How do the crowds look? Are they dispersing or is it still chaos?
I automatically make the spellcrafts.
"Don't summon any good creatures!"
If I cast a 10 foot area of effect spell, would I get bystanders?
GM Batpony |
Round 1, so still chaotic, area affects will likely hit bystanders as they scramble like headless chickens
Rudzik |
Do the opponent monks have a way to bypass the difficult terrain and make a 5 ft step? If not, they'd have to use a move action to travel the 5 ft towards Unnvar and not get to flurry against him.

GM Batpony |
Doh! Forgot you can't 5 ft difficult terrain, in any case I'll retcon and only count the first two attacks (second attack activated by ki pool)

Doctor Meiosa |
The doctor raises an eyebrow as she takes a combat stance. "Really? No hideous transformation? No revelation in dark, profane powers beyond my comprehension?"
Meiosa spreads her wings and takes to the skies, folding her lower arms as she looks down on her nearest opponent.
"How... mundane."
Activating wings, flying 10 feet upwards and a bit to the side. Gimmie that tasty AoO!

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Rudzik is right again! Adjusted damage below.
Rudzik lets fly a couple arrows that find themselves accurately breezes past the bystanders heads finding the target. The caster finds himself badly wounded immediately from the arrows that pierces his body.
All hit but did not confirm crit.
AoO, Unarmed Strike: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22B: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Meiosa immediately flies to the sky to gain an advantage against the bandits and avoids a punch that narrowly misses her. In the meanwhile, Eadie is enraged and lunges forward delivering some powerful strikes with her falchion, effectively killing the enemy in two slices.
The second attack drops Green.
On the other side, Emberwik fights magic with fire forcing the caster to succumb to his wounds with some scorching rays.
Second scorching ray drops Red.

Torrag makes full use of a spell and petrifies the caster before he is able to do anything further.

Unnvar's reaction against the oncoming assault by the monks injures them badly, yet they still remain poised to finish the business. "The Aspis will never surrender! Your loot is ours." They shout back in effect to Eadie's taunting.
Still surrounding Unnvar, they attempt the same strategy yet again. Third time does not prove to be the charm as they are unable to land a single attack this time around. Perhaps they hesitate after being realized that they Pathfinders have them surrounded.

Just did the math, all enemies neutralised. Can't give a proper update till I'm off work, but where to next? We've practically completed the encounters in this district.
Emberwik |
I would like to do some more combat for our next location, but that would be my vote.
Eadie Navhelan |
Agreed! So Battle District, maybe?
If one of the other districts turns yellow, are we able to head there directly to help after our current encounter/combat is over, GM Batpony?
"Nice call on them being Aspis, Unnvar." Eadie *bumps* fists with the slayer and gives Sir Wilk a neck-ruffle.
"Who's ready to drench themselves in demon-ichor?"
Doctor Meiosa |
Taking 10 on a Heal check = 18
Meiosa lands and nods, surveying the scene. She gathers each fallen foe, checking them for signs of life and applying pressure to their wounds.
"What now?" she asks, setting the last one on his in a neat line of limp bodies. "Got nothing worth harvesting. But I'd be a hypocrite if I cut them down."
She shrugs. "I won't stop you either way. But we should move on sooner than later. I don't hear any words of panic, so we could double back and reinforce the Battle District. It isn't far from here."
Unnvar the Solemn |
Unnvar lives for the fighting, some place where the pesky demons are still causing problems.
Rudzik |
Rudzik is fine with anywhere, but would prefer someplace that needs more assistance (such as a yellow district).
Doctor Meiosa |
Our teams are absolutely killing it. Looks like the map is greener than a seasick goblin. I'm just suggesting battle district because in-character logic dictates that its the shortest trip, therefore the least can go wrong while they're walking and not stabbing.
GM Batpony |
Sorry for the late update, life got a bit busy yesterday.
At the defeat of the Aspis smugglers, whom you're now very sure of their agenda of theft, the crowds eventually settle down when they come to realise that there is no demons in the immediate area. You diligently see to the crowds, and allow them safely onto the ship. Protonicus thanks you for your efforts and sails off.
The outer district seems to be relatively secure for the time being, and fighting can be heard prevailing inside the walls of Diamond City. You head then towards the battle district in hopes to see some action. Not long as you step into the city, a crusader rushes out from one of the nearby buildings, gesturing you to join him. “You lot! In here, now!” she pleads. [b]"You look like capable warriors, and I'm in need of help. The bank of Adabar contains a cache of blessed weapons, we desperately need to get these out to the crusaders, I'm unable to take on this task as I would like to prepare the logistics of getting them to the field. Could you bring them to me?
Assuming you say yes...
Upon arrival, you've discovered that the front of the bank is guarded by two massive demons, whom skin is armoured, scaly, and moist, almost a reptilian looking monster by nature, (Kn. Planes DC21 to identify), the map provided to you by the crusader indicates a possible back entrance if you take on alley paths.
What would the group like to do?
Rudzik |
Rudzik just looks over at Eadie. "You don't look like the quietest bird in the forest in that armor," he says bluntly.
Rudzik's fine for either approach - assuming a Large wolf and navigate the alleys with little difficulty.
Emberwik |
Take 10 an option on this identification check? My result would be 30.
Unnvar the Solemn |
Unnvar is supremely confident in his own combat prowess to a fault. So he'll not turn down a fight...but on the other hand he's decent at sneaking around if the group prefers that, he'll not object.
GM Batpony |

