Medicine: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Zaknar comes back in a dark, tinted hover taxi. He gets out, straightens his suit, and walks over to the storage compartment of the car. Upon tapping on the side, it pops open and he pulls out two bodies that look surprisingly similar to the mother and son and his three cases. With a broad grin he looks up to his compatriots as the sketchy taxi drives away, "Well, I have procured our ruse."

I'll round it off to 100 credits for the taxi rides

Historia 7 was very impressed with your work. She would like you to join the Stardinders even if it is just for the odd job.[/b] The dwarf tries to explain the laws described. Since the information was protected only in the building, Starfinders can purchase the information legally now that it is out. If the price doesn't include hiring the hacker we are free and clear of any follow ups. If you are hired after the theft, it is an entirely seperate incident and you would be safe. Again, Historia 7 would like your services in the future and it is in her interest to protect you.

Can I spend 10 minutes to gather information, after casting charming vaneer on myself, and see if there is anywhere that will take in refugees? As I have "friends" in need of a place to stay.

Igna makes some delicate inquiries about to the Stewards about 'theoretically' having them help falsify a death, but they shut her down. However, Zaknar and GalDCCII manage to get a pair of bodies and use medicine to do a convincing mock-up of the two, which, followed by Gulkyn pretending to be a bystander who has 'found' the bodies, sells the story of their deaths nicely.

Igna Failed. Gal, Gulkyn, and Zaknar succeed

After that, Igna and Trae use the cracks in the system Igna knows to obtain some 'replacement' IDs that were 'damaged' for the totally real people who definitely aren't Ceren and Jubai. Meanwhile, Gulkyn pretends to be them online, setting up a social circle for the two. The social network angle pulls through and he lines up a job interview for both of them in a few days time.

The crew is surprised how easy it is to set up some new identities for people, and you go to meet them in the park to tell them the good news at the appointed time.

However . . .

You arrive just as the scene starts to unfold, one of the corporate goons walks forward as if confident nothing will interfere with his plans. He talks in a strange, drawling way, with oddly clipped dialog in some places.

"Ms. Ceren, soooo, good to finally meet you. I . . . have some friends who would very much like to make your acquaintance."

The thug walks forward and tries to grab Ceren.

Fatigued condition wrote:
You can neither run nor charge, and you take a –1 penalty to your Armor Class, attack rolls, melee damage rolls, Reflex saving throws, initiative checks, and Strength– and Dexterity-based skill and ability checks. The amount of bulk you can carry without becoming encumbered is reduced by 1. If you are fatigued, doing an activity that would normally cause fatigue causes you to become exhausted instead. After 8 hours of complete rest, you are no longer fatigued.

You suffer only -1 to initiative and dex based checks, not -5, and your speed is not reduced unless the bulk limit load now puts you under a heavier load. This does not change your initiative placement in this battle, so we are good.

Akkedis Dauðlaus wrote:

"Yes, let us meet with the Wayfinders. I am curious to meet this Fitch, I have heard much about her." Akkedis falls into step behind the others.

As the party talks about wanting to go see Fitch while exiting the archives, Historia-7 swivels in her chair and addresses the party one final time.

"Fitch is not currently on the station, but overseeing repairs on one of our larger flagships, the Master of Stars. I believe a resupply shuttle is scheduled to depart from Absolom station at docking port 95 with more repair supplies destined to that vessel in the next hour or so, if you hurry, you probably could secure transit." she then swivels in her chair and returns to her work as if she hadn't said anything.

Racing to the docking ports you find a halfling with jet black hair is ordering a couple half-orcs and vesks to finish loading some crates onto a small intra-system transport shuttle. She looks bored and cranky.

"C'mon, load the last of the crates already!" she whines. "If you don't hurry up I won't get a good seat for the race! It's only a few hours from now!" She sulks and stamps her foot

Igna smiles upon seeing a lady Halfling bossing Vesks and Half-Orcs around: "Wait! Wait! We're not crates, but wait! !"

The halfling waives back at Igna. "Oh, Heya! I got this weirdo call outta the blue from Historia-7 saying some fellow Starfinders needed a trip to the Master of Stars. That's you guys? This shuttle's headed ta ol' Fitch's ship and I think I can squeeeeeeeze ya in." her surly attitude seems to disappear instantly like a switch as soon as she has someone to talk to.

"Yeeeaah! Check this out!" GalDCCII says blinking her new holoprojected Starfinder logo on and off.

GalDCCII offers to help load the crates. "What is so exciting about this race that I keep hearing about it?" It's not like Strawberry Sugar Pop hasn't completely hijacked all the day's highlights.

Acquisitives

Half-Orc Corporate Agent Envoy 2 | SP 12/12, HP 1/18, RP 2/4 | EAC 14, KAC 14 | Fort +0, Ref +3, Will +2 |

A flash of pity and maybe even fear crosses Zaknar's face as he looks at the half-orcs. But it is soon overwhelmed by disdain. He walks confidently toward the shuttle with his cases in hand pointedly averting his gaze away from the other half-orcs.

As the last of the crates are loaded, the halfling gives a mock salute to a half-orc saying "Thanks a lot, stinkbrain!" in a joking matter.

The Half-Orc replies "Anytime, pipsqueak!" and waves her off with a smile. She then piles in the shuttle with the rest of the team and straps herself in.

"I hate these runs, they are soooooo boring," as she expertly flips switches and gets the shuttle ready for departure. "Say . . . Igna . . . you're a member of the Stewards riiiiiight? I have these speeding tickets . . ."

Before you know it, you're off an the station’s Armada can be seen from the shuttle’s view screen, gleaming figures standing out against the emptiness of space. The Master of Stars immediately stands out from the rest, as
layers and layers of scaffolding obscure its hull. Tiny lights flicker among the metal beams as distant figures weld plates and heat shields to the ship’s exterior. The shuttle smoothly glides closer until it reaches the starship’s docking bay, slipping through the magic field that keeps the hold pressurized with breathable atmosphere. As the shuttle doors open, a small drone flies in and pops up a holoscreen, displaying a harried-looking ratfolk. “Finally, fresh meat!” the ysoki exclaims over the screen, sounding pleased. “Name’s Fitch—pleasantries over, time to get to work. I had some trouble earlier with the lights flickering on the ship, and now both the lights and computers have suddenly gone out on E-Deck. No idea what’s causing it, but you work this job long enough and—” Fitch’s attention flicks to something offscreen, and she shouts “Kirkath! The welding torch is not a toy! You wanna go in the toddler’s pen with the other kids?” She snorts dismissively before continuing, “Sorry, some of these little ones would cut off their own heads if I let them. Anyway, it could be some lunkhead screwed up the wiring, but that’s a pretty big system failure for a simple electrical short. I’d prefer to send in some people with combat training to scout it out, just in case someone or something is sabotaging the ship. If it’s nothing, great, get the power back on if you can. If there’s something suspicious, use your comm units to report in to me. I’ll give you the access codes, so— Selicha! If you touch that panel I will staple you to the hull!” The screen on the drone cuts out, then flashes to display the ship’s schematics and the passwords for the computers on E-Deck.
