Character Selection
Please finalize your character choice as soon as possible. If you haven’t already, include a link to the deck handler in your profile.

    Have you used this character before?
  • Yes, online: Provide a link to your current table. (Note that you’ll have to pause any other game once the Cosmic Captive event starts in 2 weeks.)

Tier Advancement
Each player needs to decide whether to play their character for tier advancement in this event.

    Tier advancement:
  • Earn scenario and adventure rewards.
  • Earn upgrades.
  • Earn feats after the 1st/2nd/4th scenario.
  • Increase a tier after 4-6 scenarios.
    No tier advancement:
  • Earn scenario and adventure rewards.
  • Earn upgrades.
  • (No feats, no tier progress.)

Party Communication
Some parties like to strategize via google hangouts; some parties just use it to alert when someone’s turn is up. Others parties prefer to communicate entirely via the discussion tab. It’s up to you!
Using a google hangout is completely optional. Please send me a Private Message indicating whether or not this is something you would be interested in; and if it is, please also include the e-mail address you wish to use. This is entirely voluntary, and the decision is anonymous. If anyone, for any reason, would rather not use google hangout, I will not set it up.

Posting Expectations
Please indicate what time zone you are in.
Because of the multi-table nature of this event, please try to take your turn within 24 hours. Obviously, let real-life take priority, but out of courtesy to the other players, try to let us know if something does come up. If necessary, I or another player you designate can take your turn for you, so feel free to leave instructions if you anticipate not be able to post in a timely fashion.
Use a posting style that works best for you, with as much or as little flavor as you feel comfortable with. It’s your game! The one thing that I would request is that you label your dice rolls with at least the difficulty and type of check.

I live in California, so I'm PST. My sleeping schedule however tends to be weird as I'm in college with night classes + I'm a vet tech intern so I do ranch calls in the morning sometimes. So my hours tend to be varied.


Scenario intro is up. Choose your starting location, then draw your opening hand.
Also, let me know what you want to do for turn order. Currently it's in order of timezone. But if you'd like to change it to a specific order, or would rather randomize, let me know that too.

Also, everyone needs to decide whether to choose the Water or the Fire scenarios. (Note that you'll play the other scenarios afterwards provided that there's time before the next phase begins, which is tentatively scheduled for around 2/9.) Let me know your preference ASAP so I can get the next scenario set up for you.

It’s actually ambiguous in the pdf, but I confirmed that they *do* still count.


I just realized that the Cargo Hold doesn't interact well with the scenario rule. Only cards from location decks can be put into the pile, so the alternate boons drawn from the box shouldn't be eligible.
I'm not going to try to retroactively correct what's already happened, but do note this going forward.

I'll also have the Pygmy Ankylosaur to help reduce a lot of damage.

Yep, that's correct.

Your "normal" upgrade works as usual. If you want the bonus upgrade, it has to be the exact card you picked. (Though, in your example, if you pick Blessing hoping for Erastil, and randomly get Gods instead, you don't have to take it.)

Yeah, sorry I messed up on the Erastil because I'm not taking a blessing for anything. I was hoping my draw would be the Milani.

I'm taking a Spell and Item Card Feats.

The Spell will be Unerring Weapon from UC, which is basic so it's fine either way.

And we have 2 Basic items for upgrades from the scenario, so I can use my normal card upgrade as one of those to take the Spyglass right?
