. The last thing you remember before this was signing up for some job on a document. A young, aristocratic man in a white and red top hat and coat proffering the deal to you. As you awake, you here a booming voice, amplified by magic. He stands on an outcropping balcony high above you and the room you now find yourself in. You also find yourself unable to speak, no matter how hard you try.

Welcome! To my gauntlet of fright and delight! I'm so happy you choose to partake in my little expedition! Today, yesterday, and tomorrow you will have faced and will face the most terrifying creatures in your world! To test yourselves, to test your mettle, and of course, for mine, and all the others amusements. Applause and cheers from a seemingly non existent crowd roar against your ears.

The man pats his hands and the cacophony quiets. You have one minute to prepare! And know, that once the gauntlet starts, it does not end until either you or it lay broken, battered and beaten! Your first opponent is... A ferocious white Dragon!

After less than a minute, you see a door open from sheer stone and a medium sized white dragon soars into the room and a cackling purple energy field coalesces to seal off the area from above.

rolls:

1d3 ⇒ 2
fate: 1d8 ⇒ 8
dragnitative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

roll initiative for yourself, do no make an action in combat yet unless you beat a 26 initiative.

setting and mechanics, read this:

Can you all function with theater of the mind, or would you prefer maps? I would have to use roll20 for maps.

Okay, you each have 1 minute (10 rounds) to prepare however you wish, you are in a room with numerous small boulders(fill a 5ft space) every 60ft, quickly it begins to snow, and soon a soft coat of snow covers the floor supernaturally fast (causes no adverse effects at the moment)

for simplicity, unless you are attempting to stealth, You are in the center of the room, from the center, you can reach any wall via a straight line with 120ft of movement. the "ceiling" is 320ft up. The dragon is currently 180ft up, and 80ft away from you(vertically).

Please, place all your posts in spoilers and list your actions for the first minute (buffs, traps, etc you have knowledge of the enemy you are facing in the first round.) and roll your initiative, likely the dragon will be going first with his nat 20.

Also, please make sure to list any movement you make as follows.

PC moves 20ft north, 10ft east, (if not moving towards your enemy) If moving towards your enemy, merely specify how far you move. If you are flying, specify which axis you are moving. (I fly 20ft upward, and then another 40ft east , or 40ft towards X)

For the vertical plane, north is up, right is east, south is down, and west is left if it matters to you.

Elf Wizard (Conjuration - Teleportation) 6

Yolo rises amidst her Construct Creations, all dressed to match her own Tian sensibilities. Standing guard over her are two archers in with studded clubs, a mechanical samurai, and... herself?

"Hmmph, I'll show you that a true wizard is always prepared. Even for such a rude job orientation as this." Yolo dusts herself off, before beginning her wizardly incantations.

The two archers and soldiers split up into a triangle, with roughly 30 feet on each of the triangle's sides. They impassively searched for a threat, but then, the Dragon was set loose.

Do note, I am trying to play the creature as I feel it would act, while attempting to make them as efficient/deadly as possible. It is also only a medium sized creature.

Mu Ridenhou:

High favors you
1d100 ⇒ 66

The Dragon turns and looks directly at you, however it seems mildly confused, and looks away, back to the open arena. It scans the area before looking back at you as one would look at a gnat. For a second a chill spreads through the air, and you fear it may be about to use its icy breath, however it stops, and merely swipes at you with its claw, almost not even looking.

claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 You are technically flat-footed for this attack. The dragons blindsense alerted it to your presence.

You are up.

Yolo Laelsiolae:

The white dragon lets its hubris get the better of it, it flies in immediately towards the 3 impudent creatures that dare challenge it. As it readies to descend lower, it notices the presence of two other creatures that it cannot see. It is surprised, and goes on the defensive for now.

Move 150ft, total defense action, you and your army of paintings are up.

Aja:

please note to take into account range penalties, you started in the middle of the arena, and never stated you moved, so you were 80ft away from the dragon horizontally, and another 180ft away vertically, with a 30ft move, that is still over the 110 range increment of the bow.
As the arrows fly out and pierce the dragon, it shows its youth by letting its anger get the better of it, and charges headlong to find whatever dared to injure it. Instead of flying higher and assessing the situation.

The drake flies toward the direction the arrows that now pierce and stain its white scales red came from, slowed due to the smoke. However, he manages to detect your presence and quickly is next to you.

Drake, double move, 300ft, at half speed 150ft, moves your direction, and his blindsense of 60ft does the rest, and the dragon adjacent to you. white Dragon (young) -32HP.

Falcatania:

The White dragon spots you instantly, just as you intended, however, it does not immediately attack, it hovers about 90ft up above you, looking at you as a cat assess its prey.

dragon takes double move and hovers above you, as it couldn't reach you this turn and decides to take it slow with no present threat to it. You are up

Slate:

The dragon notices your gathering power and proceeds cautiously, it hovers 100ft above you, muscles coiled as if ready to spring to the side.

to be honest, several things came together. a) in your opening post you wrote "80ft away from you(vertically)", which I should have questioned. b) I did indeed write he moves within 15 ft. in the summary line underneath the preparation spoiler c) I forgot to recheck range penalties

Aja got quite nervous as the dragon closed in on him. Truly he had forgotton about their extraordinary senses.