Im running low on 2nd level spells, so I will save my last two for when we really need align weapon. Since their reflexes are not doing too well, these guys can't be too challenging.
Emberwik will fly up to over the pit, one hand holding a skull fragment, and call upon his fires to summon a wave of Screaming Flames.
Fly 5ft up, past my allies, then cast, aiming towards the demon in the pit and travelling forward to hit the other demon.
SR if Subject Red: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
SR if Subject Blue: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Fire Damage Reflex DC24 for Half: 5d8 ⇒ (5, 5, 8, 4, 7) = 29
Wisdom Damage if they take Fire Damage Will DC24 Negates: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Rudzik |
In that case, Rudzik would have used the oil as the group was preparing.
Also, how did Red take that much damage from falling into the pit?
Rudzik sights down his bow and takes aim at the blueish demon.
Regular Longbow, RS, DA, FE: 1d20 + 18 - 2 - 3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 18 - 2 - 3 + 4 = 18
Good Cold Iron Piercing damage, DA, FE: 1d8 + 3 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 6 + 4 = 16

Iterative Longbow, RS, DA, FE: 1d20 + 13 - 2 - 3 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 13 - 2 - 3 + 4 = 15
Good Cold Iron Piercing damage, DA, FE: 1d8 + 3 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 6 + 4 = 19
A quick hand signal sets Wilk to guard, and the large wolf prepares to bite anything that comes close or tries to strike Rudzik.
GM Batpony |
It's not a regular pit, it's a hungry pit that crushes whoever it's shallows every turn. With that said, I forgot to apply the DR to those damages, so he would have taken 20 less, 10 less from falling dmg, and 10 less from bludgeoning crushing dmg
The screaming flames tingles the demons as it's natural resistance from it's moist scale-like skin protects it from the radiating heat of Emberwik's fire.
fire resistance 10, second one did not bypass SR.
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Will: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Rudzik's aim unusually veers off target, likely due to the foul odors of the creature hitting his nose at the very moment he takes aim.
Rudzik's attacks did not meet AC

Alchemist Bomb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
fire damage: 5d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 2, 1) + 3 = 14
Meiosa flies forward 40 feet forward and 10 feet up, and makes a bomb attack.

Falling Damage is not subject to DR. The bludgeoning damage would be though.