I'm not flat footed before acting, because I took the trait, Defensive Strategist. I presume that I wasn't able to enter into Crane Style though. If that's the case, then I will do so now.

Falcatania Round 3:

Reflex save vs DC 16: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Between that and the Resist Energy I have up that should be 0 damage I think.

Falcatania narrows her eyes and smiles a grim smile as switches her focus from defense. She dodges to the side of the freezing breath and shrugs off the remaining cold. Now that the dragon has closed the gap she sees the opening she needs. Flying directly towards the beast, and then curving slightly to the left, her arms stretch out unnaturally far to swing her Falcata, held in both hands, at her scaly foe.

Two handed Power Attack with +1 Keen Falcata: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (16) + 18 = 34
Damage (S): 2d6 + 26 ⇒ (6, 5) + 26 = 37

After her swing, the half-orc watches the dragon, waiting at a distance for any opening to slash out once more.

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28
Damage (S): 2d6 + 26 ⇒ (1, 2) + 26 = 29

Switching War Mind Blessing to +1 to hit instead of +1 AC. Move action to move 15 feet towards the dragon (so to 15 feet away from it), Standard Action to Attack. If the dragon takes a 5 foot step to try to approach it still won't be within range unless it has reach, so I'm hoping it will have to move through my threatened area if it wants to make a melee attack.

And that was so close to the crit I needed to end the fight in one shot. Ah well, taking more than one hit to kill a dragon isn't unexpected.

Its quite a sight, a songbird doing battle and going toe to toe with a dragon, even a young one. It even manages to pierce the dragons scales. It lashes out angrily, more out of frustration and rage than anything else. It shouldn't have such trouble ridding itself of such a small nuisance.

I'm certainly consistent, but damage clearly is NOT my forte, heh. This might go on for a while.

I just realized, since I'm super consistent and all, I might as well include a Round 6.

Mu Ridenhou, Round 6:

Full Round Action = Full Attack [Fighting Defensively]

Attack 1: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 15 - 2 = 15
Damage 1: 1d3 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Attack 2: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 - 2 = 22
Damage 2: 1d3 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

If I took damage, then here's another lay on hands:

Lay on Hands: 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 2, 1) + 12 = 20

I just realized that I made a mistake in my character sheet when I put down 3d6+6. It's actually 3d6+12, since I have both Fey Foundling and the Tiefling Favored Class Bonus.

If I was forced to use Hero's Defiance because the Dragon got a few lucky crits in and my HP was reduced to 0, then assume that said lay on hands was used as an immediate action and add the following:

Hero's Defiance, extra healing: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

EDIT: That first attack is looking like a miss, so here's a Round 7

Mu Ridenhou, Round 7:

Full Round Action = Full Attack [Fighting Defensively]

Attack 1: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 15 - 2 = 32
Damage 1: 1d3 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Attack 2: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 - 2 = 9
Damage 2: 1d3 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Hopefully, that's enough to do the Dragon in, so I don't waste time.

all:

A minute after the first battle started, the arena around you begins to blur, shift and distort until there is a loud snap and you find yourselves in a dark cave, with no source of light save rivers of lava flowing around you.

new map-
there are 5 platforms about 30ft in diameter, each platform about 10ft away from each other. Separating them is a running river of lava. The ceiling is covered in stalactites and is about 100ft up. The arena is circular, the width is 120ft across, and 110ft in length. You find yourself on the middle platform, 60ft away from either side, and 55ft away from what appear to be exits that go further into the caves though they are blocked by magical barriers. There is no sight of your enemy even the round has started.

the platforms are laid out in a way similar to this- The top and bottom two are touching the barriers sealing the area. O=platform.

The bird knows better than to listen to the creature's goading, and instead continues to search for the creature. There aren't many places to hide in this arena, after-all. And low level invisibility isn't likely to last a particularly long time.

Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

I'll keep the previous stealth & Initiative score, if at all possible.

I'm willing to keep spamming Perception checks for at least 7 minutes straight if need be. If nothing happens after the first minute, assume that I will take the 2 minutes necessary to take 20. If nothing happens after 7 minutes, then Mu will fly to the center of the room, at it's very zenith before attempting another Take 20 perception check.

If Mu finds the enemy at any point, or if the enemy chooses to reveal themselves for any reason, he will attempt a charge attack...while fighting defensively.

Charge: 1d20 + 15 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 - 2 + 2 = 31
Damage: 1d3 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Note that this will provoke an attack (before I get the opportunity to fight defensively) since I need to enter into the enemy's square before I can attack them.

In line with what I've stated previously, here are Perception checks for the first 1 minute, minus the ones in the first round.

Spoiler:

2nd Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

3rd Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

4th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

5th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

6th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

7th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

8th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

9th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

10th Round
Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

If any of these are nat 20s, and I still don't see the bastard, then I will try again at minute 7.

Minute 7, Round 1:

Move Action 1:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Move Action 2:Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

If that still fails, then I will take 20 for 2 minutes just in case Invisibility was cast. If the above role was a natural 20, then I will ignore taking 20 and just move into the center of the arena (at the very highest point) and ready an action to use Lay on Hands on myself if I take damage. The same will happen should my take 20 fail.

Lay on Hands:

Lay On Hands: 3d6 + 12 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) + 12 = 19

As before, if at any point I see the a&+~&$&, I dive bomb him with the aforementioned charge attack.
